Psalm 121, gratitude , deliverance, peace, rest, rebuke evil

JesusourLordandSavior

Beloved of All
Thank you heavenly for blessing us all with another day.

Please my Lord and Savior, grant me deliverance from the evil and the evil attacks I face daily. They are nonstop. Please Father God stop what it is doing at this very moment. Please grant me peace my Lord Jesus Christ. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

Scripture : Psalm 121

“I lift up my eyes to the mountains— where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not let your foot slip— he who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The LORD watches over you— the LORD is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. The LORD will keep you from all harm— he will watch over your life; the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.

We join you in gratitude and thanksgiving to our heavenly Father for blessing us all with another day of life and mercy, for His mercies are new every morning. We lift up your cry for deliverance with you, and we stand together on the truth of Psalm 121:1-2 that your help comes from Yahweh, who made heaven and earth. We take comfort that He who watches over you will not slumber, indeed He who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep as it says in Psalm 121:3-4, and we trust that He is your shade at your right hand and that He will keep you from all harm and watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore as promised in Psalm 121:7-8.

We hear your burden that the evil attacks you face are nonstop, and we want to remind you that our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places as taught in Ephesians 6:12. Therefore we encourage you to put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil according to Ephesians 6:11. We rebuke the evil and every attack of the enemy that has been coming against you, and we command it to be stopped at this very moment in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We declare that greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world as promised in 1 John 4:4, and that no weapon that is formed against you will prevail according to Isaiah 54:17. We agree together that you will submit yourself therefore to God, resist the devil, and he will flee from you as we are instructed in James 4:7, and that you will be sober and watchful, resisting him steadfast in your faith as taught in 1 Peter 5:8-9.

We also pray for the deep peace and rest you are seeking. Our Lord Jesus said in John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you, and in Philippians 4:7 the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. We pray that this peace will guard your heart and mind even while the attacks have felt relentless. Jesus invites us in Matthew 11:28 to come to Him, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and He will give you rest, and we pray that you will experience that rest tonight, that you will lie down and sleep in peace for Yahweh alone makes you live in safety according to Psalm 4:8. We are assured in 2 Thessalonians 3:3 that the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one.

We pray together now.

Heavenly Father, we thank You together for Your faithfulness and for keeping us through this day. We lift up our brother before Your throne in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Father, we ask for Your deliverance, rebuke every evil influence and every attack that has been waged nonstop, and stop what the enemy is doing at this very moment. Cover him with Your presence, let Your peace that surpasses all understanding guard his heart and mind, and grant him quiet rest and restoration. Help him to keep his eyes lifted to You, from whom his help comes, and to walk in Your protection over his life and over his coming and going. Establish him, strengthen him, and let him know that You neither slumber nor sleep but watch over him continually. We trust You to keep him from all harm and to let Your perfect love cast out all fear. We ask all this in the powerful and saving name of Jesus Christ, amen.

We are thankful you began with gratitude for another day, even while you feel worn down by attacks that seem nonstop. We hear how heavy that constant pressure has been and how deeply you long for peace and rest right now.

When things feel relentless it is easy to feel alone in the battle. We hold to the truth that God is not distant or sleeping, but steadily watching over you, and He invites you to bring every fear to Him.

One steady help is to not walk through this alone. If you have a trusted pastor or mature believer, consider asking them to pray with you regularly and to know what you are facing, so someone can stand with you and help you stay grounded. And as you wait on the Lord, simple steady rhythms can support rest, a consistent time to sleep, a quiet moment to be still before Him, and time in fellowship. Peace often grows through faithful small steps over time, not only in a single moment.

Father, we thank You for Your care today and for hearing this cry. In Jesus' name we ask You to bring deliverance where there is oppression, to quiet what is troubling Your child in this moment, and to grant real peace and rest. Keep them under Your watch and draw them close to You. Amen.

Your thanksgiving and your cry for deliverance have been heard, and we join our hearts with yours before the throne of grace. You have lifted up your eyes unto the hills, and rightly you have confessed where your help comes from. Your help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.

It is a precious thing to begin the day with gratitude. That you are kept to see another morning is itself a mercy, and it becomes you to declare the works of the Lord. The believer learns to see that even his afflictions are within the fence of omnipotent overruling, and that the Lord Himself sits as a Refiner at the door of the furnace. He chastens sorely, but He does not give over unto death. Therefore you may say with the Psalmist, I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.

You speak of evil and of attacks that are nonstop, and you ask for deliverance at this very moment. Hear the voice which comes from the excellent Glory concerning every poor sinner who looks to Christ, Deliver him from going down to the Pit, I have found a ransom. Nobody would have thought of that way of deliverance if God had not thought of it. He has not only invented the way, but He has found the ransom Himself in His dear Son. In Christ, you are saved from yourself and from all the attacks of your old sins, saved from the devil, saved from the power of darkness. Deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin, and we must look to our heavenly Father altogether and alone for it. He who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep, and He will keep you from all harm. He will watch over your life, your coming and your going, both now and forevermore.

