Disciple of Prayer
First, I want to say thank you. I come to you today asking for your prayers and support. I have been going through a very difficult season and have been experiencing what feels like spiritual attacks in every area of my family. It feels like my family is no longer the same, and I’m at a point in my life where even praying has become difficult. Please pray for my strength, my protection, and the well-being of my children and me. I have been facing people and situations that have made me feel like my life is being threatened, and I truly need God’s covering, guidance, and peace. Thank you to everyone who takes the time to pray for us. Your prayers mean more than you know.

We hear the deep weariness in your words, and our hearts ache with yours as you walk through this valley of spiritual warfare. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but we stand together with you in the authority of Jesus Christ, who has already overcome the world. You are not alone in this battle, we lift you up before the throne of grace, where our Heavenly Father waits to strengthen and shelter you.

First, we must address the silence in your request regarding the name of Jesus. There is no other name under heaven by which we are saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). The attacks you describe are real, but greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). We rebuke every spirit of fear, confusion, and despair that has tried to choke your faith, and we command them to flee in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. The blood of Jesus covers you and your family, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

We pray now for your protection and the protection of your children. Father God, we ask You to station Your angels around this family, to guard them in all their ways (Psalm 91:11). Shield their minds from lies, their hearts from despair, and their bodies from harm. We declare that no evil shall befall them, nor any plague come near their dwelling (Psalm 91:10). Lord, restore their peace and renew their strength like the eagle’s (Isaiah 40:31). Let them rise above the chaos and walk in the confidence of Your unfailing love.

We also pray for your ability to pray. The enemy seeks to silence your voice because he knows the power of a believer’s prayers. But the Spirit helps us in our weakness, interceding for us when we don’t know what to pray (Romans 8:26). Father, rekindle the fire of prayer in this dear one’s heart. Remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Let them feel Your presence in the stillness, and let their prayers become a sweet fragrance before Your throne.

For the people and situations that have made you feel threatened, we declare that God is your refuge and fortress (Psalm 91:2). We bind every spirit of intimidation and violence in the name of Jesus and command them to loose their grip. The Lord is your light and your salvation, whom shall you fear? (Psalm 27:1). We pray for divine intervention in these circumstances, that God would either remove the threat or give you the wisdom and courage to navigate it with His peace.

Lastly, we pray for the restoration of your family. Father, mend what has been broken, heal what has been wounded, and draw each member closer to You. Let Your love be the foundation that holds them together, and let Your truth be the guide that leads them forward. We declare that this season of attack will not define them, but rather, it will refine them and draw them into a deeper dependence on You.

We stand with you, believing that God will turn this battle into a testimony. Keep pressing into Him, even when it feels hard. The Lord is fighting for you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). You are covered, you are loved, and you are victorious in Christ.

It’s clear you’re in a fight right now, and the fact that prayer itself feels heavy shows just how much you’ve been carrying. We want you to know: that kind of exhaustion doesn’t mean your faith is failing, often it’s a sign you’ve been standing strong in a storm that keeps hitting from every side. Even the prophets and psalmists had seasons where words wouldn’t come and all they could do was groan.

One thing we’ve seen help when someone’s own prayers feel stuck is to lean on the voices around them. You’ve already taken a wise step by reaching out here. Keep letting others carry you in prayer for a while. If there’s a trusted friend, a small group at church, or a pastor you can be honest with, don’t face this alone, having someone pray aloud with you or just sit with you can break some of that isolation. Even a simple worship song playing in the background while you go about your day can be a prayer when your own words won’t form. Music has a way of anchoring our hearts in truth when our minds are too weary to focus.

For your children, you don’t have to have it all together; simply speak Jesus’ name over them each day, even in a whisper. That is a covering, and it’s real.

Father, in Jesus’ name, we lift up this mother and her children. Surround them with your protection and push back every threat, seen and unseen. Give her strength when she feels none, and peace that stands guard over her heart and mind. Raise up safe people to walk alongside her, and let her feel your nearness even in silence. Amen.

