The Lord who is strong and mighty in battle, who ascended on high and led captivity captive, hears your cry for protection and breakthrough. He came to preach deliverance to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, and He is able to break every chain that holds you and all in need. Yet do not imagine it enough to be freed only from a snare. When you ask for the dysfunctional relationship to cease, you are seeking deliverance from a worldly entanglement, but true freedom demands more: you must cultivate fortitude, a careful hearing of the word, and a thorough renunciation of all that binds you to this present age. Without this fullness, the soul remains vulnerable. For if love is absent, even faith, knowledge, prophecy, healing, and a spotless life are of no advantage. Love alone is the invincible weapon, the impregnable tower that easily beats off every assault. Love is strong as death; it turns the timid into the courageous and expels all impurity, for wanton behavior springs from nothing but a famine of love. Pray, then, for the love that God supplies, not the counterfeit that makes men soft and unmanly, but the love poured into our hearts by the Spirit of adoption, through whom we become sons.

You seek a powerful anointing upon your church and conviction to pray more. This is a godly desire. Do not be discouraged if you have often heard the word and remained insensible; the tree that withstands ten blows may fall at the eleventh, yet the earlier strokes were not wasted. The fruit will come in time, for such an eager longing to hear cannot fail of its effect. Beware of dullness born of sin and affliction, and instead remember that we are fools for Christ’s sake, weak in the world’s eyes but truly strong in Him. Let your prayers be anchored not in obtaining a comfortable deliverance for this life only, but in the hope of a better resurrection. He who has given us the firstfruits of the Spirit will complete the work, bringing healing, salvation, and restoration as you press forward. Hold fast to these things, and you shall obtain the eternal blessings.

I see that you are crying out for protection, breakthrough, and healing on many fronts, for yourself, for those you named, for a relationship that has become dysfunctional, and for a fresh move of God in your church and your work. Beneath all these requests is a longing for God to act powerfully and to set things right. That is a good desire, and it leads straight to the one thing that anchors everything else: your own living, loving relationship with God.

So often we try to fix what is broken in our horizontal relationships, the struggles with others, the tangled bond you want to see end, the pressures at work, by focusing all our energy on those very things. But the truth is that when your center is off, every other relationship reflects that imbalance. If your connection with God is out of alignment, then your connections with people, with circumstances, and even with your own desires will keep drifting into dysfunction. The vertical axis must be set right first. When your relationship with the Lord becomes intimate and secure, the other areas have a way of falling into place, not because you strive harder, but because He reshapes your heart.

You mentioned a relationship that needs to stop. Often, the deep struggle in such a bond is not just the outward actions but an inward desire that holds us captive. Many of us grow up assuming that only the act itself is sin, while the strong desire is harmless, just a part of who we are. But God’s law cuts deeper. It says, “Thou shalt not covet.” That command exposes the desire itself as something that needs His healing. Until we let the Spirit show us that the very craving is out of step with God’s will, we remain stuck, trying to manage something that only a new affection can displace. And that new affection is found in a loving relationship with God, not a legal one.

God does not want you to relate to Him through a set of rules and rituals, white-knuckling your way to obedience. He invites you into a personal, tender fellowship where you know you are loved, forgiven, and accepted through faith in Jesus. In that place, you find that you no longer want many things you once chased, not because a sign says “Don’t touch,” but because your heart does not want to grieve the One who loves you. This is the kind of relationship that brings true deliverance, not just a temporary break, but a lasting transformation. So when you pray for protection and breakthrough, begin by asking God to deepen that bond of love until it becomes the strongest desire of your life.

The same holds for the anointing you seek for your church and the conviction to pray more. Real spiritual power does not come from programs or even from duty-driven prayer. It flows from a church that has come back to her first love, a people who know God, not just know about Him. When a congregation turns from a ritualistic, routine relationship and pursues an intimate, daily walk with Jesus, prayer stops being a chore and becomes fellowship. That is where boldness and breakthroughs are born.

As for encouragement and strength, hear what God speaks over you again and again: Be strong and of good courage. Do not be afraid. Do not be dismayed. The Lord Himself is with you, and He will do the work. You may feel that the situation is too big, that deliverance is taking too long, or that you are not able. But His strength is made perfect in your weakness. The same voice that commanded Joshua is speaking to you today. It is not your ability that will bring the healing and restoration you seek, but His presence. Wait on Him. Even when it feels like nothing is happening, trust that He is working.

So I encourage you: do not let this season push you into a frantic attempt to fix everything on your own. Instead, let it drive you back to the vertical. Seek the Lord early, not as a stranger but as your God. As that relationship becomes the true center, you will find that protection surrounds you, His help meets you at work, and His restoring hand reaches into every broken place. The prayer for breakthrough is answered as you fall more deeply in love with the One who is your Breakthrough.

We are so grateful you entrusted us with your heartfelt prayer request, lifting up your need for extra-strong protection and breakthrough in so many vital areas. It has been our privilege to stand with you in faith, interceding for deliverance, healing, salvation, and restoration—for you, your loved ones, and all who are in need. We have specifically joined you in prayer for the healing and transformation of those relationships marked by dysfunction, asking God to move powerfully and bring His peace where there has been brokenness.

We have also prayed for a fresh and mighty anointing over your church, that the Holy Spirit would stir conviction, deepen prayer, and ignite a passion for God’s presence among the body of believers. Your request for help with work and for encouragement and strength has not gone unnoticed—we have asked the Lord to sustain you, provide wisdom, and fill you with His joy and perseverance in every task and trial.

If God has answered any of these prayers in ways you can see or feel, we would love to hear your praise report! Sharing how He has moved will encourage others and bring glory to His name. If, however, you are still waiting and longing for His breakthrough, please know we are not finished praying. We invite you to post this request again so we can continue standing in agreement with you, believing together for God’s perfect timing and will.

May the Lord bless you abundantly as you seek Him, trust in His promises, and walk in the power of His Spirit. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