You ask also for peace and for rest. Know this, that this peace only comes from God. The Lord will bless His people with peace. You cannot work it out yourself. It is peace from lips that cannot lie, peace through the blood which has made a full atonement. The blood of Jesus whispers peace within. If you rest in Christ alone, if the atoning sacrifice is your soul's great hope, then that peace is yours. And with that peace comes rest. Our Lord says, Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. There is a rest He gives at the first coming, rest from the burden of sin, and there is a rest you find as you learn of Him and walk with Him, rest from molesting cares. By an act of faith you may recline upon His promise now and find that rest shall at once follow.

And as for evil, we pray that the Lord will rebuke it and keep your foot from slipping. When the temptation comes, even in loneliness when no human eye is upon you, may the law of your God be within your heart to keep you from evil. When your enemies go round about like dogs that bay all night, do as David did and say, My soul, wait thou only upon God, for my expectation is from Him.

We pray for you now. O Lord, who has found a ransom, deliver this Your child from going down to the pit. Be gracious and command deliverance. Let Your shade be at the right hand by day and by night. Rebuke the evil one and all his assaults, and let them be snapped and broken. Bless Your people with peace, that perfect peace which comes through Jesus Christ our peace. Give rest to this weary one, and cause the heart to be satisfied with Your mercy. Keep this life from perishing and preserve Your saint forever. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior we ask it. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We join you in giving thanks to the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth, for the gift of another day and for His mercy that is new every morning. Your lifting up your eyes to Him is itself an act of faith, and we stand with you in that faith.

Psalm 121 gives a sure promise that your help comes from the Lord. He who watches over you will not slumber nor sleep. He is your shade at your right hand, He will keep you from harm and watch over your life, over your coming and going both now and forevermore. When attacks feel nonstop, remember that the Watcher over Israel never grows weary and never looks away from you.

We pray with you for deliverance. Scripture teaches that the gospel is a gospel of peace, and that when we are at war with the evil one we are at peace with God through Jesus Christ. It is through Christ alone that we have peace with God and victory over evil, for He came to reconcile heaven and earth and to break the power of darkness. We ask the Lord Jesus to rebuke every evil influence that assails you, to stop its work at this very moment, and to surround you with His protection. May He prepare your heart and make firm your steps, so that your foot will not slip.

We also pray that God, who is not a God of war and fighting but the God of love and peace, will grant you the peace and rest you seek. True peace is the mother of all good things and the foundation of joy, and it comes in the Holy Spirit through righteousness and a life close to Christ. There remains a rest for the people of God, not only rest for the body but rest for the soul that trusts in Him. May He quiet your thoughts, calm your heart, and let you lie down in His peace.

Do not face this struggle alone. The adversary most boldly attacks when we are isolated, but when we are gathered together in prayer and in the fellowship of the Church we are strengthened. Keep close to the Lord in prayer, in His Word, and among fellow believers who can pray with you and for you continually.

We pray now: Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your constant watch over Your children. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, grant our brother deliverance from every evil attack, rebuke the evil that presses in, and let it have no more power. Fill this heart with Your peace that passes understanding, grant deep and restoring rest, and keep this life in Your hand today and always. Amen.

Your thankfulness for another day is a beautiful place to begin, and Psalm 121 gives such a firm foundation for that gratitude. Your help does come from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. He does not slumber or sleep as He watches over you. He is your shade at your right hand, keeping you from harm and watching over your life and over your coming and going both now and forever.

You asked for deliverance from evil and for the attacks to stop, and for peace and rest. God hears that cry. Scripture teaches that the fear of the Lord is to hate evil, and the beginning of wisdom is to turn away from it and not learn to tolerate it. Evil always asks to be tolerated and to be compromised with, but God hates evil and calls His people to depart from it. When you turn from evil and do good, you position yourself to seek peace and to pursue it, and the promise is that the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous and His ears are open to their prayers.

There is a spiritual conflict between good and evil that you are feeling in these nonstop attacks. The way to stand in an evil day is to be clothed with truth and to hold fast to the good news that you can have peace with God. That peace with God only comes through the blood of Jesus Christ, who made peace for us. Once you have peace with God, you can then know the peace of God. Jesus said, peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you. It is a peace that passes all understanding and that guards the heart and mind.

That perfect peace is kept for the one whose mind is stayed on the Lord, because he trusts in Him. When your eyes are lifted to Him and your mind is fixed on Him, rather than on the turmoil around you, His peace begins to fill your heart. It is the confidence that God is in control and that He is working even when you cannot see it. For those who continue in rebellion there is no peace, they are like a troubled sea, but to those who come to Him, whether far off or near, He says peace, peace, I will heal you. The righteous who walk in uprightness shall enter into peace and rest.

So respond to the attacks of the enemy as Jesus did, with the word of God. It is written is your defense. Stand with truth, share and hold to the gospel of peace, and do not return evil for evil. Refrain your tongue from evil, turn away from what is wrong, do what is good, and pursue peace. Recognize that the source of this oppression is spiritual, and bring it to the Lord who never sleeps.

I pray for you now that the Lord will rebuke what is coming against you and grant you deliverance. May He ordain peace for you and keep you in perfect peace as your mind is stayed on Him and your trust is in Him. May you know both peace with God through Christ and the deep rest of the peace of God in your heart and mind today, and may He watch over you and give you rest. In Jesus name, amen.
