🙏 Pursue Love 1 Cor 14:1, Love Abounds in Discernment, Wisdom to Choose Highest Phil 1:9-11, Constantly Knowing God Better Serving w/Joy Col 1:9-12

Beloved of All
🙏 Father thank You for demonstrating Your love for us was so great -- that while we were sinners -- You gave Your Only Son, The Christ, to die for us, Rom 5:8, that we might believe in Him, not perish, but have everlasting life, Jn 3:16. Help us freely receive a fresh and new reminder of that great love again (even as it has already been shed abroad in our hearts by The Holy Spirit, Rom 5:5). Much more now shall we be saved by His Life! Rom 5:9-10. We ask let Your love abound in us (and our love for You abound and overflow toward others, Acts 4:31, Eph 5:18) in all knowledge of God and true discernment, Wisdom to Choose highest of all possible options, that we may be sincere and without mixture, being filled with the fruits of righteousness which come through Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of You, His and our one true Father, Phil 1:9-11. Fill us with the knowledge of Your will and all that results from that, namely a walk worthy of Jesus' Name, pleasing You every way, abiding fruit in all good works, growing by increasingly knowing You more deeply, strengthened with all power, according to the might of Your glory, for the attaining of all consistency, joyously giving thanks at all times for for qualifying us to share in the inheritance of the saints-in-light, Col 1:9-12.

🙇🏻 Perfect Father, we are admonished to pursue love, AND earnestly desire its expression through spiritual gifts, especially the edification of Christ's church, 1 Cor 14:1. We ask again in accord with the apostolic prayers, asking, “May our love abound in all knowledge and intense discernment, so we may distinguish between things that differ (see and choose those things which are highest, most excellent, and different from all earthly things -- God's perfect will, way and timing -- which transforms us by the renewing of our minds, as test and approve what the will of God is, that which is good, acceptable and perfect, c.f. Rom 12:2), in order to be sincere and blameless (without anything in our lives that can give offense to The Gospel, or cause our own faith to "hiccup" but rather remain steadfast), Phil 1:9-11, (See Matt 5:45, where we show ourselves to be children of Our Father in Heaven [who is Perfect, Matt 5:48], and Lk 6:35, where we will be called Children of The Most High, consistently bearing His image more clearly, 2 Cor 3:8, by showing what He is really like), Gen 1:27, 1 Cor 15:49.

Father, we are "always praying that we may stand PERFECTLY ASSURED in ALL the WILL OF GOD," Col 4:12. We ask for PRACTICAL WISDOM, James 1:5, Prov 2:6-7, and our inheritance as CHILDREN to be LED by The Holy Spirit, Rom 8:14, in PATHS of RIGHTEOUSNESS and JUSTICE, Prov 8:20, HEARING THE VOICE of JESUS, The Lord OUR SHEPHERD, Jn 10:4-5, 27.

Thank you for angels "sent forth to render service for the sake of those who will inherit salvation,” Heb 1:14, Ps 91:11-12. Keep us from temptation, Lk 11:4, sin, 2 Cor 13:7, Ps 119:2-3, wrongdoing, lies and fear, Zeph 3:13, and let us cease from sin, 1 Cor 15:34, 1 Peter 4:1-2, 1 John 3:9. Lead us not into temptation but rather deliver us from evil, Matt 6:13, and "see to it no one deceives us," Mt 24:4, for evil influences, Matt 24:12, evil people and imposters proceed from bad to worse in the last days, deceiving and being deceived, 2 Tim 3:13, keep us from those who claim to know God but by their deeds deny Him, Tit 1:16, have a form of godliness but deny it's power, in fact let us turn away from such as these, 2 Tim 3:5, again, keep us from evil people and the evil one, 2 Thes 3:2-3. We pray like Jesus, not that You take us out of the world, but rather You keep us from the evil one, John 17:15, lead us not into temptation, but rather keep us from the evil one, Matt 6:13. Grant favor as a shield, Ps 5:12, as we thank You in advance, Mk 11:24, and may the peace of God that passes comprehension guard hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, Phil 4:6-7, 2 in whom all the promises are yes and amen, Cor 1:20. In Jesus' Name, Jn 14:13-14.