The state of peace must be established between your soul and God before any calm can reign within. You speak of spiritual attack, of a family no longer the same, of difficulty even in prayer, yet the first question is not the tumult around you but your standing before the Most High. "Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God." No peace comes before justification; no respite is found while sin remains unpardoned. Have you fled to Christ alone? Has the blood of Jesus whispered peace within your conscience? If not, all other shelter is a refuge of lies, the horrible peace of death and presumption. But if you are His, then hear this: the infinite God has thoughts of peace towards you, and they are only known perfectly to Himself. His thoughts toward His people are always thoughts of peace, He is at peace with them through the atoning blood, and He designs their highest good.

Your prayer has become difficult, your strength seems gone. This is the very moment to cry, "Lord, increase my faith." Do not resolve in your own strength to believe more, for that will end in a decaying state. Breathe the prayer instead. When the leap is too wide, draw back, ask for strength, and then leap. Our Lord taught the disciples that faith must be joined with prayer and a forgiving spirit, prayer that becomes fervent, that grows into a passionate cry. Continue much in prayer even when you get no present comfort. Do not abandon the mercy seat because you feel no liberty there. Persist. Follow up your petitions with effort: "Knock, and it shall be opened unto you." The very act of waiting upon the Lord is the secret of renewing your strength. They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles. This is a promise, and what He promises to give it is our duty to seek.

The threats you feel, the sorrows surging round, the loved ones in turmoil, these are not signs that He has forsaken you. He is refining you. The fangs of the serpent are extracted when your will is brought to delight in God’s will. You ask for covering and guidance for your children and yourself: then take hold of this truth, that God’s memorial is that He hears prayer. Let the Temple, Christ Himself, be your token. Even if you have walked at a distance from Him, return. If some unconfessed sin blocks your peace, say, "Lord, I did thus and so," and find forgiveness and rest. The great peace of those who love God’s law is a peace that can exist when strife rages all around, a restfulness of mind and heart fixed on Jesus. Keep your mind stayed on Him, trusting Him. There is perfect peace in doing the will of Jesus, bearing your sorrow with Him, knowing that in His keeping you and your children are safe.

See God’s work in your own heart. He has taught you from your youth, and you remain His pupil. Cry out to Him with the intensity of real pain, not stately language but the natural cry of need. Has He in anger shut up His tender mercies? Can it be so? Was it ever so to any of God’s people? Cast yourself upon Him. The sound of abundance of rain is heard when God’s men live for Him fully. Lay hold upon the Invisible in prayer, rededicate yourself to the Lord who bought you, and your strength shall be restored. Cease from the vain hope of peace with the workers of iniquity or the ways of this world. Your Savior was crucified here; peace with those who hate you for His sake is not the peace He gives. He gives His own peace, peace gleaming with heavenly light even in the midnight of this world of care.

You speak of feeling that your life is threatened and your family under spiritual attack. In such trials, we are reminded that the enemy often strikes when we are alone, as he did with Eve in the garden, and so we must not isolate ourselves but cling to the fellowship of the church and cry out to God, even when words fail. The very struggle to pray shows that the Spirit is interceding within you, and the groanings of your heart are not hidden from the Lord. But do not let fear drive you into solitude; band together with those who can uphold you, for the devil fears the united prayers of the faithful.

Yet consider this: the peace that Christ gives is not always the soft comfort the world imagines. Sometimes it comes only when the diseased part is cut off, when the mutinous is removed, so that true peace may be restored. Examine your household, are there sins cherished, or alliances that dishonor God? If the discord you feel is a merciful alarm, do not hesitate to sever whatever offends, for holiness is the only path to seeing the Lord. But if you stand firm and the attacks are for righteousness’ sake, then take heart: the enemy can only threaten, and his blows are the bluster of one already defeated.

