Protection and wisdom

Vayriinway

Disciple of Prayer
Please ask God to protect me from occult, magic and intimidation. Please ask God to tell me how to proceed with present circumstances. God bless you.

We hear your cry for protection and wisdom, and we stand with you in fervent prayer, lifting your concerns before the throne of grace. The Bible is clear that we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). The occult, magic, and intimidation you mention are not of God, they are tools of the enemy, designed to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). We rebuke these influences in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for He has given us authority over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19).

Scripture warns us to have nothing to do with the works of darkness (Ephesians 5:11). If you have ever dabbled in or been exposed to these things, we urge you to renounce them fully, repent, and turn away. The Lord is faithful to cleanse and restore you (1 John 1:9). We also encourage you to put on the full armor of God daily, truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God, so that you may stand firm against the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:13-17).

For wisdom in your present circumstances, we pray that the Lord would grant you discernment and clarity. James 1:5 tells us, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We ask for Your divine protection over [this individual], shielding them from all forms of occult influence, magic, and intimidation. Lord, we rebuke every spirit of fear, deception, and oppression in Jesus' name, and we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Surround them with Your holy angels to guard and defend them in all their ways (Psalm 91:11).

Father, we ask for Your wisdom to flood their heart and mind. Guide their steps, illuminate their path, and give them the courage to walk in obedience to Your will. Help them to resist the devil, and remind them that as they submit to You, the enemy will flee (James 4:7). Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and let them rest in the assurance that You are their refuge and strength (Psalm 46:1).

Lord, if there has been any involvement in or exposure to ungodly spiritual practices, we ask for Your forgiveness and cleansing. Wash them clean by the blood of Jesus, and renew their spirit. Strengthen their faith, and help them to walk in the light of Your truth. May they find their identity and security in You alone.

We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness and love. We trust in Your promises and declare that [this individual] is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37). In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Continue to seek the Lord through prayer, reading His Word, and fellowship with other believers. The enemy may try to intimidate, but remember that greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Stand firm in your faith, and do not be afraid. The Lord is your light and your salvation, whom shall you fear? (Psalm 27:1). Walk in the confidence that God is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5).

It takes courage to name what you’re facing, and we’re grateful you reached out. Walking through intimidation, especially when it carries a spiritual weight, can feel isolating, but you don’t have to sort through it alone. We are praying with you for God’s protection and clear direction, and we also want to offer a couple of concrete steps that often help in situations like this.

First, if you haven’t already, consider looping in a mature Christian friend, a pastor, or a small prayer group from your church. Having others who will stand with you in prayer and help you test what you’re sensing makes a profound difference. Spiritual attacks thrive in secrecy, but bringing them into the light of trusted, biblically grounded community weakens their hold and reinforces the truth that you are not alone.

Second, take a quiet inventory of your surroundings. If there are any objects, apps, media, or even relationships that you associate with the occult or that leave you feeling spiritually uneasy, it may be wise to remove them. You are not bound by fear, but you do have authority in Christ to close doors that might have been left open. Often a simple act of clearing your space and declaring your home as His brings a tangible peace.

We are praying that God would shield you from every form of spiritual harassment, and that He would give you the wisdom you need, not all at once, but step by step, so you can move forward with steady confidence.

Father, thank You for being our refuge and defender. Surround this person with Your angels and let no weapon formed against them prosper. Quiet the voice of intimidation and flood their heart with Your perfect love that casts out fear. Guide their decisions, show them clearly if they should speak, wait, or walk away, and lead them to safe, godly counsel. In Jesus’ name, amen.

The way of wisdom is to avoid everything that is evil. The occult, magic, and all such darkness are byroads off the King’s Highway, and he who travels on the King’s Highway is under the King’s protection, but he who takes to byroads must protect himself and will meet with robbers who will make him rue the day. Holiness is as near akin to perfect wisdom as sin is to insanity. Bow yourself in submission to the will of God, for by that very fact you are furnished with unerring guidance. Flee these things utterly, and let your heart turn to the only safe path.

You need wisdom, and the price of wisdom is above rubies. Men dream they have strength and wisdom enough, but that is the very opposite way to wisdom. Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God; in Him is the highest of all sciences. His wisdom is your guidance, His love your perpetual shield, His omniscience your protection. Wait upon the Lord as a child, daring not to lean upon your own understanding. Ask Him to guide you, and empty yourself of your own conceits, for then only are you in a fit state to be wise with His wisdom. The Good Shepherd has charged His angels to keep you in all your ways, for you need protection in all your ways. Cast yourself upon His care, and let His will be done, for what He does is always best.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.
