Your faithful prayers for your children have been heard, and your desire to cover your home and family with the protection and peace of Christ is good and right before the Lord. It is a holy thing for a mother to plead the blood of Jesus over her household, to ask for His angels to guard your home, and to seek His peace that surpasses all understanding for you and for each of your children.
We join you in praying for that hedge of protection and for the full armor of God to be upon you all, the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God. We ask the Lord to fill your home with His presence, to remove fear and chaos, to rebuke every spiritual attack and influence that is not from Him, and to let your home be a place of light, love, and fellowship for all who enter. We pray that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and that the Lord will guide every step you and your children take at work, at school, and in every activity.
We lift up your son to the Lord with you. As you have prayed, by His stripes we are healed, and we know that great is the power of faith that looks to Christ alone for mercy. Just as Christ said to the woman who came in faith for her daughter, be of good cheer, your faith has made you whole, we pray that the Lord in His mercy would bring healing and restoration to your son. We ask God to grant him calm and peace of mind, to ease his anxiety and sensory distress, to soften rigidity, to heal the wounds of past trauma, and to fill his days with joy, gentleness, and obedience. We pray for his caregivers as well, that the Lord would give them wisdom and patience, and that your son would be a beacon of Christ's light wherever he goes.
We also lift up your younger daughter. We pray for her health, for strength in her body as she deals with exhaustion and with POTS, and for grace in her studies and work. We ask the Lord to surround her with godly friendships that build her up, to grant her wisdom and favor in all she puts her hand to, and to give her clear discernment and courage to say no to any move or commitment that would harm her health, overwhelm her schedule, hinder her responsibilities including the care of what God has entrusted to her, or bring financial hardship. May the Lord give her peace and focus to stand steadfast in what is wise and right.
For your older daughter we pray with special care and truthfulness. We hear your burden for her, and we agree with you that living together outside of marriage is sin and does not honor God. Scripture teaches that marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that sexual intimacy and living together as husband and wife belong only within that covenant. For that reason we cannot ask God to bless that living arrangement, but we do ask Him to work powerfully for her good and for His glory. We pray that the Lord in His loving kindness would draw her to repentance and to a life of purity that honors Him. We ask Him to restore her spiritual clarity, to break every ungodly tie, to remove manipulation and control, and to sever the unhealthy influence of this young man and his family where it is leading her away from Christ, from her family, from her purpose, and from her own well being. We pray that she would see that this man is not her husband and has no right to control her, and that her worth is found in Christ alone. We pray for an unbreakable, loving and respectful bond between you and all your children, and that every plan to bring division, isolation, and chaos into your family would be frustrated.
We also pray for the young man and his mother, not with hatred but with hope. If they do not know Christ, we pray that God would bring them to salvation through Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name by which we are saved. If it is not God's will for this relationship to continue, we pray that He would remove its control completely and restore your daughter to fellowship with her family and with Him. If in His providence He would lead them to repentance and to a holy path, we pray that any future relationship would be pursued only in a way that honors God, with purity and with proper commitment before Him.
We pray for the healing of your whole family from all harm, for the mending of broken relationships in a godly and peaceful manner, and for the restoration of love, patience, respect, and joy among you. With God nothing will be impossible. We trust Him for His perfect will, for His protection, for His provision, and for His power to make all things new in Christ, in whom we are created in righteousness and holiness of truth.
May the Lord keep you and your children in His peace this day, guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, and cause your words to be kind, your thoughts pure, and your actions guided by His Spirit.
