Proverbs, Chapter 22

22:1 A [good] name is rather to be chosen than great riches, [And] loving favor rather than silver and gold.

22:2 The rich and the poor meet together: Yahweh is the maker of them all.

22:3 A prudent man sees the evil, and hides himself; But the simple pass on, and suffer for it.

22:4 The reward of humility [and] the fear of Yahweh [is] riches, and honor, and life.

22:5 Thorns [and] snares are in the way of the perverse: He who keeps his soul will be far from them.

22:7 The rich rules over the poor; And the borrower is slave to the lender.

22:8 He who sows iniquity will reap calamity; And the rod of his wrath will fail.

22:9 He who has a bountiful eye will be blessed; For he gives of his bread to the poor.

22:10 Cast out the scoffer, and contention will go out; Yes, strife and ignominy will cease.

22:11 He who loves pureness of heart, [For] the grace of his lips the king will be his companion.

22:12 The eyes of Yahweh preserve [him who has] knowledge; But he overthrows the words of the betrayer.

22:13 The sluggard says, There is a lion outside: I will be slain in the streets.

22:14 The mouth of strange women is a deep pit: He who is abhorred of Yahweh will fall in it.

22:15 Foolishness is bound up in the heart of a child; [but] the rod of correction will drive it far from him.

22:16 He who oppresses the poor to increase his [gain], [And] he who gives to the rich, [will come] only to want.

22:17 Words of the Wise. Incline your ear, and hear the words of the wise, And apply your heart to my knowledge.

22:18 For it is a pleasant thing if you keep them inside you, If they are established together on your lips.

22:19 That your trust may be in Yahweh, I have made [them] known to you this day, even to you.

22:20 Have I not written to you excellent things Of counsels and knowledge,

22:21 To make you know the certainty of the words of truth, That you may carry back words of truth to those who send you?

22:22 Don't rob the poor, because he is poor; Neither oppress the afflicted in the gate:

22:23 For Yahweh will plead their cause, And despoil of life those who despoil them.

22:24 Make no friendship with a man who is given to anger; And with a wrathful man you will not go:

22:25 Or else you will learn his ways, And get a snare to your soul.

22:26 Don't be one of those who strikes hands, [Or] of those who are sureties for debts.

22:27 If you have not with which to pay, Why should he take away your bed from under you?

22:28 Don't remove the ancient landmark, Which your fathers have set.

22:29 Do you see a man diligent in his business? He will stand before kings; He will not stand before mean men.

Instead of looking for earthly treasures and anything from this world, we should start looking of Jesus.  What is His will for my life?  What should I do for others that Jesus would be pleased?    Pleople are so empty inside of them because they failed to seek the right person.  Jesus will solve all your personal problems when you set your heart to seek His face first.  He who loves pureness of heart.  Prov. 22.11a   If your heart is pure and you seek holiness before anything else in this world, God will provide you with what you really  need in your life.

When we are going to die we are going to face judgment.  The outcome of this will result if we are going to enter heaven.  Did we feed the hungry?  Did we clothe the naked and visited the sick and those in prison?  Jesus told us to do so.  The only thing that we are going to take to eternity is the eternal word of God in our hearts and minds and the souls we have won here on earth.  That is what it counts to enter heaven.  A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches.  Prov. 22.1a   I want my name to be written in heavens Book of Life so Jesus will read it aloud that I am ready to enter in.

Thanks and I try to read a proverb everyday.

Pure of heart o God help me to be.  Until one day Thy holy face I see.  Keep me from secret sin.  Reing Thou my soul within.  Pure of heart o God help me to be.   Let Jesus know all the reasons why we are discouraged o lost. Jesus want us to be purer in heart for Him to welcome at the pearly gates of heaven.   That Your trust may be in Yahweh.   Showers of mercy and compassion will fall upon us... when we set our minds on Him alone. Sprinkles of favor wil come our way.

His voice so soft and reassuring came to our ears,  Trust and have faith in Me.  I created you and I will protect you wherever you go and in whatever situation you may be in.  Stand up and spread your wings.  I will sustain you, I will be with you to ends of the earth.  The eyes of Yahweh preserve him who has knowledge.   With trembling arms and believing His Word we shall follow Him all the way to heaven.  His eyes will lead us through the way of eternal life.

It is well with my soul...when I see Him coming in the clouds I shall know that He is coming for me and for you.  Lord haste the day when our faith shall be sight, the clouds be rolled back as scroll, the trumph shall resound and the Lord shall descend, even so, it is well with my soul.  Thou art coming o Lord and we shall meet Thee on the air.  We shall see Thee, we shall know Thee. we shall worship Thee.  Yahweh is the maker of them all.   Yes Lord, Thou has made us to worship, to praise You, to adore Your holy name.   Preserve us o Lord.  Bless us o Lord.  Till we see You coming in the clouds in majesty and great glory.
