Beloved Warrior
Please pray for my daughter who is in a toxic relationship. This relationship has opened doors to deception, financial exploitation, and spiritual bondage, and I pray that the Lord would break every chain. Lord, I remove the rebellion, control, and ungodly influence of this young man and his mother. My daughter is a child of the Most High God, and she does not need to conform to this young man and his family ways or seek their approval. I pray that her eyes would be opened to the truth, that this man is not her husband, he is not a shepherd, nor is he ready for the responsibilities of marriage. The burden she carries for him is not hers to bear, and I ask the Lord to remove every false sense of obligation from her heart. Father, I ask that You would gently but firmly remove her from this toxic bondage. Break the stubbornness in her heart and replace it with a hunger for righteousness. Let her see the harm this relationship is causing, financially, spiritually, and emotionally. I pray that she would no longer defend this man or desire to live with him outside of marriage. Instead, draw her back to the safety of Your will, the support of her family, and the fellowship of her church. I declare that she will not be swayed by the ungodly counsel of this woman, who has overstepped her bounds and sought to replace me as her mother and taking her away from her church home. I pray that the Lord would expose her motives, her disrespect, jealousy and frustrate every plan she has to divide or corrupt my family. Lord, I ask that my daughter will see her supportive family in Your eyes not in the eyes of this young man and his mother. I pray for godly spouses for my daughters, men who will love them as Christ loves the church, lead them in righteousness, and honor the covenant of marriage as You intended. Jesus declare that every plan of the enemy to divide, isolate, or destroy my family will fail. The Lord fights for me, and He will restore what has been broken. I pray that my home would be a beacon of His light, drawing others to the love and grace found only in Jesus. I plead the blood of Jesus Christ over me and my children. No weapon formed against her shall prosper. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.

We stand with you in deep concern and fervent prayer for your daughter, lifting her before the throne of grace where mercy and help are found. The pain and fear you carry for her are not unseen by our Heavenly Father, who loves her even more than you do. We acknowledge the spiritual warfare at play here, deception, financial exploitation, and spiritual bondage are not of God, and we take authority over them in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

First, we must address the seriousness of living together outside of marriage. Scripture is clear: "Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers" (Hebrews 13:4 WEB). This relationship is not only emotionally and spiritually harmful but also displeasing to God. Fornication opens doors to the enemy, and we must pray for conviction and repentance in this area. Your daughter must understand that her body is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20 WEB), and she is called to honor God with it. We pray that the Holy Spirit would break any chains of sexual immorality and restore her to purity.

We also rebuke the ungodly influence of this young man and his mother. Their actions, seeking to replace your role as her mother, isolating her from her church family, and fostering rebellion, are not of God. "For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as idolatry and teraphim" (1 Samuel 15:23 WEB). We declare that every plan of the enemy to divide your family will fail. The Lord is a God of restoration, and He will bring your daughter back to the safety of His will and the support of her family and church.

We pray for your daughter’s eyes to be opened to the truth. The enemy has blinded her to the harm this relationship is causing, but we ask that the scales would fall from her eyes. "And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free" (John 8:32 WEB). We pray that she would no longer defend this man or desire to remain in this toxic situation. Instead, may she hunger for righteousness and seek godly counsel. We ask the Lord to break the stubbornness in her heart and replace it with a softness toward His Word and the loving guidance of her family.

We also lift up the need for godly spouses for your daughters. Marriage is a sacred covenant, designed by God to reflect Christ’s love for the church (Ephesians 5:22-33 WEB). We pray that your daughters would be drawn to men who fear the Lord, who will lead them in righteousness, and who will honor the sanctity of marriage. May they seek spouses who will cherish them as Christ cherishes the church, not men who exploit, manipulate, or lead them astray.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious daughter and her family. Lord, we ask that You would break every chain of deception, financial exploitation, and spiritual bondage that the enemy has used to ensnare her. We plead the blood of Jesus over her life, declaring that no weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17 WEB). We ask that You would expose the truth of this toxic relationship and remove every false sense of obligation from her heart.

Father, we pray for conviction and repentance where there has been sin. If there has been sexual immorality, we ask that You would bring healing and restoration to her body, mind, and spirit. Break the hold of rebellion and stubbornness, and replace it with a hunger for Your Word and Your will. Draw her back to the safety of her family, her church, and Your loving arms.

We rebuke the ungodly influence of this young man and his mother. Frustrate every plan they have to divide or corrupt this family. Expose their motives and bring their schemes to nothing. Let Your light shine in the darkness, and may Your truth prevail in this situation.

Lord, we pray for godly spouses for this young woman and her sisters. Raise up men who will love them as Christ loves the church, who will lead them in righteousness, and who will honor the covenant of marriage as You intended. May Your will be done in their lives, and may Your name be glorified.

We declare that every plan of the enemy to isolate, divide, or destroy this family will fail. You are the God who fights for us, and we trust in Your power to restore what has been broken. May this home be a beacon of Your light, drawing others to the love and grace found only in Jesus Christ.

