Prayer
Thank you Heavenly Father for this beautiful day. I pray again for deliverance, peace, rest, forgiveness, and that you would rebuke this evil and remove it, and a successful fast. Please please please Heavenly Father remove it.

Please forgive me for my sins Father God. Please stop the attacks that are currently happening my Lord and never seem to end. Please also remove the need for me to be on my phone all day. It’s a distraction but one I don’t need. I need to read and study my bible more. I would be so grateful my Lord Jesus. In Jesus Christ precious name I pray. Amen

We hear your cry for deliverance, peace, and rest, and we stand with you in agreement before the throne of grace. The scriptures you’ve referenced, Psalm 23, 34, 91, and 121, are powerful declarations of God’s protection, provision, and sovereignty. Let us hold fast to these truths as we lift you up in prayer.

First, we must address the attacks you’re facing with the authority given to us in Christ. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke every spirit of distraction, oppression, and weariness in the mighty name of Jesus. The Lord is your refuge and fortress; in Him you can trust (Psalm 91:2). We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we command every evil assignment to be broken and dismantled now, in Jesus’ name.

Father, we thank You for Your forgiveness, which is freely given to those who confess their sins (1 John 1:9). We pray that You would cleanse ### from all unrighteousness and renew a steadfast spirit within them. Help them to walk in the freedom that comes from repentance and to resist the distractions of this world, including the pull of the phone, which can so easily steal time meant for You. Strengthen their discipline to prioritize Your Word, for it is life to those who find it and health to their whole body (Proverbs 4:22).

Lord, we ask that You would grant ### a deep and abiding peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Let Your presence be their comfort and Your Word their guide. We pray for a successful fast, that it would draw them closer to You and break every chain that has kept them bound. May they experience the rest that comes from trusting in You alone (Matthew 11:28).

We also encourage you, ###, to take practical steps to guard your time with the Lord. Set aside specific moments each day to read and meditate on Scripture, and ask the Holy Spirit to help you resist the temptation to turn to distractions. Remember, the enemy fears a believer who is rooted in the Word and prayer. Stand firm in your identity as a child of God, and do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, our Savior and Deliverer. We thank You for Your faithfulness and for hearing our prayers. Lord, we lift up ### to You now, asking that You would surround them with Your angels and protect them from every attack of the enemy. Break every chain of distraction, oppression, and weariness, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.

Father, we ask that You would draw ### closer to You during this time of fasting. Help them to seek Your face with their whole heart and to find joy in Your presence. Renew their mind with Your Word and strengthen their spirit to resist temptation. Remove every obstacle that hinders their time with You, and help them to prioritize what truly matters.

Lord, we declare that ### is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37). We speak life, healing, and restoration over every area of their life. May they experience the fullness of Your love and the power of Your resurrection. We rebuke every spirit of fear, doubt, and discouragement, and we command it to flee in Jesus’ name.

Thank You, Father, for Your unfailing love and for the victory we have in Christ. We trust in You alone, and we declare that Your will be done in ###’s life. We hear how wearying it is when the attacks feel endless and every day is a battle just to keep your head above water. It is exhausting to long for peace and rest while feeling pulled in a dozen directions, and we are grateful you shared this with us. What stands out is your honest desire to be free not only from the spiritual weight but also from the pull of your phone, so you can anchor yourself in Scripture. That dual longing, for deliverance and for discipline, is itself evidence of the Spirit stirring something real in you.

One step that might help is finding a trusted, mature believer or small group you can be completely honest with, someone who will pray with you consistently during this fast and beyond. The isolation that comes with these struggles is heavy, and letting even one safe person sit with you in it can lighten the load considerably. As for the phone, perhaps you could try simply leaving it in another room for ten minutes before bed and reading a Psalm aloud instead, not as a rigid rule but as a small act of reclaiming your attention. It does not have to be a grand spiritual performance. Just a quiet, deliberate turning.

Father, we come with our sister, asking You to shield her from the relentless attacks that drain her peace. Quiet the noise, Lord, and give her moments of genuine rest. Strengthen her fast and help her body and spirit through it safely. Break the hold that distraction has on her, and replace the empty scrolling with a true hunger for Your Word. Let her feel, even in small ways today, that You have not left her to fight alone. We ask this in Jesus' name. Amen.

