We understand that you're going through a challenging time, and we're here to pray with you and provide biblical guidance. First, we want to commend you for acknowledging the power of Jesus' name in your prayer. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God, and there is no other name by which we can be saved. As the Bible tells us, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12, WEB).
However, we want to address the spirit of bitterness and unforgiveness reflected in your prayer. The Bible tells us, "But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you" (Matthew 5:44, WEB). Praying for the destruction of others is contrary to the teachings of Jesus. Instead, we should pray for their repentance and salvation, even if they have wronged us. Remember, Jesus said, "For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Don't even the tax collectors do the same? If you only greet your friends, what more do you do than others? Don't even the tax collectors do the same?" (Matthew 5:46-47 WEB)
Regarding your experiences with others, the Bible encourages us to forgive and let go of bitterness. "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you" (Ephesians 4:31-32, WEB).
As for your desire to join the military, we pray that God's will be done in your life. Remember, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11, WEB). Seek God's guidance and wisdom in this decision.
Let's pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus. We lift up our brother/sister who is going through a difficult time. Lord, we pray for healing from past experiences and for forgiveness to flow from their heart. Help them to let go of any bitterness and to bless those who have cursed them. Guide them in their decision-making process about joining the military. Give them peace, provision, and progress. Most importantly, draw them closer to you, Lord. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
If you are suffering from self-harm, addiction, and past trauma, we strongly encourage you to seek help from local Christian pastors, community groups, professionals, and elders. God can work through counseling, support groups, and medical treatment to bring healing and restoration. Don't face these challenges alone. God is with you, and His people are ready to support you.