We lift our hearts together in gratitude for the profound truth that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us, demonstrating the depth of God’s love (Romans 5:8). This love, so freely given, is the foundation of our faith and the wellspring of our hope. It is only through Jesus Christ, His life, death, and resurrection, that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We rejoice that this love has been poured into our hearts by the Holy Spirit (Romans 5:5), and we ask now for a fresh revelation of its magnitude, that it may overflow from us to others in sincerity and truth.

Father, we earnestly pursue love as Your Word commands (1 Corinthians 14:1), not as the world defines it, but as You have revealed it, selfless, sacrificial, and rooted in Your holy nature. We ask that our love would abound in knowledge and discernment, that we may approve what is excellent and be sincere and blameless until the day of Christ (Philippians 1:9-11). Teach us to walk in wisdom, choosing the highest and most excellent way, that our lives may reflect Your glory and bring praise to Your name.

Fill us with the knowledge of Your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, that we may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to You, bearing fruit in every good work and growing in the knowledge of God (Colossians 1:9-10). Strengthen us with all power according to Your glorious might, so that we may have endurance and patience with joy, giving thanks to You for qualifying us to share in the inheritance of the saints in light (Colossians 1:11-12). Father, we long to stand perfectly assured in Your will (Colossians 4:12), led by Your Spirit in paths of righteousness (Psalm 23:3), hearing the voice of Jesus, our Good Shepherd (John 10:27).

We recognize the times we live in are marked by deception, where evil people and impostors grow worse, deceiving and being deceived (2 Timothy 3:13). We pray for discernment to recognize those who have a form of godliness but deny its power, and we choose to turn away from such influences (2 Timothy 3:5). Keep us from the evil one, Lord, and deliver us from temptation (Matthew 6:13). Surround us with Your angels, who are ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation (Hebrews 1:14), and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

Father, we ask for practical wisdom (James 1:5) to navigate the complexities of life, that we may live in a manner worthy of the calling we have received (Ephesians 4:1). Let us not be conformed to this world but transformed by the renewing of our minds, that we may prove what is that good, acceptable, and perfect will of God (Romans 12:2). Help us to put off the old self with its practices and put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge after the image of its Creator (Colossians 3:9-10).

We pray for those who may be struggling with sin, whether it be the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, or the pride of life (1 John 2:16). Father, convict us where we have strayed, and lead us back to the path of righteousness. For those entangled in sexual immorality, whether fornication, adultery, or the sin of homosexuality, we ask for Your mercy and deliverance. Your Word is clear that such things are not only sinful but also harmful to the soul (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). Grant repentance and healing to those who have been deceived by the lies of the enemy, and restore them to a life of purity and holiness.

For those seeking marriage, we pray that they would pursue godly spouses who share their faith in Christ, for marriage is a sacred covenant designed to reflect the relationship between Christ and His Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). May courtship be conducted with purity, honor, and the goal of holy matrimony, rather than fleeting relationships that dishonor You. Let Your love be the standard by which all relationships are measured, and may Your will be done in every heart.

Father, we thank You for the promise that all Your promises are "Yes" and "Amen" in Christ (2 Corinthians 1:20). We stand on this truth, believing that You are faithful to complete the good work You have begun in us (Philippians 1:6). Keep us from evil, lead us not into temptation, and fill us with Your Spirit so that we may bear the fruit of righteousness (Galatians 5:22-23). May our lives be a living testimony to Your grace, and may we bring glory to Your name in all that we do.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12). Amen.

Your prayer echoes a deep, God‑given longing, to love well, to see clearly, and to walk in step with the Spirit. That kind of desire itself is evidence that He is already at work in you. So take heart: you are asking for what pleases Him most.

One thing we notice is how love and discernment belong together in this request. They are not competing priorities. Real discernment grows best in a heart that is already leaning toward love, because love quiets the noise of self-interest and makes us sensitive to what God values. So as you ask for wisdom to “choose the highest,” remember that the highest way is always love-shaped. In practice, that might mean pausing in a specific situation today and asking quietly, “What would love look like right here?” Often, that simple question sharpens our discernment more than a long internal debate.

A concrete, small step we have seen help many is to turn the prayer outward: look for one opportunity this week to express the love you are receiving from the Father to someone in your tangible world. It might be a genuine word of affirmation, a note, or an unhurried moment with a lonely person. When you move from praying for love to offering it, your own capacity to receive and recognize God’s love often deepens.

And regarding the protection you asked for, we join you in that. But we also want you to rest in the truth that the One who calls you is faithful. He will not simply shield you from deception; He is shaping you into someone who instinctively responds to His voice because you know Him. The more you stay close to the Shepherd, the less alluring the stranger’s voice becomes.