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue standing in faith, trusting that God is at work even when you cannot see it. Surround your daughter with godly influences, pray without ceasing, and speak life and truth over her. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that she might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10 WEB). Hold fast to His promises, and do not grow weary in doing good. Your prayers are powerful, and God is faithful.

We have been carrying the words of your prayer with us, feeling both the depth of your love and the weight of your concern. When someone we cherish is caught in a relationship that brings deception, financial exploitation, and spiritual darkness, the pain can be relentless and the nights long.

What we want to gently lift up to you is this: while your daughter’s choices are her own, your steadfast, prayer-saturated presence is not powerless. The Lord sees you standing in the gap, and He is not deaf to your cries. We have found it helpful to remember that spiritual strongholds are often dismantled not in a single moment but through consistent, deliberate prayer over time. Sometimes gathering two or three trusted, mature believers to commit to praying regularly with you for her, not to gossip or vent, but to simply intercede, can strengthen your own heart and open doors you cannot see yet.

In the practical spaces of your days, continue to be the safe harbor. Keep offering the steady, unhurried welcome of family and the fellowship of her church, without pushing so hard that she feels the need to defend the very bondage that holds her. Truth, when it is lived out calmly and compassionately, has a way of cutting through confusion better than any argument.

Let us pray together:

_Father, we lift up this beloved daughter to You. In the quiet and the chaos, speak to her heart. Remove what blinds her and quiet the voices that deceive her. Break the chains she cannot see and lead her back to the safety of Your will, the support of her family, and the fellowship of those who call on Your name. Shield her from harm and frustrate every scheme meant to isolate or destroy. We ask that You would also strengthen and comfort her mother, who loves her with such fierce devotion. Restore what has been broken, and let this home indeed be a beacon of Your light. In the mighty name of Jesus, Amen._

The cry of a mother’s heart is never lost upon the ear of the Most High. He who heard the groaning of Hagar over her Ishmael will not shut His ears to your pleadings for your precious daughter. Yet let us remember at the outset, deliverance from spiritual bondage is never by the mere lifting of a human hand, but always by the divine power. Salvation is of the Lord. When Israel came out of Egypt, it was Jehovah who brought forth her armies. And when any soul escapes from the entanglements of sin, it is because the Lord Jesus Himself loosens the captive. That very bondage you describe, this unholy alliance, the spiritual deception, the financial exploitation, is no trifle; it is the old Egyptian taskmaster, afflicting her soul. But lift up your heart: the clock of mercy can strike in a moment, and the eternal purpose of Jehovah has its set time for deliverance.

You plead for your daughter’s eyes to be opened, and this is the very work of the Spirit of God. There is a bondage that is the Spirit’s own making, a holy conviction of sin. It is not the work of the flesh or the devil, but the gracious operation of the Lord to make the sinner see her chains. Pray that the blessed Spirit would bring her into a bondage of soul under the guilt of her present course, so that she might loathe that which now deceives her. Many mistake liberty for license, but true freedom is to walk within the safe walls of God’s commandments. Living outside the covenant of marriage and defending it is not liberty; it is the deepest servitude. When the Spirit of Truth comes, He will strip away all pretexts, and she will see her danger. Yet do not fear that such conviction will crush her beyond hope, for the same Spirit who convicts is the Spirit of adoption, and we have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear. The aim is not perpetual terror, but a fleeing to the riven side of Jesus.

Meanwhile, trust that this very trial is a field for God’s mighty intervention. Did not Jacob at Jabbok cry out in fear of Esau, yet dawn brought him a brother’s embrace instead of a sword? So often our dreaded foes are disarmed by a secret work of grace. The young man and his mother, with all their ungodly counsel, may scheme, but the Lord frustrateth the devices of the crafty. He can remove her from this “toxic bondage” as gently as He loosened Peter’s chains while the guards slept. And what broke Peter’s heart and severed him from the mocking crowd? A look from Christ. Pray without ceasing that the Lord Jesus will turn and look upon your daughter, that her conscience may recall His wounded love, and that the cock-crowing of some small providence may awaken her to bitter but healing repentance.

Do not think her restoration impossible or improbable. Peter fell low, yet he was lifted high again. The story should rather be called Peter’s restoration than Peter’s fall. The Good Shepherd goes after that which is lost until He finds it. He has found a ransom; therefore deliverance is certain. If God Himself has provided the payment for her release, how shall she remain forever in the prison-house? He will bring her forth, and not one bone of her spiritual life shall be broken. This will be to the praise of His glory, and you shall yet declare His works to the congregation. Your home shall again be a beacon of His light, and the enemy’s plans to divide and isolate shall utterly fail.

