Proverbs, Chapter 27

27:1 Don't boast yourself of tomorrow; For you don't know what a day may bring forth.

27:2 Let another man praise you, and not your own mouth; A stranger, and not your own lips.

27:3 A stone is heavy, and the sand weighty; But a fool's vexation is heavier than both of them.

27:4 Wrath is cruel, and anger is overwhelming; But who is able to stand before jealousy?

27:5 Better is open rebuke Than love that is hidden.

27:6 Faithful are the wounds of a friend; But the kisses of an enemy are profuse.

27:7 The full soul loathes a honeycomb; But to the hungry soul every bitter thing is sweet.

27:8 As a bird that wanders from her nest, So is a man who wanders from his place.

27:9 Oil and perfume rejoice the heart; So does the sweetness of a man's companion [that comes] of hearty counsel.

27:10 Your own companion, and your father's companion, do not forsake; And don't go to your brother's house in the day of your calamity: Better is a neighbor who is near than a brother far off.

27:11 My son, be wise, and make my heart glad, That I may answer him who reproaches me.

27:12 A prudent man sees the evil, [and] hides himself; [but] the simple pass on, [and] suffer for it.

27:13 Take his garment that is surety for a stranger; And hold him in pledge [who is surety] for a foreign woman.

27:14 He who blesses his fellow man with a loud voice, rising early in the morning, It will be counted a curse to him.

27:15 A continual dropping in a very rainy day And a contentious woman are alike:

27:16 He who would restrain her restrains the wind; And his right hand encounters oil.

27:17 Iron sharpens iron; So a man sharpens the countenance of his fellow man.

27:18 Whoever keeps the fig-tree will eat its fruit; And he who regards his master will be honored.

27:19 As in water face [answers] to face, So the heart of man to man.

27:20 Sheol and Abaddon are never satisfied; And the eyes of man are never satisfied.

27:21 The refining pot is for silver, and the furnace for gold; And a man is [tried] by his praise.

27:22 Though you should bray a fool in a mortar with a pestle along with bruised grain, Yet his foolishness will not depart from him.

27:23 Be diligent to know the state of your flocks, [And] look well to your herds:

27:24 For riches are not forever: And does the crown endure to all generations?

27:25 The hay is carried, and the tender grass shows itself, And the herbs of the mountains are gathered in.

27:26 The lambs are for your clothing, And the goats are the price of the field;

27:27 And [there will be] goats' milk enough for your food, for the food of your household, And maintenance for your maidens.

Proverbs 27:2: "Let another man praise you, and not your own mouth; a stranger, and not your own lips."

When I used to drive cab, we drivers all agreed that whenever a customer felt obliged to say at the beginning of their trip, "I tip well," their tip didn't amount to much.  In other words, their tip was always less than normal. I've heard the same complaint from waiters and waitresses. Soon I began to think, 'Can't we all just let our actions speak louder than our words?'

It's sad, but we all should be suspicious of anyone who feels a need to proclaim his or her own goodness. I sincerely pray--as I hope all my readers here do today--that we will all let our "actions speak louder than our words!" Let others praise us, not ourselves.

After all, it's only good manners.

I once was lost but now I am found.  Was blind and now I see.   What an amazing grace of God that reached me.  A sinner, a lost soul wandering through this dark world.  We just thank you Jesus for saving our souls from sin and evil.   Do not boast yourself of tomorrow. For you do not know what a day may bring forth.  Prov. 27.1  So true.  I am not boasting of tomorrow.  Jesus may come and take me to home to glory.  I am boasting in the Lord Jesus Christ for saving us from all evil and all sin.   Thank You Jesus for being so kind and good to all of us.

Lord Jesus, I am not boasting myself of tomorrow.  My life is in Your hands. You have made me and formed me in the womb of my mother and You alone will take me to glory where I came from.

Help me to look unto Thy holy face and worship you.  JUst as Mary who looked up for you all the time and when He found you.  She just stay there and worship You .  Blessed Jesus, bring more worshipers to the house of God.  That those churches that are dying out may live again and please send revival in our midst so we will welcome Jesus.  Our Conforter and Guide.  In your name. Amen

Children learn from watching us how we act, what we say and what we do. They love to imitate us.  Let us all live in such a way that they will imitate Jesus as they see us what we do and say on our daily routine.  Children are the gift coming from God.  Let us show them the way to heaven.   As a bird that wanders from her nest. So is a man that wanders from his place.  Prov. 27.8  Let us not wander away from Jesus.  He has given us life to be imitators of Him.

Be diligent to know the state of your flocks. And look well to your herds.  Prov. 27. 23  I am praying day and night for all my flock where they went and where they are now.  May Jesus touch the hearts of each one of them.  Specially the young people of my flock to draw closer to the heart of Jesus where they will find true confort and peace in Him.  Blessed Lord.  Bless each one of them as they travel and as they visit friends and relatives.  Make them a true witness for Jesus.  In Your name.  Amen

Longing for Gods word to be hidden in my heart so i will remember to do His will.  The word of God is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. Your own companion and your fathers companion do not forsake.  Prov. 27.10a   Jesus companionship will never ever forsake.  He is the One who give us direction in our lives and will keep our steps in the right path.

Surround your thoughts on eterntity, where God sits upon the throne, waiting for all of us to come home to glory.  Touch the joy of the Lord right here on earth, living and abiding in His holy presence.  Touch memory with hints of His holy presence surrounding your soul.  Flow inward where Gods presence abides.  Let us all hear Gods voice telling us.   My son, be wise and make my heart glad.  Some sweet day .. things will be different if we just hear and obey Gods voice.  No more burdens or trials.  No more wrestling with sin.  No more pain and hurts.  God Himself will confort our hearts and wipe away all our tears.

Free from eternal death and free from sin and shame.  The cross of Jesus is the only place where we can go and give it all to Him.  Let us all say that we are sorry for our sins, for the mistakes that we have done.  He wil carry us through and bring us to a place of plenty and full of peace and joy.  Better is an open rebuke.  Than a love hidden.   We can call on Him in time of trouble.  He will listen all our plea.  He will be there when we need Him most.  Kneel down and close your eyes.   Tell Him that you love Him more than ever before.

Let us all serve the Great King of kings and Lord ofa lords. Let us all follow His guiding light.  Walking in the path that leads to glory.  Speaking the truth and sharing Jesus to others.  True joy comes to our lives serving others just as Jesus did.  Do not boast yourself of tomorrow.   There is no earthly reason to live on earth knowing where we are gona end up when we die.  Boasting of tomorrow is a waste of time and effort.  Only God can give us life and power to continue serving Him.
