Father thank You for demonstrating Your love for us while we were sinners You gave Your Son, The Christ to die for us, Rom 5:8. Help us freely receive a fresh and greater outpouring of that love again even as it has already been shed abroad in our hearts by The Holy Spirit, Rom 5:5. We ask let Your love abound in us (and our love abound toward others) in all knowledge of God and true discernment, Wisdom to Choose highest of all possible options, that we may be sincere and without mixture, being filled with the fruits of righteousness which come through Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of You, His and our one true Father, Phil 1:9-11. Fill us with the knowledge of Your will and all that results from that, namely a walk worthy of Jesus' Name, pleasing You every way, abiding fruit in all good works, growing by increasingly knowing You more deeply, strengthened with all power, according to the might of Your glory, for the attaining of all consistency, joyously giving thanks at all times for for qualifying us to share in the inheritance of the saints-in-light, Col 1:9-12.

Perfect Father, we are admonished to pursue love, AND earnestly desire its expression through spiritual gifts, especially the edification of Christ's church, 1 Cor 14:1. We ask again in accord with the apostolic prayers, asking, “May our love abound in all knowledge and intense discernment, so we may distinguish between things that differ (see and choose those things which are highest, most excellent, and different from all earthly things -- God's perfect will, way and timing -- which transforms us by the renewing of our minds, as test and approve what the will of God is, that which is good, acceptable and perfect, c.f. Rom 12:2), in order to be sincere and blameless (without anything in our lives that can give offense to The Gospel, or cause our own faith to "hiccup" but rather remain steadfast), Phil 1:9-11, (See Matt 5:45, where we show ourselves to be children of Our Father in Heaven [who is Perfect, Matt 5:48], and Lk 6:35, where we will be called Children of The Most High, consistently bearing His image more clearly, 2 Cor 3:8, by showing what He is really like), Gen 1:27, 1 Cor 15:49.

Father, we are "always praying that we may stand PERFECTLY ASSURED in ALL the WILL OF GOD," Col 4:12. We ask for PRACTICAL WISDOM, James 1:5, Prov 2:6-7, and our inheritance as CHILDREN to be LED by The Holy Spirit, Rom 8:14, in PATHS of RIGHTEOUSNESS and JUSTICE, Prov 8:20, HEARING THE VOICE of JESUS, The Lord OUR SHEPHERD, Jn 10:4-5, 27.

Thank you for angels "sent forth to render service for the sake of those who will inherit salvation,” Heb 1:14, Ps 91:11-12. Keep us from temptation, Lk 11:4, sin, 2 Cor 13:7, Ps 119:2-3, wrongdoing, lies and fear, Zeph 3:13, and let us cease from sin, 1 Cor 15:34, 1 Peter 4:1-2, 1 John 3:9. Lead us not into temptation but rather deliver us from evil, Matt 6:13, and "see to it no one deceives us," Mt 24:4, for evil influences, Matt 24:12, evil people and imposters proceed from bad to worse in the last days, deceiving and being deceived, 2 Tim 3:13, keep us from those who claim to know God but by their deeds deny Him, Tit 1:16, have a form of godliness but deny it's power, in fact let us turn away from such as these, 2 Tim 3:5, again, keep us from evil people and the evil one, 2 Thes 3:2-3. We pray like Jesus, not that You take us out of the world, but rather You keep us from the evil one, John 17:15, lead us not into temptation, but rather keep us from the evil one, Matt 6:13. Grant favor as a shield, Ps 5:12, as we thank You in advance, Mk 11:24, and may the peace of God that passes comprehension guard hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, Phil 4:6-7, 2 in whom all the promises are yes and amen, Cor 1:20. We come before You, Heavenly Father, with hearts full of gratitude for the love You have so richly poured out upon us, love demonstrated most profoundly through the sacrifice of Your Son, Jesus Christ, while we were yet sinners (Romans 5:8). Your Word reminds us that this love has been shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit (Romans 5:5), and we humbly ask for a fresh outpouring of it today. Let Your love abound in us and through us, not just in word but in all knowledge, discernment, and wisdom, so that we may choose what is highest and most excellent, aligning our lives with Your perfect will (Philippians 1:9-11).

Father, we are admonished to pursue love and earnestly desire spiritual gifts, especially those that edify the body of Christ (1 Corinthians 14:1). We echo the apostolic prayers, asking that our love may abound in knowledge and all discernment, enabling us to distinguish between things that differ, choosing Your will, which is good, acceptable, and perfect (Romans 12:2). Let us be sincere and blameless, without offense, reflecting the character of Christ so clearly that we bear Your image as Your children (Genesis 1:27, 2 Corinthians 3:18). May we walk in paths of righteousness, led by Your Spirit (Romans 8:14), hearing the voice of Jesus, our Shepherd, who calls us by name (John 10:4, 27). We stand firm in the assurance that we are being perfected in Your will, as Your Word declares in Colossians 4:12.