Remember Paul’s example. He bore daily insults and dangers not by his own power but by the strength of Christ that enabled him. In the same way, when you feel weak, then you are strong, provided you do not trust in yourself but lean wholly on the God of love and peace. Strive to be of one mind in your home, to live in peace with all men so far as it depends on you, and God Himself will be with you. His peace is not the absence of trouble; it is the unshakable calm of a soul anchored in Him, a peace that the world cannot take away.

Therefore, do not be dismayed by threats. The wicked may conspire, but their evil peace is worse than war, and it will be shattered by the truth. Cling to the cross, pursue holiness, and let no root of bitterness spring up among you. As you do, the angels who watch over the faithful will encamp around you, and the God who reconciled heaven and earth will cover you and your children under the shadow of His wings. He is faithful; He will bring you through.

When the attacks come and prayer itself feels beyond your reach, you are not alone in that. Nehemiah faced a flood of ridicule, threats, and exhaustion, yet his first reflex was always a simple turning to God. Not always lengthy, eloquent prayers, often just a brief cry from the heart. That is still prayer, and in seasons where words fail, even a whispered “Hear, O our God” is enough. Do not let the weight of the moment convince you that your prayers must be long to be effective. The very act of bringing your need before the Father, however brokenly, shifts your focus from the size of the enemy to the faithfulness of your God.

Notice too that Nehemiah did not just pray and stop. He prayed, and then he set a watch day and night. Prayer is never an excuse for passivity; it is the posture that fuels wise, responsible action. The same God who is your shelter also gives you practical wisdom to guard your family. Ask Him for both. There is no contradiction between crying out for protection and taking prudent steps to secure your home and your loved ones. That is not presumption, it is the partnership of prayer and watchfulness.

Your feeling that your strength has decayed is exactly where the Lord meets you. David, even in old age, prayed, “Forsake me not when my strength fails,” and he learned that his true refuge was not his own inner reserves but God Himself. When you cannot muster the will to pray, lean into that weakness and ask the Holy Spirit to intercede for you and to bring to your mind the specific needs of your children and yourself. Praying in the Spirit means trusting Him to carry the burden when you cannot frame the words.

It is also crucial to recognize that what you are facing is a spiritual assault, not merely difficult people or circumstances. Once you identify it as such, you stop flailing at shadows and begin wielding the weapon God has given you. Prayer in these moments becomes a spiritual force, pushing back the darkness rather than just complaining about it. The purpose is not to get your will done, but to align yourself with God’s will, and His will for you and your children is peace, covering, and deliverance from the enemy. He wants to do this more than you want to receive it, and prayer opens the door.

When David cried out, “Make haste, O God, to deliver me,” he was in a time of betrayal and mortal danger. Yet by the end of that same psalm, his focus had shifted from the terror of his problem to the strength of his God. That is the journey prayer takes you on. Bring the threats, the exhaustion, and the fractured feeling in your family straight to the Lord. As you do, you will find that He becomes your strong tower, your covering wings. You will move from an attitude of defeat into the quiet confidence that He has already promised you victory. The battle is real, but so is your Father.

We want to thank you for the trust you placed in us by sharing your heart and allowing us to stand with you in prayer during this challenging season. It has been our privilege to lift you, your family, and your children before the Lord, asking for His mighty protection, strength, and peace to surround you like a shield. We have prayed for the spiritual attacks to be broken in Jesus’ Name, for God’s guidance to lead you through every difficult situation, and for His presence to fill your home with comfort and restoration.

If the Lord has answered these prayers in ways you can see—if you’ve experienced His peace, protection, or a shift in the atmosphere around you—we would be overjoyed to hear your praise report. Your testimony could be an encouragement to others walking through similar trials. On the other hand, if the battle still feels heavy and the answers haven’t yet come, please don’t hesitate to post this request again. We are committed to continuing in prayer with you, standing firm in faith that God hears and will move on your behalf.

May the Lord bless you with renewed strength as you seek Him. May He draw near to you in ways that remind you of His unfailing love and power. We pray that His peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus, and that you will feel His covering over your family in every area of your lives. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
