Proverbs, Chapter 1

1:1 The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel:

1:2 To know wisdom and instruction; To discern the words of understanding;

1:3 To receive instruction in wise dealing, In righteousness and justice and equity;

1:4 To give prudence to the simple, To the young man knowledge and discretion:

1:5 That the wise man may hear, and increase in learning; And that the man of understanding may attain to sound counsels:

1:6 To understand a proverb, and a figure, The words of the wise, and their dark sayings.

1:7 The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of knowledge; [but] the foolish despise wisdom and instruction.

1:8 My son, hear the instruction of your father, And don't forsake the law of your mother:

1:9 For they will be a chaplet of grace to your head, And chains about your neck.

1:10 My son, if sinners entice you, Do not consent.

1:11 If they say, Come with us, Let us lay in wait for blood; Let us lurk secretly for the innocent without cause;

1:12 Let us swallow them up alive as Sheol, And whole, as those who go down into the pit;

1:13 We will find all precious substance; We will fill our houses with spoil;

1:14 You will cast your lot among us; We will all have one bag:

1:15 My son, don't walk in the way with them; Refrain your foot from their path:

1:17 For in vain is the net spread In the sight of any bird:

1:18 And these lay wait for their own blood; They lurk secretly for their own lives.

1:19 So are the ways of everyone who is greedy of gain; It takes away the life of its owners.

1:20 Wisdom cries aloud in the street; She utters her voice in the broad places;

1:21 She cries in the most noisy places; At the entrance of the gates, In the city, she utters her words:

1:22 How long, you+ simple ones, will you+ love simplicity? And scoffers delight themselves in scoffing, And fools hate knowledge?

1:23 Turn+ at my reproof: Look, I will cause my spirit to gush out on you+ I will make my words known to you+.

1:24 Because I have called, and you+ have refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man has regarded;

1:25 But you+ have set at nothing all my counsel, And would have none of my reproof:

1:26 I also will laugh in [the day of] your+ calamity; I will mock when your+ fear comes;

1:27 When your+ fear comes as a storm, And your+ calamity comes on as a whirlwind; When distress and anguish come upon you+.

1:28 Then they will call on me, but I will not answer; They will seek me diligently, but they will not find me:

1:29 For they hated knowledge, And did not choose the fear of Yahweh:

1:30 They didn't want my counsel; They despised all my reproof.

1:31 Therefore they will eat of the fruit of their own way, And be filled with their own devices.

1:32 For the backsliding of the simple will slay them, And the careless ease of fools will destroy them.

1:33 But whoever harkens to me will stay securely, And will be quiet without fear of evil.

Someone is sick.  Others have lost a loved ones. Many lost their jobs and are broken hearts.  Loneliness has come to them. Pray for them and as you pray for them God will help you overcome your own troubles.

Even when times are hard. God remains faithful to us who have trusted Him.  Sometimes our circumtances may seem meaningless, confusing and threatening.  Giant fears comes along and we may get discouraged.  Fear not.  I am with you.  Jesus said to Peter and He is saying that to us too today. But they will call on Me.  Prov. 1.28a  God will hear all our pleas, all our needs will be met when we are faithful to His word and obey it.

Jesus is coming again. There are signs that prove that the bible is true. May our hearts be open and our minds be ready to receive Him when He comes in the clouds. Yes Jesus..come. Our hearts are open to receive you today. To receive instruction is wise dealing. Proverbs 1.3a Bless our Sunday school teachers, our pastors and our counselors because they instruct us in the Word.

The joy of the Lord is my strenght. I will sing of your love and justice forever. Foy you have been my guide. Prov. 1.8a  My son, hear the instruction of your Father.  Yes Lord, I will hear what You said through your word today and obey it.

Gravity keeps everything in its own place. Fire climbs up while stone goes down. Elements that are not in its own place are restless untlil they find its own place to rest.  The same way apples to our hearts.  Our hearts are restless Oh Lord, until it rests on You. Let not your heart be troubled, believe in God, believe also in Me.  Jesus said.   We do,  we believe In Jesus with all our heart. Proverbs 1.28a  They will call on me and I will not answer.   We pray for siinners today lord Jesus.  Please save their souls and hear their prayer when they are in trouble. Sin separate us from the love of God and we repent from every single evil thing we have dome.  Forgive us Lord Jesus and cleanse our hearts from sin we pray.  Amen

We will find all precious substance.  When we serve God with all our heart then we will find precious substance to lean on and to begin a new life in God.  Please Jesus, open our eyes to see the light at the end of our tunnel.  You are the light of the world and we trust You more than anything in this world.

I want to know wisdom and instruction. Prov. 1.2a In the word of God we find true wisdom and the future of our lives will be better if we just obey it and share with others the treasures God has stored for each one of us.
