We join with you in prayer and we thank you for coming to us in Jesus' name, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that we find protection and peace.
We hear your cry for protection over your home, your belongings, your mind and your sanity, and for strength to remain calm when provoked. We also hear your desire for peace and reconciliation. We stand with you asking God to guard you and to bring His perfect peace into this difficult situation.
The Word reminds us that our struggle is not ultimately against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of wickedness, yet the people involved are still souls loved by God who need His mercy. Ephesians 6:12 says For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. And 1 Peter 5:8 tells us Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. So we want to gently encourage you while we pray against the evil one, to also pray for the woman you mentioned with compassion, that God would bring her to repentance, healing and renewal of her mind, and that any anger and bitterness would be put away. Ephesians 4:31-32 says Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you. Romans 12:2 also calls us to be transformed by the renewing of your mind, which only God can do.
We also pray for your own heart to be guarded with self control and gentleness. Proverbs 15:1 says A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. And Galatians 5:22-23 reminds us But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law. James 1:19-20 says So, then, my beloved brothers, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger; for the anger of man doesn't produce the righteousness of God. We pray God will give you that supernatural restraint to not react in the flesh, even when provoked.
For your protection and peace, we cling to the promises that God is our refuge. Psalm 91:1 says He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. Proverbs 18:10 says The name of Yahweh is a strong tower: the righteous run to it, and are safe. 2 Thessalonians 3:3 says But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one. James 4:7 says Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 2 Timothy 1:7 says For God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. Philippians 4:6-7 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.
Concerning reconciliation, we pray for God's will to be done among all three of you. Romans 12:18 says If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men. Matthew 5:9 says Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God. If you are praying for restoration of a romantic relationship, we encourage you to seek that in a way that honors God. We believe marriage is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman designed by God, and any courtship should be between two believers in Christ with the goal of godly marriage, pursued in purity and holiness. 2 Corinthians 6:14 reminds us not to be unequally yoked, and we pray that any relationship you pursue would be centered on Christ, free from fornication or impurity, and moving toward marriage if it is the Lord's will. If reconciliation is meant to be cordial and platonic, we pray for forgiveness, clear boundaries, and God honoring peace.
We now pray together:
Father in heaven, we lift up this dear one to You in the mighty name of Jesus. We ask You to place Your hedge of protection around this person, around the home and all that is within it, and around the mind and spirit. Let Your angels encamp around those who fear You and deliver them as You promise in Psalm 34:7. We resist the devil on behalf of our brother or sister and command every influence of evil to flee in Jesus' name. Lord, we ask You to bring deliverance and healing to the woman who is struggling with anger. Remove bitterness and wrath from her heart, renew her mind, and draw her to repentance and to the saving knowledge of Jesus if she does not yet know You. Give her a spirit of peace and self control. Father, guard our friend's heart with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, grant a sound mind free from fear, and fill this person with Your power, love and self control to respond with gentleness and not to be drawn into strife. We ask for wisdom to set healthy and biblical boundaries and to walk in forgiveness as You have forgiven us. For the relationships mentioned, we pray Your perfect will be done. If reconciliation is Your will, make it cordial, respectful and honoring to You. If a romantic relationship is desired, let it be a godly courtship between believers leading to marriage that glorifies You, or if not Your will, give grace to accept Your direction and to find peace. Let Your name be a strong tower over this home. We trust You as our faithful guardian who will establish and guard us from the evil one. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.
We encourage you to continue in prayer, to remain in the Word daily, to put on the full armor of God described in Ephesians 6:11, and to seek wise counsel from a pastor or mature believers who can walk with you and help establish healthy boundaries. The Lord is near to you and He will be your peace and your protector as you abide in Him.
Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.
