Your prayer reflects a deep love for your children and a sincere desire to see your home covered by the Lord's peace and protection, and it has been brought before the Lord with care.

The desire you express for safety, for peace that passes understanding, and for restored relationships points to a deeper truth that Scripture makes clear. Our relationship with God is primary and it is the center upon which everything else turns. The first commands God gave concern our walk with Him, and only when that vertical relationship is right can our relationships with one another come into proper balance. When our hearts are right with Him, He brings order to our homes, our decisions, and our affections. When that center is out of order, every other relationship begins to wobble. Many family struggles can be traced back to that one question of whether we are walking closely and obediently with Him.

That is why the Lord does not want a distant, ritual or merely legal connection with you. He invites you into a close, loving relationship as a Father with His children. Through Jesus Christ you have been adopted into His family, born again by His Spirit, so that you can come to Him as Father. He wants you to know how much He loves you and to love Him in return with your whole heart, not with a half hearted or lukewarm devotion. He asks for all of your heart because He knows that a divided heart leaves us vulnerable and unsettled.

In that light, your concerns for your home and children are best placed first in seeking Him. As you seek Him daily in prayer and in His Word, trusting Jesus alone for salvation and following Him in obedience, He will be your protection. His promise remains that no weapon formed against those who are His will finally prosper, and He clothes His people with the full armor of truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation and His Word, and He commands His angels to guard His own. This is not a charm to be spoken, but the confident covering of those who belong to Him and walk with Him.

For your son, your prayers for healing, calm, and joy are heard. Scripture says by His wounds we are healed, and with God nothing will be impossible. Continue to bring his needs before the Lord, his mind, body and spirit, asking for peace to replace anxiety and fear, for gentleness and calm to replace distress, and for wisdom for those who care for him, that they would be patient and dedicated to bring out the best in him. The Lord is merciful and He sees the particular challenges of autism, trauma, anxiety and sensory struggles, and He is able to give daily grace and breakthrough in His perfect way and timing.

For your family as a whole, God places great importance on the honor and love between parents and children. That bond is meant to be a place of respect, gratitude and unity, and when it is broken it brings pain to everyone. Scripture shows us that when homes are built on wrong foundations, jealousy, rivalry and division quickly follow, and living in a polluted moral environment will always leave its mark on a family. Your home can be a beacon of His light as each of you chooses to walk in love, to speak with kindness, and to keep your thoughts and actions guided by His Spirit.

Concerning your older daughter, your discernment is right and it is loving to tell the truth. Living together outside of marriage is not marriage in God's eyes. It does not create the covenant of one man and one woman for life that God ordained, and it does not give a boyfriend the rights or authority of a husband. Scripture calls us to purity and to honor God with our bodies, and to save the intimacy and commitment of marriage for marriage itself. A relationship marked by disrespect, mocking, dishonesty, manipulation, jealousy and control is not reflecting Christlike love, and it will erode character, faith, family unity and peace. It is right to pray not that God would bless that arrangement, but that He would bring clarity, conviction and repentance, that He would break every ungodly tie and controlling influence, and that He would restore her spiritual sight, her independence in Christ, her gratitude for family, and her desire for what is holy. Pray that she will see her worth in Christ alone, that she will have courage to make godly choices that honor the Lord before any person, and that any influence from this young man and his mother that seeks to divide or to replace your God given role as her mother would lose its hold. If it is not the Lord's will for them to be together, pray that the Lord would remove that control completely and give her a hunger for home and for wholeness. If they are to be saved, pray that even they would come to salvation through Jesus Christ alone, but do not pray for the continuation of what Scripture calls sin. And as you pray for a future spouse for her, pray for a man who loves Jesus, who respects you and your family, who will provide and lead with kindness and who will honor the covenant of marriage as God designed it.

For your younger daughter, thank God for the respectful and kind young man you have seen in her life, and continue to pray that their courtship would remain pure and honoring to the Lord. Pray that the Lord would surround her with godly friendships, guard her studies and health, and give her strength to stand firm against any jealous or demeaning influence that would try to pull her onto a dark path. Encourage her to keep clear boundaries that honor Christ, so that what is good now remains good.

For yourself, keep seeking that intimate fellowship with Jesus. Let your own walk with Him be the anchor. As your relationship with Him grows deeper and more loving, you will find wisdom for each decision, strength to reject fear and chaos, and grace to love your children without manipulation, leaving the outcome in His hands while you remain faithful in prayer.

Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, we come through Jesus Christ alone and thank You that we can call You Father. We ask You to draw each member of this family into a wholehearted, loving relationship with You. Forgive sin and cleanse every heart, and lead this home in purity and truth. Cover this mother and her children with Your protection, clothe them with Your armor, and let Your peace that passes understanding guard their hearts and minds. Bring healing and calm to this son, remove fear and distress, and fill him with Your joy and satisfaction. Give wisdom and tenderness to his caregivers. Restore the bond between this mother and her children with respect and unbreakable love. Open the eyes of the older daughter to see clearly the nature of living outside of marriage and of a controlling relationship, break every ungodly influence over her, and draw her to repentance and to a life that honors You. Protect her job, finances, faith and friendships, and in Your time provide a godly husband if it is Your will. Guard the younger daughter and her courtship in purity, bless her health and studies, and keep her strong in You. Frustrate every plan that seeks to bring division, isolation and chaos into this family, and let every deceptive influence flee. Make this home a place of love, harmony and light for all who enter. We trust You, for nothing is impossible with You. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
