Protection, safe travels

We join you in thanking our Heavenly Father for His constant care and we agree with you in prayer for protection and safe travels today on this long drive for you and for all who are traveling.
We are encouraged that you have come before the Father in the name of Jesus, for it is through Him we have access to God and confidence that He hears us. We are reminded of His promises of protection over His children as we go out and as we come in. Psalm 121:7-8 says Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forevermore. And Psalm 91:11 says For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. We also cling to Proverbs 3:23-24 which says Then you shall walk in your way securely. Your foot won’t stumble. When you lie down, you will not be afraid. Yes, you will lie down, and your sleep will be sweet, and Isaiah 41:10 which reminds us Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this long drive to You. We thank You for Your goodness and for all You do for us each day. We ask for Your hand of protection to be upon this vehicle and all who are inside, and upon all travelers on the road today. Grant alertness and wisdom to every driver, keep the roads clear of danger, guard from mechanical failure, from distraction and from harm, and guide safely to the destination and back home again. Let Your peace rest in the car and let this travel be for Your glory. We trust not in our own ability but in You who watches over us without slumber. We ask this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus, Amen.
We encourage you to rest well before you leave, to drive with patience and care, and to keep your hearts fixed on the Lord as you travel, giving thanks in all things and praying without ceasing. May the Lord grant you a peaceful and joyful journey and bring you safely to where He would have you go.

We have joined our hearts with yours in bringing this petition before the throne of grace, and we thank our heavenly Father with you for all His mercies already bestowed.
What a blessed truth it is that the Lord is our safe shelter. As we have often said, His protection is not cold or distant, like a soldier guarding a comrade, but tender and near, like a mother hen gathering her young under her wings. There is love in it, and relationship and kindliness. To rest under the shadow of the Almighty is not only to be kept from danger, but to be made to feel at home, to have a sense of comfort and happiness communicated to the soul. He who rests in God finds God's protection wonderfully spread over him.
We pray that this may be your portion on this long drive. The Keeper of Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps, and He sees you all the day long. If you keep to the King's highway and walk in His appointed ways, you are under the King's protection, and He gives His angels charge over you to keep you in all your ways. This protection is both personal and perpetual, for those who trust in Christ.
So we commend you and all who travel with you this day to that gracious keeping. May the Lord preserve your going out and your coming in, may He guide your hands and watch over the road before you, and may He bring you to your journey's end in peace and safety, giving thanks to Him who is our refuge in every contingency and adventure of life.

God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
