We hear your cry for help and stand with you in this painful situation. Racial discrimination is a sin that grieves the heart of God, for He created every person in His image, fearfully and wonderfully made (Genesis 1:27, Psalm 139:14). The Lord does not show partiality, nor does He tolerate it among His people (Acts 10:34-35, James 2:9). We rebuke the spirit of division, hatred, and prejudice in the name of Jesus Christ, for it has no place in the body of Christ or in the workplace.
Father God, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our brother/sister who is enduring racial discrimination. Lord, You are the God of justice and righteousness, and we ask that You intervene in this situation. Surround them with kind-hearted people who reflect Your love and acceptance, for You desire unity among all Your children (Colossians 3:11). Protect their heart from bitterness, anger, and despair, and fill them instead with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Give them the strength to respond with grace and wisdom, even in the face of injustice, and help them to see themselves as You see them—valuable, loved, and created for a purpose (Jeremiah 29:11).
We pray that those who are perpetuating this discrimination would have their eyes opened to the truth of Your Word. Soften their hearts, Lord, and convict them of their sin. Let them see the error of their ways and turn from their prejudice, for You desire all people to come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). If it is Your will, bring reconciliation and understanding where there is division, but if not, provide a way of escape for our brother/sister from this toxic environment (1 Corinthians 10:13).
We also ask that You would remind them of their identity in Christ. They are not defined by the hatred of others but by Your love. Help them to walk in confidence, knowing that You are their defender and shield (Psalm 3:3). Provide them with godly friendships and community where they can be encouraged and built up in their faith. Surround them with believers who will stand with them, pray for them, and reflect Your love to all people, regardless of race or background.
Lord, we know that You are a God who hears the cries of the oppressed (Psalm 10:17-18). We trust that You will act on their behalf, for vengeance belongs to You (Romans 12:19). Give them the patience to wait on Your timing and the faith to believe that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28). Strengthen them in their spirit, and let them be a light in the darkness, showing the love of Christ to those around them.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
