Safety for Young Men
Do Not Sin Against the Child
Your faithful prayers for your children have been heard, and your desire to cover your home and family with the protection and peace of Christ is good and right before the Lord. It is a holy thing for a mother to plead the blood of Jesus over her household, to ask for His angels to guard your home, and to seek His peace that surpasses all understanding for you and for each of your children.

We join you in praying for that hedge of protection and for the full armor of God to be upon you all, the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God. We ask the Lord to fill your home with His presence, to remove fear and chaos, to rebuke every spiritual attack and influence that is not from Him, and to let your home be a place of light, love, and fellowship for all who enter. We pray that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and that the Lord will guide every step you and your children take at work, at school, and in every activity.

We lift up your son to the Lord with you. As you have prayed, by His stripes we are healed, and we know that great is the power of faith that looks to Christ alone for mercy. Just as Christ said to the woman who came in faith for her daughter, be of good cheer, your faith has made you whole, we pray that the Lord in His mercy would bring healing and restoration to your son. We ask God to grant him calm and peace of mind, to ease his anxiety and sensory distress, to soften rigidity, to heal the wounds of past trauma, and to fill his days with joy, gentleness, and obedience. We pray for his caregivers as well, that the Lord would give them wisdom and patience, and that your son would be a beacon of Christ's light wherever he goes.

We also lift up your younger daughter. We pray for her health, for strength in her body as she deals with exhaustion and with POTS, and for grace in her studies and work. We ask the Lord to surround her with godly friendships that build her up, to grant her wisdom and favor in all she puts her hand to, and to give her clear discernment and courage to say no to any move or commitment that would harm her health, overwhelm her schedule, hinder her responsibilities including the care of what God has entrusted to her, or bring financial hardship. May the Lord give her peace and focus to stand steadfast in what is wise and right.

For your older daughter we pray with special care and truthfulness. We hear your burden for her, and we agree with you that living together outside of marriage is sin and does not honor God. Scripture teaches that marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that sexual intimacy and living together as husband and wife belong only within that covenant. For that reason we cannot ask God to bless that living arrangement, but we do ask Him to work powerfully for her good and for His glory. We pray that the Lord in His loving kindness would draw her to repentance and to a life of purity that honors Him. We ask Him to restore her spiritual clarity, to break every ungodly tie, to remove manipulation and control, and to sever the unhealthy influence of this young man and his family where it is leading her away from Christ, from her family, from her purpose, and from her own well being. We pray that she would see that this man is not her husband and has no right to control her, and that her worth is found in Christ alone. We pray for an unbreakable, loving and respectful bond between you and all your children, and that every plan to bring division, isolation, and chaos into your family would be frustrated.

We also pray for the young man and his mother, not with hatred but with hope. If they do not know Christ, we pray that God would bring them to salvation through Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name by which we are saved. If it is not God's will for this relationship to continue, we pray that He would remove its control completely and restore your daughter to fellowship with her family and with Him. If in His providence He would lead them to repentance and to a holy path, we pray that any future relationship would be pursued only in a way that honors God, with purity and with proper commitment before Him.

We pray for the healing of your whole family from all harm, for the mending of broken relationships in a godly and peaceful manner, and for the restoration of love, patience, respect, and joy among you. With God nothing will be impossible. We trust Him for His perfect will, for His protection, for His provision, and for His power to make all things new in Christ, in whom we are created in righteousness and holiness of truth.

May the Lord keep you and your children in His peace this day, guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, and cause your words to be kind, your thoughts pure, and your actions guided by His Spirit.

Your faithful and persistent prayers for your children are heard by the Lord, and your desire to see your home covered by His protection and peace honors Him. It is right to plead the blood of Jesus over your family, to ask for His angels to guard your home, and to clothe yourselves in the full armor of God, the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God. Scripture promises that no weapon formed against those who belong to Him will prosper, and that His peace which surpasses all understanding can guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

God has always shown Himself as the One who calls His people back to family and promises to be with them there. When He called Jacob to return to the land of his fathers and to his family, He added the promise, I will be with you. That same promise is for you as you contend for unity in your home. He is with you as you pray for an unbreakable, loving and respectful bond between you and your children, and He is able to frustrate every plan and scheme that seeks to bring division, isolation and chaos.

