Protection

Your prayer for your family has been heard and we join with you in bringing these burdens before the Lord Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to the Father and salvation.

We thank God with you for the gift of each new day and for His mercy that watches over your home and your children. We pray that the Lord will cover your household with His peace, the peace that surpasses all understanding, and guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. We ask that He will keep you and your children from harm, from fear and confusion, and from every spiritual attack, and that He will give you wisdom to walk in His ways and to make choices that honor Him. We ask for His protection over every part of your home and for His grace to fill your words and actions with kindness, purity and love.

We lift up your son to the Lord. We know that healing belongs to God and that Christ suffered for us so that we might be made whole. We pray with you for his healing and restoration, for calmness and gentleness and joy in his daily life, and for grace and patience for his caregiver. We pray that faith in Christ will grow in him and in you, for the Lord honors a trusting heart and draws near to those who look to Him in faith.

We pray also for the bond between you and your children. Scripture teaches that our truest family relationship is not only of blood but of the Spirit, when we walk in obedience and love toward God and toward one another. As Christ is the Son over His own house, so we become members of His house when we hold fast to Him and live as children of God in character, showing gentleness, patience and respect. We pray that God will strengthen such a godly, loving and respectful bond among you, and mend what has been broken in a way that is peaceful and pleasing to Him.

We pray especially for your older daughter. You have spoken rightly that living together outside of marriage is not marriage and does not carry the covenant, rights or responsibilities of marriage. God has given marriage as a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and He has reserved sexual union and living together as husband and wife for within that covenant. For this reason we cannot ask God to bless a cohabiting relationship as if it were marriage, but we do pray for your daughter with love and concern. We pray that the Lord will give her spiritual clarity, wisdom and courage to see His truth, to value her worth in Christ alone, and to make godly choices that honor Him, her family, her health and her future. We pray that every ungodly tie and controlling influence will be broken, that she will not follow a path of rebellion or manipulation, and that she will be freed from any pressure to obey or idolize a man who is not her husband. We pray that the young man will act responsibly and step back, and that if he is not ready for marriage, there will be a swift and peaceful separation so that both may seek the Lord and pursue purity. We pray also concerning his mother, that boundaries will be respected and that your daughter will look to her own family who loves her and has raised her in the ways of the Lord, rather than to ungodly guidance.

We lift up your younger daughter as she begins her orientation for school. We pray that God will grant her health, focus and success in her studies and work, surround her with godly friendships, and guard her from jealousy, negativity and confusion. We pray the same for your older daughter in her workplace, that God will give her favor, integrity and gratitude, and protect her job and finances as she walks in His will.

We join you in rebuking what is evil and clinging to what is good, asking the Lord to frustrate every plan that would bring division, isolation and chaos into your family, and to fill your home with His light, love, fellowship and joy. May your home be a place where Christ is honored, where forgiveness and respect abound, and where each person grows in faith.

Continue to bring all these things to the Lord in prayer, trusting not in our own strength but in the love of God shown in giving His Son for us when we were still sinners. He who did not spare His own Son will surely care for those who are now His friends through faith. Hold fast to Christ, encourage one another daily, and seek to be perfect as your Father in heaven is perfect, showing love even to those who wrong you. The Lord is able to restore, to heal and to lead you into all that is good for your family according to His will.

We pray that this year will be marked for you and your children by growth in Christ, by peace and togetherness, and by clear steps of obedience to Him. May the Lord guide every step, guard every moment, and let everything you do reflect His light and love. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord we pray. Amen.

Your prayer reflects a heart that wants to honor the Lord and see your home and your children kept under His care, and that desire is pleasing to God. He hears the cries of a parent who brings her children before Him day after day.

Scripture teaches that your relationship with God is the center upon which everything else turns. When that vertical relationship is right through faith in Jesus Christ alone, the other relationships in life can be brought into right order. There is only one begotten Son of God, Jesus Christ, and it is only through Him that we are adopted into the family of God and become His children. That adoption is the foundation for every other blessing, including peace, protection and unity in the home.

The Lord sees affliction and hears prayer. As He saw and heard in the days of Jacob and his family, and as He remembered and opened what was closed, so He sees you and your children now. He knows how to guide His people as He guided Jacob, and how to be with them when He calls them to walk in His way. He also knows how to deliver the righteous even when they are surrounded by a polluted and corrupting influence, as He delivered Lot who was vexed by the life around him. It is hard to live in the midst of ungodly pressures and not be touched by them, and that is why Scripture warns so clearly about the power of ungodly influences, even the influence of a mother or family that draws a young person away from what is right.

