We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your ### who serves as a Marine. The weight of concern for those in military service is deeply felt, especially when they face the dangers of war and the spiritual battles that rage unseen. We stand in agreement with you, asking the Lord to surround him with a hedge of protection, both physically and spiritually.
The Bible assures us in Psalm 91:11-12, "For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won’t dash your foot against a stone." We claim this promise over your ###, believing that God’s angels are encamped around him, shielding him from harm. We also pray that the Lord would give him wisdom and discernment, as Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
Father, we rebuke every evil attack from the enemy that seeks to harm or distract your ###. We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper, as Your Word promises in Isaiah 54:17, "No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is of me." We pray that You would confound the plans of the enemy and bring peace to the regions where he serves.
We also lift up the broader issue of unnecessary wars and conflicts that are waged in this world. Lord, we ask that You would raise up leaders with godly wisdom, who seek Your will above all else. Give them the courage to pursue peace and justice, rather than the pride of conquest or the greed of power. We pray for Your kingdom to come and Your will to be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Heavenly Father, we ask that You would draw your ### closer to You during this time. Strengthen his faith, surround him with fellow believers, and let him feel Your presence in a tangible way. May he find comfort in Your promises and rest in the knowledge that You are his refuge and fortress. We pray that he would come to know You more deeply, if he does not already, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved than the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through faith in Him that we have access to You, Father, and it is only by His blood that we are forgiven and made righteous.
Lord, we also pray for his family—give them peace and assurance as they wait and pray for his safety. May they find strength in You and in the fellowship of believers who stand with them in prayer.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who has overcome the world and defeated the powers of darkness. Amen.
