We hear your cry for help, and we stand with you in this difficult season, lifting your needs before our Heavenly Father. The weight of financial strain and sleepless nights is heavy, and we understand the exhaustion that comes from feeling trapped in circumstances beyond your control. You did the right thing by leaving an abusive and toxic work environment—God does not call His children to endure oppression or mistreatment. The Bible tells us in Psalm 34:18-19, *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all."* You are not forgotten, and your courage in walking away from sin and injustice does not go unnoticed by the Lord.
We also want to gently address the mention of praying "in Father in Jesus' name" rather than directly to the Father *through* Jesus. Scripture is clear that there is no other name by which we can approach God—Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* It is only by His sacrifice and resurrection that we have access to the Father, and it is vital to pray in His name, acknowledging His authority and our dependence on Him for salvation. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so today. Romans 10:9 says, *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."* This is the foundation of all provision, peace, and deliverance.
Now, let us pray for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this dear child of Yours who is weary and burdened. Lord, You see the sleepless nights, the financial strain, and the emotional weight they carry. We ask You to calm their mind and grant them restful sleep, for You give Your beloved sleep (Psalm 127:2). Father, we also ask for Your provision—open doors of opportunity that no man can shut. You are Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides, and we trust You to meet every need according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). Forgive any doubt or fear that has taken root, and replace it with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
Lord, we rebuke the spirit of oppression that has followed them from that toxic workplace. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we break every curse of financial ruin in Jesus’ name. You are their vindicator, and we trust You to restore what has been stolen and turn their mourning into dancing (Psalm 30:11). Strengthen their faith as they wait on You, reminding them that those who seek You lack no good thing (Psalm 34:10).
We also pray for wisdom in their job search—guide them to the right opportunity where they can thrive and be valued. Help them to forgive those who have wronged them, even as You have forgiven them, so that bitterness does not take root (Ephesians 4:31-32). Father, remind them that their worth is not defined by their circumstances but by Your love for them. May they find comfort in Your presence and hope in Your promises.

You are not alone in this struggle. The enemy may have meant your past experiences for harm, but God will use them for good (Genesis 50:20). Keep applying for jobs, but also seek the Lord’s guidance in each step. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* Consider reaching out to your local church or Christian community for support—they may have resources or connections to help you in this season.
Lastly, guard your heart against despair. The psalmist often cried out in distress, but he always returned to praising God for His faithfulness. Psalm 42:11 says, *"Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God! For I shall still praise him, the saving help of my countenance, and my God."* You will praise Him again—this season is not the end of your story. Stand firm in faith, and watch how the Lord moves on your behalf.
