Beloved of All
We have heard your prayer lifted with tears and urgency, and we join you before the Lord Jesus Christ with thanksgiving for His mercy and power. We stand with you in asking for His covering over your home, your heart, and your children, trusting that He alone is our refuge and that salvation and protection come through Him alone.
We pray with you for protection over your household tonight. May the Lord guard every door and room and grant to you and your children rest that comes from His peace that passes all understanding. We ask Him to keep your home filled with His light, to drive out fear and confusion, and to surround you with His presence so that your hearts and minds are guarded in Christ.
We lift up your son before the Lord. We ask Jesus to calm his thoughts and emotions, to bring gentleness and peace to his heart, and to help him grow in using clear and functional language to express his needs and feelings. We pray for His healing and grace upon every need you named, including autism, trauma, anxiety and frustration, and for freedom from torment and fear. May the Lord grant him comfort, joy, and restful sleep under the shadow of His wings, and bless his daily activities and meals with peace and contentment.
We lift up your younger daughter and ask the Lord to strengthen her body, guard her mind, and bless her health, her studies and her future work with His favor. We pray He will surround her with godly friendships and, in His perfect timing, a godly husband within the lifelong covenant of marriage between one man and one woman as He has ordained. We ask Him to comfort her in the hurt she feels over the distance growing between her and her sister, and to grant her peaceful sleep and confidence in His love.
We lift up your older daughter with deep care and we agree with you in prayer for her deliverance and restoration. Scripture teaches that marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that living together and sharing the privileges of marriage outside of that covenant is not God's good design. For that reason we do not ask God to bless that living arrangement, but we do ask Him with urgency to open her eyes to truth, to break every unhealthy and ungodly tie that binds her, and to give her courage and clarity to step out of what you rightly describe as a toxic bondage that has brought exhaustion, isolation and loss of self worth. We pray that any manipulation, control, division and confusion influencing her would be frustrated and lose its hold, and that she would be freed from feelings of obligation or worthlessness. We pray the Lord would restore her wisdom, her love for her family, her sense of worth in Christ, and her desire for home, peace and righteousness, and that He would in His time lead her to a godly marriage if it is His will, rather than a counterfeit of it. We also pray for the young man and his mother, that God would bring conviction, truth and repentance where needed, and that any schemes to cause division or to use your daughter would come to nothing, so that your daughter may be released to make wise and godly decisions.
We pray for you in this difficult season, that the Lord would fill you with wisdom, grace, strength and courage. As you have seen, true kinship in Christ is not only of blood but of the Spirit and of character formed in Him, and we pray God would restore the bonds of love, respect and unity in your family, rooted in His grace. We ask Him to heal broken relationships in a trusting and godly manner, to restore joy in your gatherings, and to provide for your finances so you may continue to help others. We declare with you that no weapon formed against those who belong to Christ shall finally prosper, for Christ as the faithful Son over His own house keeps His people, and He has given us adoption as sons and daughters through His blood.
May the Lord grant you all a peaceful night and a joyful year together, with love, unity and laughter restored, and may your faith, like the woman who persisted for her daughter, be met with His gracious answer according to His perfect will. We trust Him with you for protection, breakthrough and unexpected mercies. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ we pray. Amen.
