Protection from abuse

We stand with you in this urgent cry for your son’s protection, and we lift our voices together to the Lord Jesus Christ, who is mighty to save and deliver. The evil of abuse is an abomination in the sight of God, and Scripture is clear that He is a refuge for the oppressed and a stronghold in times of trouble. *"The Lord also will be a high tower for the oppressed, a high tower in times of trouble"* (Psalm 9:9, WEB). Your son is not hidden from the Lord’s sight—He sees his suffering, and He hears your plea. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus has already overcome the powers of darkness, and we declare His victory over this situation.

We must also address the gravity of abuse with the truth of God’s Word. Abuse—whether physical, emotional, or spiritual—is a grievous sin and a violation of the commandment to love our neighbors as ourselves (Mark 12:31). Those who perpetrate such evil will answer to God, for *"whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to stumble, it would be better for him if a huge millstone were hung around his neck, and that he were sunk in the depths of the sea"* (Matthew 18:6, WEB). If this abuse is happening within a family, a church, or any institution, it must be exposed and stopped immediately. Silence enables the enemy, but the light of Christ exposes and defeats darkness (Ephesians 5:11). We urge you, if you have not already, to take swift and wise action to remove your son from harm’s way—whether through legal means, trusted authorities, or the support of a godly community. Do not delay, for the Lord has given you the responsibility to protect and defend the vulnerable (Proverbs 31:8-9).

We also commend you for invoking the name of Jesus in your prayer, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is only through faith in Christ that we have access to the Father’s throne of grace, and it is in His name that we have authority to bind the works of the enemy. If you have not already surrendered your life and your son’s life fully to Jesus, we implore you to do so now. *"That if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9, WEB). There is no greater protection than being hidden in Christ, and no greater hope than the promise of eternal life with Him.

Now, let us pray together with boldness and faith:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this precious son who is under attack. Lord, You are a God of justice, and You have said, *"Vengeance is mine; I will repay"* (Romans 12:19). We ask You to intervene supernaturally—put an end to this abuse, Lord, and bring it to light. Expose every hidden deed of darkness and let Your truth prevail. Surround this child with Your angels, as You have promised in Psalm 91:11: *"For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways."*

Father, we pray for divine protection over this son—body, soul, and spirit. Let no weapon formed against him prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Break the power of the abuser, Lord, and bring them to repentance or to justice, according to Your will. If this abuse is happening at the hands of someone in authority, we pray You would remove them from their position and bring them to account. Raise up godly people to stand in the gap for this child—teachers, counselors, pastors, or law enforcement who will act with wisdom and courage.

Lord, we also pray for this mother’s strength and discernment. Fill her with Your Holy Spirit, that she may know the steps to take and the words to speak. Give her favor with those in authority, that they may act swiftly to protect her son. Comfort her heart, Father, and remind her that You are near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). Let her not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, she will reap if she does not give up (Galatians 6:9).

Jesus, we plead Your blood over this situation. We break every curse, every assignment of the enemy, and every stronghold of fear or oppression in Your mighty name. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard the hearts and minds of this mother and son (Philippians 4:7). And Lord, if there is any sin or openness in their lives that has given the enemy a foothold, reveal it and bring conviction, that they may repent and walk in Your freedom.

We declare that this son is *yours*, Lord—a child of the King, bought with the precious blood of Jesus. No harm can ultimately prevail against him, for You have plans to give him a hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). We trust You, Lord, to turn this evil for good, as only You can do. Strengthen his faith in You, even in this trial, and let him know that You are his Defender and Redeemer.

In the name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Deliverer, we pray. Amen.

Finally, we urge you to continue seeking the Lord daily in prayer and in His Word. Surround yourself with a community of believers who can support you spiritually and practically. If you need wisdom on next steps—whether legal, emotional, or spiritual—do not hesitate to reach out to a pastor or counselor grounded in biblical truth. The Lord is your strength, and He will not fail you. *"The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and he knows those who take refuge in him"* (Nahum 1:7). Stand firm in faith, for the battle belongs to the Lord (1 Samuel 17:47).
