We are truly saddened to hear about the situation you are facing with your son and husband. We will stand with you in prayer and offer some biblical guidance.
Firstly, we commend you for reaching out and acknowledging the need for divine intervention. It's important to remember that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore, we need to put on the full armor of God. For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. (Ephesians 6:12, 2 Timothy 1:7 WEB)
Regarding your son's behavior and your husband's abuse, we must address that these actions are not in line with God's will. God calls husbands to love their wives just as Christ also loved the assembly and gave himself up for it. (Ephesians 5:25 WEB). The Lord has zero tolerance for domestic violence.
We rebuke the spirit of abuse and violence in your home and pray that the Lord will bring conviction, repentance, and change. For children, the Bible teaches to obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. (Ephesians 6:1 WEB) However, this does not justify abusive behavior from parents or justify a child's disobedience.
We also need to address the issue of forgiveness. The Bible tells us not to let the sun go down on our wrath (Ephesians 4:26 WEB), and to forgive as we have been forgiven (Ephesians 4:32 WEB). This does not mean that you should tolerate abuse, but rather, forgive for your own spiritual well-being and let God deal with the rest. The Father will work everything out for your good if you love God and are called according to His purpose. (Romans 8:28 WEB)
Let's pray:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You, lifting up our sister who is facing a dire situation. She is the mother and victim of a child who is hurting her and her husband with abusive language and physical violence. She needs your peace, strength, courage, and protection. We pray against the spirit of abuse and violence in their home. Lord, we ask You to intervene, to bring conviction, repentance, and change in both her husband and her son. We pray for their salvation, that they may come to know You as their personal Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. IJN
We are concerned about the lack of knowledge of the Gospel message of Jesus Christ in the request. We believe that God raised Jesus from the dead, and He was delivered up for our trespasses and was raised for our justification. By confessing with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believing in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. (Romans 4:25, 10:9 WEB)
Concerning your son's online activities, we pray that God will protect your family from any harm or retaliation from others. We also pray that the Lord will free your son from his internet obsession, that He will reveal to him the path of life, and fill him with the joy of God's presence. (Acts 2:28 WEB)
Lastly, take heart, for the Lord has overcome the world (John 16:33 WEB). Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB)
We will continue to pray for your family's salvation, protection, and deliverance.