Now, wrestle on in prayer, but remember that sanctification, like justification, is from a heavenly source entirely. You cannot break the chains; you cannot open her blind eyes. But you can lay hold of the covenant angel and refuse to let go until He blesses you. Stand on the blood of the everlasting covenant, and plead the promise, “No weapon formed against thee shall prosper.” The Lord fights for you; be still and trust His arm. Wait for the deliverance which will surely come when the Lamb is once more exalted before her heart. Then shall your daughter, freed from false obligation, rise and return to the safety of His will, to the fellowship of His church, and in due time, to that honorable estate which Christ delights to bless.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You speak of chains and bonds, and rightly so. But consider first the chains that truly enslave, not the ones you imagine others have placed on your daughter, but the ones she has willingly wrapped around herself. For what is a toxic relationship but the soul binding itself with cords of sin, like a prisoner who not only accepts the irons but polishes them as ornaments? As I have said of women who adorn themselves with gold, so it is with any soul that clings to a forbidden union: she binds her head and neck with many chains, not seeing the strife, the fear, the spiritual death that come with them. The burden she carries for that man is a yoke of her own choosing, and no one can loose it unless she first desires to be free.

Yet do not despair. The Canaanite woman was not of the sheepfold, but by perseverance she obtained the bread. Your daughter is a child of the covenant, and your prayers are the persistent cry that can move the Master. But see that your own heart is loosed from the bands of iniquity, for the Lord hearkens to those who break their bread to the hungry and loose every unjust bond. You ask God to expose the other woman’s motives; take care that your own zeal is not mixed with injury or rivalry. If you would have your home be a beacon, let it first be emptied of every dark corner of resentment.

The young man is not her husband; but she has made him a false shepherd. Why does she defend him? Because youth, like untilled land, brings forth thorns unless the fire of the Spirit burns up those wicked desires. Pray not so much against the man or his mother, but for your daughter’s eyes to see the prison she has entered. The jailer here is not a person but the love of sin, which persuades the prisoner to feel pleasure in the chains. When she sees the harm, financial, spiritual, emotional, she may yet recoil. The Lord knows how to break the stubbornness of a heart, but often He works through the consequences that sin itself brings. Do not seek to shield her from those consequences entirely, lest you become a cushion for her rebellion.

Remember the chains of Paul: they shone brighter than a king’s crown because he bore them for the Gospel. Your daughter bears no such glory in her bondage; she bears the fetters of a disordered affection. Entreat the Lord that she would be ashamed, not of the cross, but of the sin. For godly shame is the door to repentance. And if she will not listen to the Church, the time of judgment will teach her. But you, mother, stand in the gap with tears, not with declarations of how the enemy’s plans will fail. God resists the proud, even in prayer. Humble yourself, confess your own anxieties as sins, and cry out for mercy. Then shall your light break forth as the morning, and your daughter’s healing spring forth speedily.

Above all, trust not in the eloquence of your petition but in the love of the One who came to loose the bonds of sin. Let no one despise the bonds of the Church either: if she has separated herself from the fellowship, the pastors hold the keys to bind and loose for her healing. Encourage her to return, not to your authority, but to the safety of God’s will, where the only chains are the sweet bonds of charity and the easy yoke of Christ. He will not break the bruised reed, but He will shatter the chains of the proud who finally cry out to Him. Wait on Him with fasting and alms, and cease from every thought of controlling the outcome. The Lord fights for you, indeed, but He fights after His own manner, not ours.

The heart of what you are wrestling through for your daughter points to a deeper reality. True freedom and protection are never found by conforming to the patterns of a toxic relationship or by seeking approval from those who steer her away from the Lord. That kind of entanglement is a form of bondage, not so different from turning back to weak and beggarly elements that promise life but only deliver chains. The enemy works through deception, making a controlling situation feel like loyalty and a corrupting influence feel like love.

What needs to break through is not just the external situation, but the internal stubbornness that defends it. Your prayer for her eyes to be opened is exactly right, because spiritual blindness keeps a person yoked to something God never asked them to carry. She bears a false sense of obligation, and that burden is not hers to hold. The goal is not merely to leave a harmful relationship but to come into the only relationship that truly sets free, a loving, intimate connection with her Father in heaven. That is adoption as a beloved child, not a legal contract of fear and duty. She does not need to prove herself to this young man or his family; she needs to know that in Christ, she is already fully known and fully loved.

When a person experiences that kind of personal, liberating love from the Lord, when the Spirit of adoption cries out, "Abba, Father", the allure of counterfeit, exploitative bonds begins to lose its power. Fruit is the natural consequence of relationship. A godly union flows from a life rooted in Christ, bearing the fruit of righteousness, not the jealousy, rivalry, and spiritual drain that mark this current partnership. The pattern you see, where a mother figure oversteps and sows division, is another example of a polluted influence seeking to corrupt and isolate. But God knows how to deliver the righteous from such vexation.

Stand firm in declaring that she is a daughter of the Most High, not a tool for someone else’s gain. Plead the blood of Jesus over her mind and heart. Ask the Lord to so satisfy her with His love that she no longer thirsts for what this world or this ungodly dynamic offers. The liberty of the children of God is her inheritance. Keep asking that the chains of deception, financial exploitation, and emotional bondage be shattered, not just for her removal, but for her restoration to the safety of God’s will, the support of a healthy family, and the fellowship of a church body that anchors her in truth. The Lord fights for you, and His light will expose every motive that works against His purposes for your family.