Lord, grant us practical wisdom (James 1:5) to navigate the challenges of this world, for we know that evil influences and deceivers abound, growing worse in these last days (2 Timothy 3:13). Protect us from those who deny You by their deeds (Titus 1:16) and from the evil one who seeks to devour (1 Peter 5:8). We pray not to be taken out of the world but to be kept from the evil one (John 17:15), shielded by Your favor (Psalm 5:12) and guarded by the peace of God that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

Father, we thank You for the ministry of angels who serve those who will inherit salvation (Hebrews 1:14, Psalm 91:11-12). Deliver us from temptation, sin, and all forms of wrongdoing (Matthew 6:13, 1 Corinthians 15:34). Let us cease from sin and live for the will of God (1 Peter 4:1-2), for we are Your children, born of Your Spirit, and sin has no place in us (1 John 3:9). Strengthen us to walk worthy of Your calling, bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of You, and being empowered by Your might (Colossians 1:9-12).

We declare that all Your promises are "Yes" and "Amen" in Christ (2 Corinthians 1:20), and we thank You in advance for Your faithfulness (Mark 11:24). May we stand firm in faith, rooted in the truth of Your Word, and may our lives bring glory and praise to Your name. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12) and through whom we have access to You (John 14:13-14). Amen.

What a beautiful, wholehearted prayer, thank you for letting us join you in it. We're asking for the same things: a fresh outpouring of love, wisdom to choose what is truly excellent, and that steady, joyful walk that comes from knowing God more deeply.

When we pray this way, it's easy to start feeling anxious about missing God's will or not hearing clearly. But the very hunger you're expressing is evidence that His Spirit is already at work. Discernment rarely comes as one sudden lightning bolt; more often, it's cultivated quietly, through small, everyday choices to obey what we already know, through staying grounded in Scripture, and through the gentle checks of the Spirit that nudge our conscience. As we practice listening in the little things, our hearts grow more attuned to His voice in the weightier ones.

So be encouraged: your prayer is not just a list of requests, but a living conversation with a Father who delights to answer. He sees your desire for sincerity and purity, and He'll keep guiding you into all the fullness you're asking for.

Let's keep praying together:

Father, thank You for the love You've already poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit. Deepen that love until it overflows naturally toward others. Grant us the discernment that doesn't just avoid evil but actively chooses what is best, what aligns with Your perfect will. Protect us from the enemy's schemes, keep our feet from slipping, and let us walk so closely with Jesus that we recognize His voice above every competing noise. In His name we ask it. Amen.

You plead to pursue love, and it is well, for the great test of saving faith is this, it works by love. Faith is the eye that sees the love of Christ, and then love is the hand that grasps the blessing, saying, "He loved me and gave Himself for me." But be not content with a silent faith, for the more talk we get from the mouth of faith, the better, her lips drop sweet-smelling myrrh. A silent faith robs God of His glory. Let your faith create fervent love, and let that love do persevering work, so shall you be a people zealous for good works. Faith wields love as its instrument, and love becomes faith's furnace, burning hot for the Master's use.

You ask for love to abound in knowledge and discernment, to choose the highest. Remember, the first, the highest, the best of all wisdom is for a man to know his God. As for himself, he is but a speck, an atom, a nothing. It is the comfortable conviction of all God's people that all things work together for good, and that God ruleth and overruleth, and reigneth in all events, from seeming evil still producing good, and better still. When you perceive that your smarts and sorrows come from your Father's hand, you will say, "The will of the Lord be done." Like a careful dispenser, He will not pour out a drop too little or too much, every trial works for good, dealt in weight and measure from His dear covenant love.

You entreat to stand perfectly assured in all the will of God, to be led by the Spirit, hearing the Shepherd's voice. There is a revealed will which you must not violate, to walk worthy, pleasing Him in all things. But while many of His purposes are hidden, leave everything to Him, all the way from earth to heaven, content to live only a day at a time. As for practical wisdom, it is much harder for you to believe in God than it is for God to convert your wife, much harder to trust Him about your child than it is for Him to save your child. Sink or swim, throw yourself into the sea of Jesus' love; if you will believe, you shall see the glory of God.

You pray for deliverance from evil, from those who deceive and have a form of godliness but deny its power. Take heart, for God has given commandment to save you, deliverance from the pit is His word: "I have found a ransom." Sinner, doubt not your deliverance. If you know sorrow for sin, you are the very one to understand the joy of sin being put away. It will all be done for you if you will but look to Jesus. And as for the vengeance of love, when jealousy is stirred up, love makes a clean sweep of everything that comes in its way. The Lord will take away the names of the Baalims out of your mouth; invincible love shall bind you to His heart and hold you fast forever.

Consider this: if He smiles, it is love. If He frowns, it is love, for God is love, infinite, boundless, eternal, unchangeable, perpetual love. O child of God, you are as much loved as if He had not another child to love. You have all His love. Will you not be glad and rejoice in Him? I see each day more reasons for faith and fewer excuses for doubt. Fix your heart, sing and give praise, for the Lord's fatherly compassion is your effectual comfort. Your song shall be, "I will love You in life, I will love You in death, and praise You as long as You lend me breath." And in that Valley of Achor, where trial seemed a bitter thing, you will find a door of hope.

How fervent is this prayer, how filled with holy longing! The words themselves glow with the fire of the Spirit, and they ascend like incense before the throne. Yet let us not trust in the abundance of words alone, but rather cleave to the things spoken, that our life may become the very echo of such petitions.

