We come before the Lord with a heavy heart, recognizing the distress and turmoil these dreams have brought upon you. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but we stand firm in the authority of Jesus Christ, who has already overcome the world (John 10:10, 16:33). We rebuke every demonic influence, every spirit of fear, confusion, and torment that has manifested in these dreams. In the mighty name of Jesus, we command them to cease, desist, and be bound from operating in your life. The Word declares, "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you" (James 4:7). We take authority over these dreams and declare them null and void, for you are covered by the blood of Jesus and sealed by the Holy Spirit.

Father God, we ask that You would surround this beloved child with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Guard their mind, heart, and spirit as they sleep, and let no weapon formed against them prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We pray for a hedge of protection around them, that no evil would come near their dwelling (Psalm 91:10). Lord, we ask that You would fill their mind with Your truth, Your promises, and Your love, so that the enemy has no foothold. Renew their mind with the washing of Your Word (Ephesians 5:26), and let them meditate on what is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and admirable (Philippians 4:8).

We also lift up any areas of your life where the enemy may be gaining access. Dreams like these often reflect spiritual warfare, and we encourage you to examine your heart and life for any unconfessed sin, unforgiveness, or areas where you may have opened a door to the enemy. The Bible tells us, "Neither give place to the devil" (Ephesians 4:27). Have you been engaging in anything that does not align with God’s Word? Are there relationships, habits, or thoughts that need to be surrendered to the Lord? We urge you to confess any sin and repent, for the Lord is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).

Additionally, we want to gently address the mention of these dreams involving immoral or impure scenarios. The enemy often uses such tactics to shame, condemn, or tempt us into sin. But we declare that you are not defined by these dreams, you are a child of the Most High God, washed clean by the blood of Jesus. We rebuke every spirit of lust, perversion, and shame in Jesus’ name. The Word says, "There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus" (Romans 8:1). Stand firm in your identity in Christ, and do not let the enemy accuse you falsely.

We also encourage you to take practical steps to guard your mind and spirit. Before you sleep, pray and invite the Holy Spirit to fill your dreams with His presence. Declare Scripture over yourself, such as Psalm 4:8: "I will both lie down in peace, and sleep; for You alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety." Surround yourself with worship music or the reading of God’s Word to invite His peace into your heart. Consider fasting and prayer if this warfare persists, for the enemy trembles at the name of Jesus when we stand in faith and authority.

Lord, we ask that You would break every chain of fear, anxiety, and torment in this life. Let Your perfect love cast out all fear (1 John 4:18). We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We pray for a fresh infilling of the Holy Spirit, that you would walk in the fullness of God’s power and authority. May your mind be renewed, your spirit strengthened, and your heart filled with the peace of God that guards your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

We stand with you in faith, believing that the Lord will deliver you from every attack of the enemy. You are not alone in this battle, we are here to pray with you and for you. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). The Lord is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We declare victory over your life in the name of Jesus, for He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).

Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your faithfulness and Your promise to never leave us nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5). We trust in Your protection and Your power to deliver this child from every evil work. We pray that You would fill their dreams with Your peace, Your truth, and Your presence. Let them wake up each morning refreshed, renewed, and strengthened in You. We ask all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We hear the fear in your words. When sleep that should restore us instead fills the night with threats and drowning and loss, it can leave you on edge long after you wake. That kind of repeated distress grinds on the heart, and we don’t want you to carry it alone.

Sometimes our minds recycle the tensions we can’t settle while we’re awake, and the sheer volume of frightening images you described sounds exhausting. A simple, practical step you might try: before you go to bed tonight, spend a few quiet minutes speaking out loud that you belong to Christ, and entrust the hours of sleep to His care. You don’t need to rehash every dream; just place the whole night and your mind into His hands, and then intentionally let it go. If you wake shaken, remind yourself in the moment, “Jesus holds me, and His peace is real right now.” Over time, that practice can loosen the grip those images have on you.

We also want to gently mention that if these intense, recurring dreams continue or begin to disrupt your days, it could be wise to let a doctor know what you’re experiencing. Sometimes things going on in our bodies or stress we aren’t fully aware of can stir up sleep disturbances, and a medical check can offer clarity. That’s not a lack of faith, just good stewardship of the body God gave you.

Let’s pray now. Lord Jesus, You are the One who calmed storms with a word. We ask You to quiet this dear person’s mind and room tonight. Guard their sleep. Render powerless every haunting image, and flood their rest with Your safe presence. Restore their peace, and help their body and spirit receive the deep rest You designed. In Your strong name, Amen.