I join you in asking the Lord to cover your home, your minds, hearts, bodies and spirits with His holy protection. May He station His angels around your dwelling, guard every room and every step you and your children take, and clothe you in the full armor He has provided so you can stand against spiritual attack, fear, jealousy, manipulation and confusion. I pray He will fill you and your children with the peace that surpasses all understanding and let that peace guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. No weapon formed against you shall prosper when you are abiding in Him, and His anointing can guide every step and bring favor and clarity to your work without being overworked or exhausted, so that you may be lights for Him wherever you go.

For your son, I pray for the Lord's mercy, healing and restoration according to His perfect will. By the stripes of Jesus we have hope for healing, and we can boldly ask for a calm, gentle, joyful and obedient day for him with his caregiver, for his mind to be renewed and his spirit to be at rest, and for his surroundings to be filled with protection and love. At the same time Scripture shows that God does not grant physical healing in the same way or timing in every case, as even faithful servants like Timothy knew ongoing weakness, so we trust the Lord's wisdom and love while we keep asking Him to work a miracle of peace and wholeness and to make your son a reflection of His light.

For your younger daughter as she begins orientation for school, I pray the Lord will grant her health, focus, courage and success in her studies and work, surround her with godly friendships that build her up, and protect her from jealousy, negativity and confusion. May she grow in thankfulness for the home God has provided and in strength to walk in His purposes.

For your older daughter, I pray with you for restored clarity, wisdom and an unbreakable godly bond between you, her brother and her sister. Scripture is clear that marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that living together and sexual intimacy belong only within that covenant. Living together outside of marriage is not marriage and does not create the rights or authority of marriage, and it cannot give a young man the place of a husband to direct, control or demand obedience. I do not ask God to bless what is outside His design, but I do pray that every ungodly tie would be broken, that deception and manipulation would lose power, and that your daughter would find her worth in Christ alone and have courage to make choices that honor Him above any person. I pray that the influence of this young man and the overreaching influence of his mother would be exposed and frustrated, that their plans to bring division and chaos into your family would come to nothing, and that your daughter would no longer idolize or imitate rebellious behavior but would walk in wisdom, gratitude and respect for the family God has given her. I also pray, as you have asked, that if it is the Lord's will this young man would return to his own home, since he is not ready for the responsibilities of marriage, and that your family would be guarded from further division.

For your whole household, I pray that God would make your home a place of light, where words are kind, thoughts are pure, and actions are guided by His Spirit, filled with laughter, fellowship and love. May He frustrate every scheme meant to isolate or divide you, restore what has been broken in a peaceful and respectful and godly manner, and pour out His Holy Spirit in overflow so that your hearts are united in love, patience and understanding.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I bring this mother and her children before You. Cover them with Your hand, let Your peace rule in their home, heal and calm where there is hurt and unrest, grant wisdom and discernment to each child, break what is not of You, and establish what honors You. Let this family know more deeply how much You love them and learn to love You in return, for that loving relationship is what You desire above a merely legal one. Bring breakthrough, protection and blessing in Your way and Your time, and let their lives bear witness to Your grace. Amen.

We thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and we are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer for protection over you and your children.

We have continued to lift up your home before the Lord, that the precious blood of Jesus Christ would cover your minds, hearts, bodies and spirits, and that His angels would stand guard around every door, every window, every room and the yard of your home as you asked. We have been praying for His peace that surpasses all understanding to fill you and your children according to Phil 4:7, for the hedge of protection and full armor of God over you all according to Eph 6:11, and that no weapon formed against you, your daughters or your son shall prosper according to Isa 54:17.

We have also continued to agree with you for your son, for miraculous healing and restoration by His stripes, for calmness and gentleness in his spirit, for the removal of spiritual attacks, PTSD memories, rigidity and negative habits, and for a peaceful and joyful day with his caregiver. We have prayed for your children at work, that they would be blessed, protected, filled with the Holy Spirit, work efficiently without exhaustion, and be a beacon of His light. We have lifted up your younger daughter for her school orientation, for Godly friendships, favor in her studies, health and career, and protection from jealous and negative influences. And we have earnestly prayed for your older daughter, for the breaking of every ungodly tie with the young man and his mother, for the frustration of every plan to cause division and chaos in your family, for restoration of a Godly unbreakable loving and respectful bond between you and your children, and for wisdom and clarity for her to walk in the Lord's will and find her worth in Christ.

If your request was answered and you have seen His hand in protection, in peace in your home, in healing and calm for your son, or in guidance and favor for your daughters, please post a praise report and let us all know so we may rejoice and thank God with you.

If your request does not seem to have been answered yet, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We want to keep standing with you until you see breakthrough.

We continue to pray that the Lord will keep His hand upon you and your family, saturate your home with His presence, let your words be kind and your actions guided by His Spirit, and make your home a beacon of His light. We ask the Father to frustrate every scheme of the enemy and to fill you all with love, joy, unity and the overflow of the Holy Spirit.

May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. In Jesus Name we pray, Amen.
