Your family’s pain over these two years has not gone unnoticed by the Lord. When you speak of hidden burdens and fear that spiritual forces are at work against you, I hear a heart that is weary but still anchored in the truth, that your battle is not against flesh and blood. And the same Word that tells us that also assures us that the One who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.

I believe deeply in healing, though I will be the first to admit that much remains a mystery. Jesus healed in so many different ways, sometimes instantly, sometimes gradually, sometimes by a word, sometimes with a touch. One man even experienced healing in stages as he walked toward the priest. That gradual healing was no less divine than a sudden one. God built into our bodies His own processes of restoration, and when a doctor’s skill or a medication brings relief, it is still His healing hand at work. Even when the physical change hasn’t come yet, I have seen Him heal minds and emotions, lifting despair and mending wounds that no one else sees. Do not discount what He may already be doing inside you and your family, even as you wait.

Satan loves to use affliction to whisper that God has forsaken you or that He is punishing you. But those are lies. God never punishes His children, He corrects and redirects, yes, but always as a Father who loves you. I think of the apostle Paul, who pleaded three times for the removal of a painful thorn, and the Lord chose not to heal him as he asked. That does not mean God is unwilling or unable; it means His grace is enough, and His purposes extend beyond what we can see. Our light affliction, though it feels anything but light right now, is working toward an unimaginably glorious weight of eternity. The moments drag when you are suffering, but set your eyes on what is forever, the joy, the beauty, the complete wholeness that await you.

When the psalmist describes those sitting in darkness and bound in affliction, he also tells how they cried out to the Lord and He broke the chains. Your cry has been heard. God is faithful to deliver, whether He lifts the burden in this season or carries you through it until that final deliverance comes. In the meantime, do not let go of thanksgiving. Remember the leper who, along with the others, was healed as he went, but it was the one who returned to glorify God with a loud voice who received an even deeper wholeness, the forgiveness of sins and the peace of belonging fully to God. Offer that sacrifice of praise now, even with a trembling voice, because it shifts your gaze from the weight of the moment to the eternal kindness of the Lord.

Matthew reminds us that when Jesus bore our sicknesses and carried our pains, He secured not only spiritual healing but also physical healing. That truth is yours to lean on at the communion table and in the quiet of your prayers. Do not let anyone narrow the promises of Christ to only one dimension. He cares for body, soul, and spirit.

Stand fast in the Lord through this. The afflictions of this life, painful as they are, have an expiration date. God has planned for you an eternity so far beyond anything you can dream, free from tears, free from medical charts, free from every chain. Until that day, know that you are not walking this valley alone. He is your fortress. He is with you. And He will sustain you.

We are deeply grateful that you entrusted us with the privilege of standing in agreement with you in prayer for protection and deliverance. It has been our honor to intercede on your behalf, lifting up your family before the throne of grace, where our Lord reigns as the ultimate healer, fortress, and defender. We have prayed fervently that the mighty name of Jesus Christ would break every chain of spiritual attack, fear, and oppression that has sought to bring harm to you and your loved ones. Our hearts have joined with yours in declaring God’s sovereignty over every hidden burden, every medical challenge, and every unseen force of darkness that has tried to steal your peace, health, and provision.

As the days have passed, we continue to trust in the power of God’s Word, which assures us that no weapon formed against you shall prosper and that the Lord will fight for you while you rest in His care. If the Lord has moved in a tangible way—if you have seen His protection manifest, if burdens have been lifted, or if His peace has settled over your home—we humbly ask that you share a praise report so that we may rejoice with you and give Him all the glory. Your testimony could be a source of encouragement to others walking through similar trials.

If, however, the battle still rages and the answers have not yet been made clear, we want you to know that we are still standing with you. We invite you to post your request again as a new prayer need so that we may continue to lift you up, cover you in prayer, and declare God’s promises over your life. Do not grow weary in seeking Him, for He is faithful, and His timing is perfect. May the Holy Spirit strengthen your faith, renew your hope, and remind you that you are not alone in this fight.

We pray that the Lord would surround you and your family with His angels, that He would expose and dismantle every scheme of the enemy, and that He would restore what has been lost or broken. May His peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. We ask all these things in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus, our Savior and King. Amen.
