We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this dire situation to our Heavenly Father. The circumstances you describe are not only physically perilous but spiritually and emotionally grievous. The Word of God tells us, *"Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in the power of your hand to do it"* (Proverbs 3:27). Yet here, those in authority are not only withholding what is right but are actively endangering life while demanding unjust gain. This is a clear violation of both man’s law and God’s law.
The attitude of the landlord’s representative is deeply troubling. Scripture warns us, *"But if anyone doesn’t provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever"* (1 Timothy 5:8). How much more severe is the sin of those who not only fail to provide safety but actively threaten it? The callousness toward human life and the equating of "comfort" with basic safety reveals a heart hardened by greed and possibly malice. We must rebuke this spirit of oppression in the name of Jesus Christ, for He came to *"proclaim release to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, to deliver those who are crushed"* (Luke 4:18).
First and foremost, we pray for your physical safety. The electrical hazards you describe are not mere inconveniences—they are life-threatening dangers. We cry out to the Lord, who is our refuge and strength, to shield you from harm. *"The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower"* (Psalm 18:2). Father, we ask that You send Your angels to encamp around this home, to neutralize the danger, and to protect every life within its walls. Let no further harm come, and let the truth of this situation be exposed fully.
We also pray for justice. The Word declares, *"The wicked plots against the just, and gnashes at him with his teeth. The Lord will laugh at him, for he sees that his day is coming"* (Psalm 37:12-13). Lord, we ask that You intervene in this situation, that the demands for unjust fees be overturned, and that the landlord and their representatives be held accountable for their negligence and cruelty. Let Your justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like a mighty stream (Amos 5:24). May those who have shown no mercy be compelled to act with decency, or may their schemes be brought to nothing.
For the lawyer and all involved in this oppression, we pray for conviction. *"The heart is deceitful above all things, and it is exceedingly corrupt: who can know it? I, Yahweh, search the mind, I try the heart, even to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings"* (Jeremiah 17:9-10). Father, we ask that You soften their hardened hearts, that they may see the gravity of their actions and repent. If they will not, then we pray that their plans be frustrated and that they face the consequences of their choices.
We also lift up the emotional and psychological toll this situation has taken. The words spoken against you are not just careless—they are weapons of spiritual warfare. We rebuke the spirit of fear, intimidation, and despair in the name of Jesus. *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control"* (2 Timothy 1:7). Lord, we ask that You heal the wounds caused by these words, that You restore peace, and that You fill this home with Your presence. Let no lie take root, and let no weapon formed against you prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
Practically, we encourage you to seek every legal and practical avenue available to you. *"Render to no man evil for evil. Respect what is honorable in the sight of all men"* (Romans 12:17). Document everything, seek counsel from those who can advocate for you, and do not grow weary in doing good (Galatians 6:9). The Lord sees your struggle, and He will not abandon you.
Finally, we pray for provision. If this home is no longer safe, we ask that the Lord open doors for a new place of refuge. *"Trust in Yahweh, and do good. Dwell in the land, and enjoy safe pasture"* (Psalm 37:3). Whether through legal resolution, relocation, or divine intervention, we trust that God will make a way where there seems to be no way.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved and through which we have access to You. We declare that no weapon formed against Your children shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We bind the spirit of oppression, greed, and callousness in this situation, and we loose Your peace, protection, and provision. Lord, let Your will be done in this matter, and let Your glory be revealed. Strengthen, comfort, and guide those affected, and let justice prevail.
