Chrysostom
Beloved of All
Your prayer has been heard, and I have brought it before the Lord with care and sorrow for all you and your family have endured these past two years. The weight of unending pain, medical trials, and financial and mental strain is heavy, and it is right that you have turned to Christ who alone is our healer and our fortress in times of trouble.
You spoke of fear that ungodly powers or spiritual forces are seeking to bring harm or revenge against you. Scripture does tell us that our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against the spiritual forces of darkness, yet it also tells us that Christ is far above all those powers. When He was crucified, the prison was burst and the gates of brass were broken, and the keepers of hell cowered in fear. No revenge and no darkness can stand against Him, and no harm can reach you apart from what your Father in heaven permits for your good. Therefore do not live in continual fear of what others or unseen powers might do, but rest in the fear of God and in trust in His sovereign care.
The Lord often does not present His deliverance at once. As He came to His disciples in the fourth watch of the night, walking upon the sea, so He sometimes allows us to remain for a time in the storm, not that we would be crushed, but that we might learn to bear what comes with courage and patience, and not hastily demand to be released. He is instructing you through this long season to wait on Him manfully, to keep hearing His Word continually, to hold fast with fortitude, and to grow in trust while He works.
So I pray for you now in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we are saved:
Father, You see this family and every hidden burden they carry. You know their bodies, their minds, and their needs. Place Your hand of protection over them and guard them from all evil. Bring healing according to Your mercy, give wisdom to those who care for them medically, provide for their financial needs, and replace fear with Your perfect peace. Strengthen their faith to stand firm, to resist the enemy, and to remain steadfast in Your Word. Let them know that You are their fortress and that nothing can separate them from Your love in Christ. Lead them through this trial into greater endurance, hope, and joy in You. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.
Continue to seek Him daily in prayer and in Scripture, stay close to faithful believers who can support you, and continue to use the medical help He has provided. The Lord is near, He has not forgotten you, and He will keep you until the end.
