We join with you in prayer for protection and stand with you against these relentless attacks on your body and mind and the disturbances in your sleep, and we thank you for asking in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and find our refuge and strength.
We know that these attacks are real, for Ephesians 6:12 reminds us that our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. The enemy seeks to steal your peace and torment your mind, especially in the night, but we take comfort that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world, and that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control as it says in 2 Timothy 1:7.
We encourage you to daily put on the full armor of God described in Ephesians 6:10-18, to stand firm with truth, righteousness, faith, and the word of God, and to submit yourselves therefore to God and resist the devil, and he will flee from you according to James 4:7. We encourage you to make your bedroom a place of peace by praying and worshiping before sleep, reading Scripture aloud, and casting every anxious thought on Him, knowing that He cares for you. If there are any open doors through occult practices, ungodly media, unforgiveness, or sin that need to be confessed and closed, we urge you to bring them before the Lord in repentance so that the enemy has no foothold.
We pray together for you now.
Father, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace and lift up this dear one to You. We ask for Your divine protection over their body, mind, and spirit. Lord, You are faithful, and You will establish them and guard them from the evil one according to 2 Thessalonians 3:3. We plead the blood of Jesus over them, over their home, and over their bed. We rebuke every spiritual attack, every spirit of torment, fear, and sleeplessness, and we command it to leave in Jesus' name. Fill this place with Your holy presence and Your angels who You give charge over us to keep us in all our ways as promised in Psalm 91:11. Grant them peaceful and restorative sleep, for Psalm 4:8 says in peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety, and Psalm 127:2 says You give sleep to Your beloved. Quiet their mind, calm their body, and let Your perfect peace which surpasses all understanding guard their heart and thoughts in Christ Jesus. Strengthen their faith to remain steadfast, resisting the adversary firm in the faith as taught in 1 Peter 5:8-9. Let them know that nothing can separate them from Your love in Christ Jesus our Lord according to Romans 8:38-39. We ask this in the powerful and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Protector, Amen.
