We lift up this request with hearts full of faith, standing firm in the power of Jesus’ name. The Bible tells us, *"The name of Yahweh is a strong tower; the righteous run to him and are safe"* (Proverbs 18:10). We declare that no weapon formed against you or your friend shall prosper, for the Lord is your refuge and fortress (Isaiah 54:17, Psalm 91:2). We take authority over every lie, deception, and evil scheme that seeks to harm you, for Jesus has already disarmed the powers of darkness (Colossians 2:15).
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the only name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12). We pray for salvation to take root in the hearts of both this dear one and their friend. Soften their hearts to receive Your truth, that they may confess with their mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in their hearts that You raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9). Let the light of Christ pierce any darkness in their lives, drawing them into Your love and grace.
We rebuke every spirit of fear, confusion, and deceit that may be at work. The enemy comes only to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that they may have life abundantly (John 10:10). We stand on Your promise that *"no evil shall happen to you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling"* (Psalm 91:10). Surround them with Your angels, Lord, and let Your peace guard their hearts and minds (Philippians 4:7).
If there are areas in your life or your friend’s life that are not aligned with God’s will, we encourage you to surrender them to Christ. The Bible warns us, *"Do not be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God"* (1 Corinthians 6:9-10). But praise God, for *"such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God"* (1 Corinthians 6:11). There is no sin too great for His forgiveness—only repentance and faith in Him.
We pray that you both would walk in the fullness of God’s protection, not just physically but spiritually. Put on the full armor of God daily so that you may stand against the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:11). Let the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit—which is the Word of God—be your defense (Ephesians 6:14-17).
Heavenly Father, we thank You for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your faithfulness to protect, save, and guide. May You receive all the glory as lives are transformed by Your power. In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