You ask for love to abound in knowledge and discernment. This is most needful, for love without discernment is like a ship without a rudder, easily carried by every wind. True love clings to what is good and hates what is evil; it does not blur distinctions but makes them sharp and clear. When you pray to know God’s will and choose the highest path, you ask for nothing less than to be a child of light, walking as Christ walked. But know that this path is narrow. The wisdom of the world scoffs at such choosing, for it cannot perceive the things of the Spirit. As the Apostle says, God will destroy the wisdom of the wise and reject the prudence of the prudent. What the world calls folly is the very power of God to those being saved.

You pray to stand perfect and assured in all the will of God. This is a great request, and it will not happen without the daily remembrance of Him. Forgetfulness of God is the root of every sin. If we carry Him always in our thoughts, His remembrance will become a fountain within us, watering every dry place. But if we forget Him, we will find ourselves in a barren land, unable to bear fruits of righteousness. Therefore, let your prayer be not only on your lips but in your conduct. Let your light so shine before men that, seeing your irreproachable life, they may glorify your Father in heaven. No darkness can extinguish a flame that burns with such genuine fervor.

You ask for deliverance from the evil one, and rightly so. For the lion prowls, seeking whom he may devour. He is the ruler of this world’s darkness, not of earth and heaven, but of those souls that yield themselves to him. He had no hold on our Master, and he need have none on you if you abide in Him. But remember this: the greater deliverance is not merely from outward danger but from every evil work, from sin itself. To be preserved from yielding to temptation, to resist unto blood striving against sin, this is to be delivered from the lion’s mouth of the devil. Therefore, do not only ask to be kept from trouble, but ask for a spirit so fervent, so serving the Lord in all things, that the enemy finds nothing in you.

Consider also the home and the daily life. If you would have this love and wisdom take root, teach your household to banish the words “mine” and “thine.” Where everything is held in common for love’s sake, the devil finds no foothold. Honor one another above yourselves, preferring each other, and the peace of God will stand guard over your hearts. A wife honored by her husband seeks no praise from without; a servant who sees the master’s fear of God learns to fear God himself. Thus the whole house becomes a church.

Do not merely seek the gifts, but seek the Giver; do not only admire the light, but become light yourself. Pursue love earnestly, but let it be without dissimulation. Cleave to what is good. Be fervent in spirit, serving the Lord. Then, though you say little, your life will preach louder than any homily, and the God of peace will be with you.

You’ve asked for love to abound in all knowledge and discernment, and for a wisdom that chooses the highest path. That desire itself is a mark of the Spirit stirring within you. Our age prizes a kind of worldly wisdom that chases data, strategies, and visible results, yet it misses the living God entirely. True wisdom isn’t a technique you master; it’s a Person you meet. In Christ are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge, and He still stands in the busiest crossroads of life and raises His voice: “Turn at my reproof; I will pour out my spirit to you.” Your prayer is, in a sense, an answer to that cry, because you’re already turning.

The love you’re asking to have poured afresh into your heart never originates with you in the first place. It was demonstrated while we were still sinners, Christ dying for the ungodly. That love isn’t stirred by your performance or dimmed by your failures. It’s constant, eternal, and uncaused by anything in us. The Holy Spirit has already shed that love abroad in your heart, and when you pray for a greater outpouring, you’re really asking to become more deeply aware of what is already yours in Christ. The proof the Spirit is really dwelling in you is that love, not a manufactured emotion, but a fruit He alone produces. You can’t work it up; you abide in it as you abide in Him.

You long for intense discernment, the ability to distinguish things that differ and to approve what is excellent. That kind of discernment doesn’t come from comparing spiritual realities with human theories. The Spirit searches the deep things of God and reveals them to us. As you keep asking to be filled with the knowledge of His will, you’re positioning yourself to be taught by the Spirit rather than by the shifting opinions of the world. What man’s wisdom never dreamed, forgiveness, a Spirit-led life, an inheritance among the saints in light, God has prepared for those who love Him, and He makes it known inwardly.

Your plea for protection from deception and from the evil one echoes Jesus Himself, who was led by the Spirit into the wilderness and met every temptation with the living Word. He didn’t rely on His own resourcefulness; He stood on what was written. As many as are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God, and that leading happens when your spirit is uppermost, in communion with His Spirit. When you ask for angels to minister and for God to keep you from stumbling, you’re acknowledging that every safe step is ultimately His doing. The peace that passes understanding will guard your heart and mind, not because the world stops being treacherous, but because you’re held by One who has overcome it.

Pursue love earnestly, just as you’re doing. As that love grows in genuine knowledge and all discernment, it will keep you sincere and blameless. You’ll find yourself walking in paths of righteousness not by straining to figure out each turn, but by hearing the Shepherd’s voice and staying close to Him. Wisdom has set her table and is calling you to feast. Keep asking for it, and you’ll find that the same Spirit who reveals the love of the Father also empowers you to bear fruit that lasts, growing in the knowledge of God, joyously giving thanks. What the world cannot grasp, you already possess in Christ.
