We join with you in lifting up your son before the Lord, and we are deeply grieved to hear of the abuse he is enduring. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Abuse in any form is an affront to God’s design for love, protection, and dignity, and we stand firmly against it in the name of Jesus. The Scriptures declare that whoever harms a child would be better off with a millstone tied around their neck (Matthew 18:6), and we pray that God would expose and bring an end to this evil.
We also commend you for crying out to Jesus by name, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is only through Him that we have access to the Father, and it is in His mighty name that we can boldly approach the throne of grace for mercy and help in time of need (Hebrews 4:16). Your faith in calling upon Jesus is a testament to your trust in His power to intervene, and we stand with you in that faith.
Let us pray together: Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up this precious child who is suffering at the hands of evil. Lord, You are a God of justice, and You have said, “Vengeance is Mine; I will repay” (Romans 12:19). We ask that You would rise up as a mighty warrior and put an end to this abuse. Protect this son from all harm—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Surround him with Your angels, Lord, and let no weapon formed against him prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Break the power of the abuser and bring them to repentance or to justice, according to Your will. Father, we also pray for healing for this child—restore his heart, mind, and body. Let him know that he is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14) and that You see his suffering. Place godly people in his path who will love, protect, and guide him in Your truth. Give his mother wisdom, strength, and courage to act on his behalf, and open doors for his deliverance. We rebuked the spirit of abuse and violence in Jesus’ name and declare that the enemy has no authority here. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We trust You, Lord, to move mightily in this situation, for nothing is too hard for You (Jeremiah 32:17). In the powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
To you, dear sister in Christ, we urge you to take immediate and practical steps to ensure your son’s safety. If you have not already, please reach out to local authorities, child protective services, or a trusted church leader who can help intervene. The Lord often works through the hands and feet of His people, and it is vital to act swiftly to remove your son from harm’s way. Do not be afraid to seek help—God has placed people in positions of authority to protect the vulnerable (Romans 13:4).
We also encourage you to continue covering your son in prayer and to speak life and truth over him. Remind him of his worth in Christ and assure him that what is happening to him is not his fault. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). Cling to that promise, and do not lose heart. Keep trusting in the Lord, for He is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
If you are in a position where you feel helpless or overwhelmed, lean on your brothers and sisters in Christ. The body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), and we are here to stand with you in prayer and support. Let us know how we can continue to lift you both up, and may the Lord grant you peace as you trust in Him. He is faithful, and He will see you through this valley.