Let’s pray together now.

Father, we thank You that You have already poured Your love into our hearts. Strengthen our friend to walk in that love with genuine, clear‑eyed discernment. Anchor them in the simplicity of following Jesus each day. Guard them from confusion and evil, not just outwardly but down in the quiet places of the heart. Fill them with joyful, grateful service, and let their life bear the unmistakable marks of Your goodness. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Such a prayer as this, poured out with such fervent desire for love, discernment, and the fullness of God, surely rises like incense before the throne. It is a sweet echo of the Spirit’s own intercession, for you seek nothing less than that which delights the heart of our Father, to know His love, to walk in wisdom, and to be kept from the evil one. Be assured, then, that He who hears the cry of His children will not withhold any good thing from them that walk uprightly.

You ask that love may abound in all knowledge and discernment. Remember that this love, which has already been shed abroad in your heart by the Holy Ghost, is not a stagnant pool but a living fountain. Our Lord takes pleasure in seeing His people grow in grace and in the knowledge of Himself. He remembers the first dew of love He Himself worked in you, and because of that grace-work, He turns to you still, never forgetting His own. Though He may smite to drive away iniquity, yet even then His heart overflows with love, and He lets fall a word of pity for His mourners. So press on, beloved; let your love joy in His love, for He joys over you with singing and rests in His love toward you. Drink abundantly of this banquet, let no scruple hold you back from the excitements of holy fellowship with Christ.

You plead for practical wisdom and the leading of the Spirit, that you may walk worthy of the Lord and choose those things which are most excellent. This is the very inheritance of the sons of God. Be not fearful; He has scattered His “fear nots” all along your path like riverbanks spangled with forget-me-nots. They that know His name will put their trust in Him. It is heart-knowledge, the deep, experimental acquaintance with God in Christ Jesus, that creates faith. And as you grow in this knowledge, you shall be made strong according to His glorious might, able to discern between good and evil, and to approve that perfect will of God. He who called you will also lead you in paths of righteousness for His name’s sake, and you shall hear His voice behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk ye in it.”

The supplication for deliverance from temptation and the evil one touches the very center of His covenant care. He has delivered you from the power of darkness and translated you into the kingdom of His dear Son. Let faith grasp this: the ransom has been found, not by human invention but by divine love. God Himself provided the Lamb, and having spared not His own Son, how shall He not with Him also freely give you all things? The wicked one touches you not, for you are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation. Though you walk in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, He will hide pride from you and hold back the excess of riot, even as He has done for so many of His saints who were once wonders of sin but are now trophies of grace.

Rest then in His great love wherewith He loved you, even when you were dead in sins. He does not bless His people with a distant, half-hearted affection, but with His whole soul. The whole Godhead is at home in blessing those whom everlasting love has ordained to everlasting life. Let the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, garrison your heart and mind. Go forward with joy, giving thanks to the Father who has made you meet to share the inheritance of the saints in light. In every valley, in every storm, hear Him whisper, “I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.” And until the day break and the shadows flee away, let your love joy in Him, as He joys in you. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You have asked for love to abound with knowledge and discernment, and rightly so, for the love that pleases God is not a blind sentiment but one that chooses the highest good, rooted in the fear of the Lord which is the beginning of wisdom. When you pray to be filled with the knowledge of His will and to walk worthy, know that this comes not from the wisdom of words but from the power of God. He who opens the eyes of the humble and hides these treasures in Christ alone will grant you full assurance if you seek all things from Him. Do not look to your own strength, for nothing is of ourselves, remission, adoption, glory, all are of God.

But consider: the knowledge you seek is not idle. It is proven by love that lives for the common advantage. You have a talent, however small it seems; bury it not. Even the widow with two mites, even unlearned men like Peter and John, became great because they showed zeal and did all for the good of others. Nothing is so pleasing to God as this. Therefore, let your love abound in action: serve as unto the Lord, not with eye-service, but from a sincere heart, knowing you will receive from Him.

In your prayer you ask to be kept from evil people and from the evil one, to stand perfectly assured in God's will. This is gained not by seeking power or by outwitting the wicked, but by the victory that comes through suffering wrong rather than doing it. The fool says in his heart there is no God and puffs himself up, but you, child of the Most High, remember that true freedom and security lie in virtue alone. When you endure injustice with patience, you show yourself a child of your Father in heaven, and you heap coals on the head of the one who wrongs you.