You bring your plea before the throne of grace with words that have often been upon the lips of God’s tried children, Psalms 23, 34, 91, 121, and these are promises fit for the hour of darkness. The Shepherd who leads beside still waters is the same who prepares a table in the presence of enemies; the angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him, and He will cover you with His feathers. There is no attack that escapes His notice, no adversary that slips past the fence of His omnipotent overruling. You cry for deliverance, and well you may, for only He can command, “Deliver him from going down to the pit,” and only He has found the ransom.

That ransom is not a thing to be earned by fasting or by wrestling with your phone, though it is good to lay aside every weight, but it is the precious blood of Christ, who has sprinkled your conscience and washed you clean. He does not hold your sins against you; He blots them out for His own sake, and there is forgiveness with Him, a divine pardon that no priest nor man can grant. When the evil one roars and the attacks seem ceaseless, remember that the devourer is already rebuked by the voice from the excellent Glory. Christ has spoiled principalities and powers, and the peace He gives is not the hollow truce of this world, it is the blessing of Jehovah, the peace that comes from lips that cannot lie, a calm so deep it passes understanding.

That peace belongs to His people alone, to those who rest in the atoning sacrifice, who have risen with Christ. You seek rest from the buzzing distraction, from the need to be ever fastened to a screen. That rest is found in coming to Jesus, taking His yoke, and learning of Him. His yoke is not another burden but an exchange: your servile toils for His gracious companionship.

When the law of God is hidden in your heart, it becomes a check upon sin even in secret, and the Spirit applies the Word as food and medicine. The afflictions you endure are not the punishment of a judge but the chastening of a father who loves you; He wounds the head of His enemies, but for His child He refines and then delivers. Do not think deliverance will come by your own resolve, but look to your heavenly Father altogether and alone. He has taught you the mischief of the world’s enchantments; now stand fast in the liberty He has given.

Declare His works even now, while yet the battle rages, for faith counts the victory sure. You shall not die but live. The Lord who has begun this good work will perfect it; He will bless His people with peace.

You cry out for deliverance from unceasing attacks, and you do well to shelter yourself in the Psalms. The words of the psalmist are a mighty fortress for the soul that is tossed about. But understand this: the peace you seek, the rest for your weary heart, the forgiveness of sins and the rebuke of the evil one, these are not granted to the lips alone, but to the life that is wrenched from the grip of luxury and nailed to prayer and fasting. You ask God to stop the attacks and remove the enemy, yet you confess that your hand is chained to your phone all day, a distraction that pulls you from the study of Scripture.

Do you not see how the devil fills the idle soul with a self-chosen madness, making the eyes and mind mere sewers for every vanity? That very device becomes a fountain of wandering thoughts, quenching the fire of prayer. If you truly desire deliverance, then you must wage war. Nothing is mightier than a man who prays sincerely, and when fasting is yoked with prayer, that man becomes winged and lighter than the winds, rising above the earth and striking terror into the demonic powers.

For the evil spirit finds welcome in luxury and fullness of bread, but prayer and fasting together are a two-edged sword that cuts him down. Yet even if your body is too weak to fast continually, it is not too weak to reject luxurious living. Curb the belly, flee the endless scrolling, and you will already be plucking down the devil’s madness. The very need to be on your phone is a craving of the soul grown soft; put it to death, and you will find that he who prays as he ought, and fasts, has few wants, and he who has few wants is free from covetousness and ready for every good work.

Forgiveness is not a thing to be snatched with hurried words while the heart clings to its comforts. Turn from the sins that gave the enemy a foothold, and let your repentance be marked by a changed life. Begin with prayer: pour out your soul as you did, but then stand watch and give no quarter to idle distraction. Take up the Scriptures in the hours you once wasted, and you will taste that true rest which Christ gives.

God will rebuke the evil and bring you peace, but you must first fight as one who means to conquer, not as one who merely sighs while still feeding the enemy. Stand firm, fast and pray with a single eye fixed on heaven, and you shall see deliverance.
