We come before the Father in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, lifting you and your concerns to Him, for it is written, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:6-7, WEB). It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to the throne of God, and we rejoice that you have brought this request before Him, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
We recognize the distress in your heart regarding the need for protection for yourself and your dogs, and we pray that the Lord would surround you with His divine hedge of protection. Just as He watched over His people Israel, so too does He watch over those who trust in Him today. *"He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.’ For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler, and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart"* (Psalm 91:1-4, WEB). Father, we ask that You place Your mighty angels around this beloved child of Yours and their dogs, guarding them from all harm and danger. Let no weapon formed against them prosper, and let every tongue that rises against them be condemned (Isaiah 54:17).
We also sense the urgency in your request for calmness, wisdom, and peace. The Lord does not desire for His children to live in fear or turmoil, but to cast all their cares upon Him, for He cares deeply for each one of us (1 Peter 5:7). *"For God hasn’t given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control"* (2 Timothy 1:7, WEB). Father, we pray that You would fill this dear one with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Calm their mind and heart, and let them rest in the assurance that You are sovereign over all things. Grant them wisdom from above, which is *"first pure, then peaceful, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy"* (James 3:17, WEB). May they walk in this wisdom, making decisions that honor You and bring glory to Your name.
As for those who may seek to harm or intrude, we pray that the Lord would turn their hearts away from any evil intent. *"The king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the rivers of water. He turns it wherever he desires"* (Proverbs 21:1, WEB). Father, if it is Your will, cause those who pose a threat to lose interest or be redirected, so that they will not even look toward the backyard or seek to bring harm. Let Your presence be a deterrent to any who would seek to do wrong, and let Your light expose and thwart any plans of the enemy.
We also encourage you to stand firm in faith, knowing that the battle belongs to the Lord. *"Don’t be afraid of them, for I am with you to deliver you,’ says Yahweh"* (Jeremiah 1:8, WEB). Put on the full armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:11). This includes the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the preparation of the Good News of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Pray in the Spirit always, with all kinds of prayers and requests, staying alert in this with all perseverance for all the saints.
Finally, we urge you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and in His Word. Draw near to Him, and He will draw near to you (James 4:8). Let this time be an opportunity to deepen your trust in Him, for He is faithful and will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). If you have not already, we encourage you to surrender every area of your life to Jesus Christ, acknowledging Him as Lord and Savior. It is only through faith in Him that we have eternal life and the promise of His constant presence and protection (John 3:16, Matthew 28:20).
Father, we thank You for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your goodness and Your perfect will. May Your peace, which transcends all understanding, guard the heart and mind of this dear one in Christ Jesus. May they experience Your protection, Your wisdom, and Your unfailing love in tangible ways. We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer. Amen.
