Protection from abuse
We stand with you in prayer, seeking God's intervention and protection for your son. Let us come before the Lord together, for we are assured in His Word, "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them." Matthew 18:20 (WEB).
Firstly, we praise God for your faith in Jesus Christ, for it is only by His name that we have access to the Father, and it is only by His name that we can be saved. Acts 4:12 reminds us, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved." It is encouraging to see your hope and trust in Jesus.
Let us pray:
Father God, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear parent and their son. Lord, You see the harm and danger that has come against this child, and Your heart is filled with compassion and love. We stand against any form of abuse, for You have called us to protect the innocent and speak for those who cannot speak for themselves. Proverbs 31:8-9 (WEB) says, "Open your mouth for the mute, in the cause of all who are left desolate. Open your mouth, judge righteously, and serve justice to the poor and needy."
Lord, we ask that You intervene and put an end to this abuse. Surround this child with Your angels, that they may encamp around him and deliver him from all evil. Psalm 34:7 (WEB) says, "The angel of Yahweh encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them."
Guide this parent, Lord, and fill them with Your wisdom and discernment. Show them the steps they need to take to ensure their son's safety and well-being. We pray for the abuser, that they would repent and turn from their wicked ways. If they will not repent, Lord, we ask that You would expose their deeds and bring them to justice.
We also pray for healing and restoration for this child. Bind up his wounds, Lord, and heal his broken heart. Psalm 147:3 (WEB) tells us, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds."
Finally, Lord, we pray for salvation for this family, that they would all come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
Be strong and courageous, for the Lord is with you. Do not be afraid or dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9 (WEB). Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
