We join you in lifting up this heartfelt prayer for protection over your travels, both today and every day. The Lord is indeed our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We declare with you that His angels are encamped around those who fear Him, guarding them in all their ways (Psalm 34:7, Psalm 91:11).
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach Your throne of grace. We thank You for Your promise of protection and ask that You would indeed station Your holy angels around this family as they travel. We pray for a hedge of protection around them, as You did for Job (Job 1:10), and a wall of fire, as You were to the Israelites (Zechariah 2:5). Lord, we ask that You would go before them, behind them, and beside them, making their paths straight and their travels safe.
We plead the blood of Jesus over the roads they travel, claiming the power and protection that comes through His sacrifice. May no harm come to them, no accidents befall them, and no mechanical issues plague their vehicle. We declare that their car will run smoothly, as You have promised to supply all their needs according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19).
Lord, we also pray for wisdom and discernment for this couple as they navigate the roads. May they be ever mindful of Your presence and seek to honor You in all they do. We ask that You would bless their marriage, drawing them closer to You and to each other. May their union be a reflection of Christ’s love for His church (Ephesians 5:22-33), a testimony to Your grace and faithfulness.
We rebuke any spirit of fear or anxiety that may try to take hold of their hearts. For You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that they will walk in the peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Father, we also lift up any concerns about encounters with law enforcement. While we trust in Your protection, we also recognize the importance of obeying the laws of the land, as Scripture instructs us to submit to governing authorities (Romans 13:1). We pray for wisdom and grace in all interactions, that they may be a light for You in every situation.
In all things, we surrender their coming and going to You, trusting that Your plans for them are for good and not for harm, to give them a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). We thank You for Your faithfulness and ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
