We come before the Lord with a heavy heart, lifting up your ### and the situation he is facing. First and foremost, we must acknowledge that all authority is established by God, and we are called to respect and pray for those in positions of authority, even when we feel they may be acting unjustly. The Bible tells us in Romans 13:1, "Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God." We pray for wisdom and discernment for both your ### and the officers involved.
However, we also recognize that injustice and harassment are not of God, and we stand against them in the name of Jesus. We rebuke any spirit of oppression, fear, or intimidation that may be at work in this situation. The Lord is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We pray that your ### would find his strength and protection in the Lord, who is his shield and defender.
Father God, we ask that You would go before your ### and make his paths straight. We pray for divine protection over him, that no weapon formed against him would prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Lord, we ask that You would soften the hearts of the officers who may be harassing him, that they would be led by Your Spirit and not by any unrighteous motives. We pray that they would be redirected when he is on the street or road, that they would not find him, or that their hearts would be changed to act with justice and mercy.
We also pray for your ###’s heart, Lord. If there is any area of his life that is not aligned with Your will, we ask that You would reveal it to him and give him the strength to turn away from it. Help him to walk in integrity and righteousness, that he may be a light in this world. We pray that he would seek You above all else and find his identity and worth in Christ alone.
Lord, we know that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to You. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We pray that your ### would come to know You more deeply, that he would surrender his life to Jesus if he hasn’t already, and that he would walk in the fullness of Your protection and grace.
We declare that no plan of the enemy will prosper against your ###. We speak peace over his life, his mind, and his circumstances. We pray that he would experience Your presence in a tangible way, knowing that You are with him wherever he goes. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
