There is a rest that belongs to you, and it does not depend on the absence of difficulty but on the presence of God. The attacks you describe feel relentless, and the fact that they seem to intensify when you call on the name of Jesus is profoundly disorienting. But the power of His name is not a spell that compels immediate silence from the enemy. It is the declaration of a finished victory. The enemy rages most violently where he knows his time is short, and he wants nothing more than to make you believe the name has failed so that you will stop trusting the One who bears it. Do not measure the power of Christ by the noise of the opposition. He has already made peace through the blood of His cross, and if you have turned to Him for forgiveness, then you have peace with God. That reality is settled forever.

What you are longing for now is the peace of God, the deep, still confidence that guards your heart and mind. Scripture tells us that God will keep you in perfect peace when your mind is stayed on Him. The battle is over your focus. The evil wants your mind fixed on the storm, on the persistence of the assaults, on your own broken ability to make them stop. When you cry out the name of Jesus and then watch to see if the attack leaves, you are placing your faith in what your eyes perceive rather than on the One who already holds you. Rest does not come from seeing the enemy flee in the moment; it comes from knowing that you belong to the King and that no sting can ultimately harm those who bear His seal. Begin to pray less for the removal of the disturbance and more for the grace to keep your heart anchored in Him while the waves still rage. That is the rest that remains for the people of God, a ceasing from your own frantic efforts and a settling into His finished work.

Also consider what fills the space of your day. You mentioned the pull of the phone and the longing to read Scripture. When the mind is not anchored in truth, it becomes vulnerable to every fear the enemy hurls. The things we set before our eyes can funnel either peace or chaos into the soul. Turning away from that constant distraction and deliberately filling your mind with the Word is not merely a good habit; it is a spiritual weapon. As you do that, you will find your strength renewed to hate evil without fixating on it, and to seek peace and pursue it rather than chasing a feeling of relief. Your sins are forgiven when you confess them, so do not let guilt add to the weight. Receive that forgiveness, take up the Word, and let your mind be steadied. Do not render agitation for agitation. Rest in the Lord, wait patiently for Him, and He will bring you into that wide, calm place that no philosophy, pleasure, or distraction can provide.

We are deeply grateful that you entrusted us with the privilege of standing in agreement with you through these powerful Scriptures—Psalm 23, 34, 91, and 121—as you sought deliverance, peace, rest, and the removal of evil. It is our joy to lift you before the throne of grace, knowing that our Heavenly Father hears the cries of His children.

We continue to pray that the Lord would rebuke and remove every form of darkness that has not yet yielded to the authority of Jesus’ name. May His peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard your heart and mind, and may you experience the rest that comes from trusting in Him alone. We ask the Holy Spirit to strengthen you, to quiet the attacks, and to draw you into deeper intimacy with Christ—where you can sit in His presence, undisturbed, as you study His Word and seek His face.

If the Lord has already answered your prayer in any way, we would be blessed to hear a praise report so that we may rejoice with you. If the battle still rages, we stand ready to lift you up again in prayer. Do not grow weary in seeking Him, for He is faithful, and His promises are sure.