So strive to please God continually, casting all wickedness from your soul. Let no deceit or haughtiness take root, for that is the beginning of folly. Instead, walk in the lowliness that bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things. The world may call this weakness, but it is your inheritance as one led by the Spirit. Persist in prayer, and do not doubt: He who delivered Paul from so many perils will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus, upon whom all the promises are yes and amen.

Your prayer is a beautiful expression of a heart that is truly seeking the things of God. You have woven together the Scriptures in a cry for love, discernment, wisdom, and protection, and that kind of surrendered asking delights the Father’s heart. He is the one who first loved us and proved it beyond all doubt by sending His Son while we were still lost and helpless. And if He gave us that supreme gift, He will not hold back any needed grace for the path ahead.

What stands out in reading your request is the deep desire not merely to know about love but to have it abound and overflow in real, practical ways. That is exactly what the Spirit works in us as we yield to Him. Paul’s prayer in Philippians, which you quoted, anchors everything in an abounding love that is tethered to knowledge and all discernment. Love is never meant to float free from truth; it grows robust and wise when it is rooted in the mind and will of God. When love and wisdom walk together, you can distinguish between what is merely good and what is the highest, most excellent choice in any moment. That is the pathway to being sincere and blameless, not by gritting your own teeth, but by being filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ.

The call to pursue love, which you mentioned from First Corinthians, sits beside the call to get wisdom. The book of Proverbs personifies wisdom as crying out in the streets, lifting her voice at the gates, pleading with the simple to leave their simplicity behind. It is a passionate invitation, because wisdom is of infinite value. “Get wisdom,” the proverb says, “and with all thy getting, get understanding.” When Solomon asked not for riches or the death of his enemies but for a hearing heart to govern the people, God was so pleased that He gave wisdom and poured out honor and wealth as well. That tells us something about God’s priorities: He longs to give wisdom to those who prize it above earthly rewards. And the fear of the Lord, standing in awe of Him and turning away from evil, is where that wisdom begins.

You have asked for practical wisdom, to be led by the Spirit into paths of righteousness, and that is a prayer that will never go unanswered when it comes from a child who trusts the Father. True wisdom, the kind that descends from above, is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits. It never brings envy or strife; it leads into a life of holiness. So as you ask for heaven’s wisdom, be encouraged that the same Spirit who sheds abroad God’s love in your heart is the Spirit of wisdom and revelation. He will sharpen your spiritual senses to reject the voice of strangers and to know the Shepherd’s voice more distinctly.

Your request also acknowledges the reality of temptation and the need for deliverance from evil. That is a sober and healthy place to live. The Lord taught us to pray daily for deliverance from the evil one, and He does not chide us for asking repeatedly. Wisdom herself promises, “I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.” And alongside that, the shield of God’s favor surrounds those whose trust is solely in Him. As you walk this out, remember that wisdom is not just an abstract idea or a set of facts. It is a Person, the Lord Jesus, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. To know Him better is to walk in wisdom.

Let your pursuit of love be anchored in the kind of love the Father has shown. It is not the love that merely gives back to those who give to us, nor a fleeting feeling, but a giving love that flows from the nature of God Himself. While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. That magnificent act redefines love entirely. So when you pray that your love would abound, you are asking for something supernatural, a life that gives freely, that forgives, that serves, that does not keep a record of wrongs. That is the love that never fails, the one that abides forever even when prophecies and knowledge are done away.

You are safe to ask boldly. Keep asking for hearts and minds guarded by the peace of God. Keep asking to be strengthened with all might according to His glorious power for all patience and longsuffering with joy. And as you walk in that love and that wisdom, you will indeed be a child of your Father in heaven who acts like Him, even toward those who might not deserve it. This is what sets believers apart: we are not to love the world’s way, but to come out from its defilements and be separate, and the Father will receive us and walk among us.

So be encouraged today that the Spirit who first stirred you to pray those passages is already working to answer them. He will guide you into all truth. He will purify your desires. He will give you a discerning heart that chooses the highest and walks in a manner worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing. Thank Him in advance, because every promise is a “yes” and “amen” in Christ, and the love that has been poured into your heart is only the beginning of the rivers that will flow out to others. Stay close to the Shepherd’s side, listen for His voice, and you will not be led astray.
