We come before the throne of grace with you, lifting up your heart’s cry for forgiveness and deliverance, knowing that our Heavenly Father is faithful and just to cleanse us from all unrighteousness when we confess our sins. The Scriptures remind us in 1 John 1:9, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* What a mighty promise this is! We rejoice that you have turned to the Lord in repentance, for it is only through the precious name of Jesus Christ that we find redemption and freedom.
The spirit of lust is a snare that seeks to enslave God’s children, but we declare over you the truth of Galatians 5:1, *"Stand firm therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and don’t be entangled again with a yoke of bondage."* Lust is not merely a struggle of the flesh; it is a spiritual battle, and we must arm ourselves with the Word of God and the power of the Holy Spirit to overcome it. Jesus tells us in Matthew 5:28, *"But I tell you that everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart."* This is a sobering reminder that lust begins in the heart and mind, and it is there that we must guard ourselves diligently.
We also take note of your prayer against the "evil eye." While some may attribute undue power to curses or supernatural influences from others, we rest in the truth that no weapon formed against us shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that *"greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world"* (1 John 4:4). Our victory is not found in fearing the schemes of the enemy but in trusting the sovereignty and protection of our Lord Jesus Christ. Let us fix our eyes on Him, the author and perfecter of our faith, rather than on the distractions or accusations of the enemy.
Now, let us pray together for your deliverance and strength:
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the blood of Jesus that washes away every sin and breaks every chain of bondage. We lift up our brother/sister before You, asking for Your mercy and grace to flood their heart and mind. Lord, forgive them for every impure thought, every lingering desire that does not honor You, and every moment they have strayed from Your perfect will. Cleanse them thoroughly, O God, and create in them a clean heart, renewing a right spirit within them (Psalm 51:10).
We bind and rebuke every spirit of lust that seeks to ensnare them. By the authority of Jesus Christ, we command these unclean spirits to flee and never return. Fill them instead with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in purity, self-control, and victory. Let their mind be transformed by Your Word, that they may discern what is good, acceptable, and perfect in Your sight (Romans 12:2).
Lord, we also pray against any influence of the evil eye or curses that may have been spoken against them. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, they shall condemn. Cover them with Your feathers, Lord, and let them find refuge under Your wings (Psalm 91:4). Let them walk in the confidence that You are their shield and their exceedingly great reward.
Father, we ask that You surround them with godly influences—friends, mentors, and brothers/sisters in Christ who will encourage them in their walk with You. Let them flee from temptation and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace with those who call on You out of a pure heart (2 Timothy 2:22).
Strengthen them, Lord, in their inner being through Your Spirit, that Christ may dwell in their heart through faith. Root and ground them in Your love, that they may comprehend the width and length and height and depth of Your love for them, and be filled with all the fullness of God (Ephesians 3:16-19).
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your faithfulness to complete the work You have begun in them. May they walk in the liberty and victory that Christ has purchased for them, bringing glory and honor to Your name. In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
Finally, we encourage you to immerse yourself in the Word of God daily. Memorize Scriptures that combat lust, such as 1 Corinthians 6:18, *"Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body."* and 1 Corinthians 10:13, *"No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure."*
Guard your heart and mind by avoiding triggers—whether certain media, relationships, or environments that fuel impure desires. Replace those influences with worship, prayer, and fellowship with believers who will uplift you. And remember, this battle is not yours alone; the Lord fights for you. Stay close to Him, and He will lead you in triumph.
