Protection from spiritual attacks

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Please pray for protection from relentless attacks on body and mind causing disturbances in sleep, in Jesus name Amen

We stand with you in this spiritual battle, lifting you up before the throne of grace. The relentless attacks you are experiencing, disturbances in sleep, afflictions of body and mind, are not from God, for He gives His beloved rest (Psalm 127:2). The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke every spirit of fear, oppression, and torment in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for "the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds" (2 Corinthians 10:4).

The Word of God is clear: "Be sober and self-controlled; be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour" (1 Peter 5:8). But we are not left defenseless. We put on the full armor of God, truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God, so that we may stand firm against the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:11-17). We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, the Name above all names, the One through whom we have access to Your throne. Lord, we lift up our brother/sister who is under spiritual attack. We ask for Your divine protection to surround them like a shield, for You are their refuge and fortress, their God in whom they trust (Psalm 91:2). We plead the blood of Jesus over their mind, body, and spirit, and we command every spirit of darkness to flee in Jesus’ name.

Father, we declare that no evil shall befall them, nor shall any plague come near their dwelling (Psalm 91:10). We bind every spirit of fear, anxiety, and torment, and we loose peace, rest, and soundness of mind over them. Let Your angels encamp around them, guarding them in all their ways (Psalm 91:11). Strengthen them with Your might, Lord, and fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may stand firm in faith and resist the devil (James 4:7).

We pray for deep, restorative sleep, free from disturbances and nightmares. You give Your beloved sleep, Lord, and we trust You to grant it to them (Psalm 127:2). Renew their strength like the eagle’s, that they may rise up and run without growing weary (Isaiah 40:31). Help them to fix their eyes on Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of their faith, who endured the cross for the joy set before Him (Hebrews 12:2).

Lord, we ask that You would expose any areas of their life where the enemy may have gained a foothold. If there is unconfessed sin, unforgiveness, or any open door to the enemy, reveal it to them, that they may repent and walk in the light of Your truth. Cleanse them with the blood of Jesus and restore them to fellowship with You.

We declare that they are more than conquerors through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37). No attack of the enemy shall prevail against them, for You who are in them is greater than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness, for Your promise to never leave nor forsake them (Hebrews 13:5). May they find their rest and strength in You alone.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray and declare these things. Amen.

We encourage you to stand firm in your faith, beloved. Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not faint (Galatians 6:9). Surround yourself with godly fellowship, immerse yourself in the Word of God, and remain in constant prayer. The enemy seeks to isolate you, but you are never alone, God is with you, and so are we. Keep your heart and mind stayed on Him, for He will keep you in perfect peace (Isaiah 26:3).

If these attacks persist, consider fasting and seeking the counsel of mature believers who can stand with you in prayer and intercession. Remember, the battle is not yours, but God’s (2 Chronicles 20:15). Trust in Him, and He will give you the victory.

We are standing with you in prayer as you face these relentless attacks that disturb your sleep and weigh on your body and mind. Spiritual opposition is a real and exhausting battle, and when it robs you of rest, everything feels harder. We want you to know we are not ignoring the intensity of what you are going through, nor are we quick to offer easy answers. You are not alone in this.

One simple thing that has helped others when sleep is stolen by anxious or oppressive thoughts is to fill the nighttime space with gentle, truth-filled sounds. Some in our own congregation have found that playing quiet hymns or instrumental worship music softly through the night can shift the atmosphere in the room, giving the mind something steady to rest upon instead of circling fear. It is a small act, but it can become a tangible reminder that God’s peace is present, even when our feelings take time to catch up.

As you face these attacks, we are praying specifically for a shield of protection to surround your sleep. We are asking God to quiet the disturbance, to break whatever is causing it, and to give your body and mind the deep rest He designed you to enjoy.

Lord Jesus, we lift up our friend to You right now. You see the war being waged against their rest. We ask You to silence every voice that is not Yours and to release Your peace over their mind and body. Guard their sleep tonight and in the nights ahead. Let them wake up refreshed and aware of Your nearness. In Your mighty name, Amen.

Thank you Heavenly Father for blessing us with another day, and for all you do for all of us. All glory and honor belongs to you Father. Please Heavenly Father heal and strengthen this requestor and grant them deliverance from attacks from the evil enemy. Please block all attacks Father God. I lift this prayer up on your glory Father God and ask that you grant your perfect will. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

““But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.”

‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭17‬:‭7‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Your cry ascends not into empty air. The Lord knoweth the unrelenting buffetings of the enemy upon your body and mind, and the sleepless nights that follow. It is written, "So he giveth his beloved sleep." Sleep is the gift of God, the best physician for this poor, weary frame and throbbing brain. Yet you have learned what many have proved: you never knew exactly when you went to sleep; you have often wanted to go to sleep, but you could not. The more you strive after it, the more it flees. This very struggle becomes a fresh wound, for there is a weak point in the strongest man's mind, where his opposition can be wounded.

But be of good cheer. He that keepeth Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps. He never fails for lack of power. You are His sheep, and the Shepherd sought a lost sheep when it was so worn out as to be nothing but a destroyed sheep; He will not abandon you now. He gathers the lambs in His arms and carries them in His bosom; as one whom his mother comforts, so will the Lord comfort you. These assaults, though they buffet the body and disturb the mind, cannot touch your soul's security in Christ. The wolf may howl and even seem to prevail, but the Shepherd’s crook is ever near. Remember, "We that are in this body do groan, being burdened," and such groaning is not sin; it is the evidence that you are yet in the tent of this tabernacle, but you are not forsaken.

I will join you at the throne, asking that He who giveth His beloved sleep will rebuke the destroyer and grant you the sweet repose that is His gift. When He giveth quietness, who then can make trouble? Rest in His careful love, for He careth for you.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You ask for prayer concerning relentless attacks on your body and mind that disturb your sleep. This is indeed a work of the enemy, who seeks to overwhelm you with terrors at that very hour when the body must rest. Yet know this: when the soul is not stifled within by excess of food or worldly cares, it soon recovers itself and is wakeful even in sleep. Those who walk in the fear of God lie down as decently as the awake, their rest light and untroubled. But where there are burdens of sin, where the mind is heavy with anxieties and covetous scheming, sleep becomes a tempest rather than a haven. Examine yourself, then, and see if you have given a foothold to such disturbances by your manner of living.

The incorporeal God must be worshiped with the incorporeal part of us, the mind, and in truth. Dedicate yourself anew. Crucify every evil thought, every vain desire that swarms up in the darkness, and make of your mind a watchful eunuch who stands before the King, sober and ready. If you suffer your foot to be moved, you will surely reel; but if you stand steadfast, no power can shake you. Call upon Him who keeps Israel, who neither slumbers nor sleeps. Remember the Master in His agony, who did not shrink back but said, “Glorify Thy Name.” He did not hide from suffering but entrusted Himself to the Father, and His peace overspread the storm. You who partake of that very Body and Blood, how can you be so shaken by spiritual terrors? Let us be ashamed that we grasp such riches yet let the enemy trample us.

We shall pray for your protection in the name of Jesus, that every assault be driven back. But you also must fight, disciplining the body, filling the mind with holy psalms and prayers, and fleeing every occasion of sin. Then even your sleep will be a sacred rest, and you will rise each morning with the collectedness of one who has been long awake with the Lord.