You have had a night of bad dreams, more than twenty of them, you say, and they have left your soul shaking. I am not surprised. When sleep, which God gave to be a gentle restorer, becomes instead a theater of terrors, the whole day after can feel bruised. Dreams can come from many quarters: from a troubled body, from a day of anxious thoughts, or sometimes from the adversary himself, who loves to find a door ajar and push his dark shapes through. But they do not come from God to make you fear. The Shepherd does not send wolves to frighten His sheep.

What I want you to see most plainly is this: your dreams are not prophecies. They are not the faint outlines of a future God has decreed for you. A dream that threatens your relationships, your safety, or your very life, these are the sort of shadows that flee when the morning comes, unless we give them a lodging in our hearts and treat them as more than they are. The evil one would be glad for you to spend today brooding over what you saw in the night, as if a nightmare had the power to undo what Christ has secured. But it has no such power. The blood of Jesus speaks, and its voice is not drowned out by any terror of the dark.

Think of it this way: a man may receive a letter sealed with black wax and edged in mourning, but when he breaks it open, he finds it is a love letter from his dearest friend. The outside looks like death; the inside is full of kindness. So your sleep was edged in black, but your waking life is held in the grip of a love that cannot fail. You belong to Christ. No dream can tear you from His hand.

And what do you do with these terrors? You have already done the best thing: you have brought them to God. You have prayed against them, rebuked, rejected, and bound them out. That is not a small thing. That is the reflex of a living faith. A person who has no faith simply shudders and tries to forget. But you have taken the trouble to the throne of grace, and that is proof that the Spirit of adoption is in you, crying, “Abba, Father.” Keep doing that. Do not treat the dreams as if they deserve your deep study. Do not give them the dignity of your prolonged attention. Hand them over to the Lord and leave them there. The very name of Jesus is a hammer that breaks such things in pieces.

When I hear you speak of drowning in the dream, I remember that the child of God sometimes feels the water rising, but it is only the outside water. It is not inside the soul. A ship in deep water is perfectly safe as long as the water stays outside. Your heart is the vessel; Christ is the captain. He will not let the water come in beyond His leave. The drowning you saw was not true. You are alive, you are breathing, and you are held.

I do not deny that the enemy sometimes rages hardest when a blessing is near. But that only goes to show you cannot trust your feelings or your dreams; you must trust the faithful promise. The Lord has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” That promise is true when you sleep and when you wake. It is true when your dreams are sweet and when they are foul. It does not shift with the weather of your mind.

One more homely picture: a child wakes in the night terrified by a shadow on the wall. The father comes and sits beside the bed. He does not explain the shadow away with long arguments; he simply takes the child’s hand. “I am here,” he says. “Nothing shall harm you.” That is what your heavenly Father says to you now. You have woken in the dark, but His hand is upon you. The shadow is just a shadow. The morning is coming, and in the light of His face you will see how little those night-phantoms really were.

Let us pray it all over into His safekeeping.

Father, into Your hands we commit this dear soul and all the fears that the night has left behind. We do not deny that the dreams came, but we deny them any right to speak into the day. We take the precious blood of Jesus and we cover every unclean image, every threatening word, every terror of the deep waters. We ask You to ban and destroy every dark seed that the enemy tried to plant in sleep. Let none of it come to pass, not in any form or chapter. Give, instead, the sleep of a child who knows his Father watches. In this house and in this heart, let there be a great calm, because Jesus is here. And let Your servant rise tomorrow with a song. Amen.

We want to thank you for the trust you placed in us by sharing your prayer request. It has been our privilege to stand in agreement with you, lifting these troubling dreams before our Heavenly Father. We have prayed fervently, asking God to rebuke every spirit of fear, confusion, and oppression that may have sought to disturb your peace. We declared His authority over every dream that does not align with His goodness and asked Him to banish any lingering effects of these visions from your mind and spirit.

If the Lord has already answered your prayer and brought you peace, we would be so encouraged to hear a praise report from you. Please share how God has moved so that we may rejoice together in His faithfulness. If, however, these dreams persist or new concerns have arisen, we invite you to post this request again. We are committed to continuing with you in prayer, standing firm in the truth that God’s power is greater than any disturbance in the spiritual realm.

May the Lord surround you with His protection, fill your heart with His peace, and remind you of His constant presence. We pray that He would guard your mind as you sleep, replacing every troubling image with the assurance of His love and sovereignty. May you rest in the knowledge that He is your defender, your refuge, and your strength. We continue to lift you up, trusting that God will bring clarity, comfort, and victory in every area of your life.

In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