Part of guarding a family is recognizing the cost of lingering in a corrupt environment. The story of Lot shows that even a man who knew righteousness suffered great loss to his family and to the morals of his children when he chose to live in the midst of great wickedness. For that reason it is loving and necessary to name sin clearly and to seek separation from influences that corrupt. Marriage as God designed it is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and sexual union and living together belong only within that covenant. Living together outside of marriage is not marriage, it does not carry the rights or responsibilities of marriage, and Scripture calls us to purity and to flee sexual immorality. It is right that you pray for your older daughter to see this truth, to find her worth in Christ alone rather than in the approval of a young man or his family, and to be given courage to make choices that honor the Lord. We do not ask God to bless a relationship that is outside His design. Instead we pray that He will bring loving conviction that leads to repentance, that He will break every ungodly tie and restore spiritual clarity, that He will block manipulation and control, and that if it is not His will for that relationship to continue, He will sever its influence completely. We also pray as you have, that if it be His will, even those who have caused hurt would come to salvation through Jesus Christ alone, for with God nothing will be impossible.

The Lord also reveals Himself as our kinsman redeemer, the One who covers us as family. In the story of Ruth, the redeemer spread his covering over her because he had the right and the responsibility to protect and provide for the family. How much more does Jesus, our true Redeemer, cover your family with His protection and grace when you look to Him.

You have asked for healing for your son, and for relief from autism, anxiety, sensory challenges and the memories of trauma, and for your daughter who struggles with exhaustion and health needs. The Gospels show us that Jesus heals in many ways, sometimes with a touch, sometimes with a word, sometimes from a distance. A father came to Jesus when his little daughter was at the point of death, believing that if Jesus would only lay His hand on her she would be healed. A Gentile mother fell at His feet begging for her young daughter who was tormented by an unclean spirit, and Jesus delivered her daughter with a word. To the woman who had suffered for years and touched Him in faith, He said her faith had made her well and she could go in peace. These accounts remind us that healing is in His hands, that He responds to faith, and that we can bring our children to Him confidently, trusting that by His stripes we are healed while resting in His wisdom and timing for how that healing unfolds.

So we pray with you now. Father, in the name of Jesus, we thank You for this mother and her children. Cover this home, every room and every heart, with Your holy protection. Let Your peace fill this family. Guard their minds from fear and confusion and let Your anointing guide every step. We ask for healing in body, mind and spirit for this son, for calmness, gentleness and rest, for freedom from distress and for joy in his daily care. We ask for strength and health for the younger daughter, for wisdom in her studies, for godly friendships, for favor in her work and for clear discernment to say no to any path that would harm her health, overwhelm her schedule or bring financial hardship. Give her and her sister courage to stand steadfast. For the older daughter, grant spiritual clarity, a hunger for purity, gratitude for the family You have given her, and protection over her job, finances and faith. Remove manipulative and deceptive influences and restore love, patience, respect and joy within this family. Let this home be a place where Your light is seen, where words are kind, thoughts are pure and actions are guided by Your Spirit. Expose and frustrate every divisive plan, and let every dark influence lose its power and flee. We trust You for restoration, for breakthrough and for the work only You can do, and we ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus, our only hope of salvation.

We thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and we are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer for protection over you and your children and your home.

We have continued to lift you and your family before the Lord and to plead the precious blood of Jesus over your minds, hearts, bodies and spirits. We have been praying that the Lord would station His angels around every door and window and room of your home and around your yard and vehicles, as you asked, and that His hedge of protection and His full armor according to Ephesians 6:11 would shield you all from every spiritual attack, and that no weapon formed against you shall prosper according to Isaiah 54:17.

We have also continued to pray for the peace that surpasses all understanding according to Philippians 4:7 to fill you and your children, for your younger daughter who was exhausted after her classes, for healing and strength for her health and for POTS and for her studies and career and for Godly friendships and wisdom to stand firm against any pressure to make a move that would harm her health and overwhelm her, and for your older daughter for deliverance from the ungodly influence and control of this young man and his mother and for restoration of her grateful heart, her faith, her purity and her unbreakable bond with you and her siblings, and that the Lord would frustrate every plan and scheme to cause division and chaos in your family. We have been praying daily for your son for miraculous healing and restoration by His stripes according to Isaiah 53:5, for freedom from autism, PTSD, anxiety and sensory challenges, for calmness and obedience and joy with his caregiver, and for his peace of mind to be swiftly restored, and for your home to be a beacon of His light and filled with laughter and fellowship and for nothing to be impossible with God according to Luke 1:37.

We count it an honor to continue to stand with you for complete restoration and for the breaking of every ungodly tie and for the peace and joy of the Holy Spirit to overflow in your family.

If your request was answered and you have seen the Lord move in protection and healing and restoration for your children and your home, please post a praise report and let us all know so we may rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered yet, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer.

We pray that the Lord will continue to guard your paths and keep you safe from harm and confusion and that His anointing will rest upon you and guide every step.

May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ.

We pray this in Jesus Name.
