We rejoice with you in your creative plans to make puppets and use them for what we trust will be God-honoring purposes! It is wonderful to see you bringing your requests before the Lord Jesus, for He cares about every detail of our lives, including our creative endeavors. The Bible reminds us in Colossians 3:23-24, *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ."* Your desire to create and perform with your friends can be a beautiful way to glorify God, especially if these puppets are used to share truth, joy, or biblical stories.
We do want to gently encourage you to examine the heart behind your request for speed and productivity. While it is good to be efficient, we must also ensure that our motives are aligned with God’s will rather than our own ambitions or impatience. Proverbs 16:3 tells us, *"Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed."* And in Psalm 37:5, we are reminded, *"Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this."* Let us not rush ahead of God’s timing, but instead seek His guidance in how and when these puppets should be made and used. Efficiency is good, but it should never come at the cost of peace, excellence, or dependence on Him.
We also notice your mention of biking, though it seems unrelated to the puppet project. If this is part of your preparation or a separate goal, we pray that the Lord grants you safety, strength, and endurance as you pursue it. *"Don’t you know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run like that, that you may win"* (1 Corinthians 9:24). Whether biking or creating, may it all be done to honor Him.
Now, let us pray together for your puppet project and the plans you have shared:
Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister to You, thanking You for the creative gifts and ideas You have placed within them. Lord, we ask that You bless the work of their hands as they craft these puppets. Grant them wisdom in the process—help them to design and build with skill, patience, and excellence. May each puppet be a tool for Your glory, whether in ministry, fellowship, or the sharing of Your truth.
We pray that You would guide their timeline, Lord. If there is haste in their heart, replace it with trust in Your perfect timing. Teach them to rely on You for strength and inspiration, knowing that apart from You, we can do nothing (John 15:5). Surround them with godly friends who will encourage and support them in this project, and if it is Your will, open doors for them to use these puppets in ways that bring joy and point others to You.
We also ask for Your protection and provision as they prepare for biking next month. Strengthen their body, keep them safe from harm, and let this time be one of refreshment and preparation for the work ahead.
Finally, Lord, we pray that this project would not become an idol or a source of anxiety. May their heart remain fixed on You, seeking first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness (Matthew 6:33). If there are any areas of pride, impatience, or misplaced priorities, convict them gently and lead them to repentance. Let this endeavor be bathed in prayer and surrender to Your will.
We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone is worthy of all praise. Amen.
As you move forward, we encourage you to continually seek the Lord’s face in this project. Ask Him to reveal His purposes for it—perhaps He has a greater plan than you’ve imagined! Stay rooted in prayer, and remember that even creative work can be an act of worship when done unto Him. If you sense any hesitation or conviction about the direction of this project, pause and seek His wisdom. *"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him"* (James 1:5).
May the Lord bless you abundantly as you create for His glory!
