Protection from abuse
We lift up this urgent plea for protection with heavy hearts, standing firmly in the authority of Jesus Christ, who is our refuge and strength. The safety and well-being of your son—and all who may be suffering abuse—is a matter of deep concern before the Lord. Scripture declares, *"The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble"* (Psalm 9:9 WEB). We join you in crying out for divine intervention, believing that God hears the cries of the afflicted and acts on their behalf.
Abuse in any form is a grievous violation of God’s design for human dignity and love. The Bible is clear: *"Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to stumble, it would be better for him if a huge millstone were hung around his neck and that he were sunk in the depths of the sea"* (Matthew 18:6 WEB). We rebuke the spirit of violence, oppression, and fear in the mighty name of Jesus, commanding it to cease and desist. No weapon formed against your son—or any child of God—shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17 WEB).
We pray for supernatural protection over your son, asking the Lord to station His angels around him as a hedge of defense (Psalm 34:7 WEB). May God’s presence be a shield against every threat, and may His peace guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7 WEB). If there are systems, individuals, or spiritual forces perpetuating this harm, we ask the Lord to expose them, disrupt their plans, and bring justice swiftly. *"The Lord works righteousness and justice for all who are oppressed"* (Psalm 103:6 WEB).
We also encourage you to take practical steps to ensure your son’s safety. If this abuse is occurring in a home, school, or community setting, we urge you to seek godly counsel, involve authorities where necessary, and remove him from harm’s way. God often works through His people to bring deliverance, and we must be wise as serpents and harmless as doves (Matthew 10:16 WEB).
