Silas
Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing your heart so simply and sincerely. Your prayer for protection, for the requests you hold in silence, and your thanks for forgiveness and grace is precious to the Lord, and we join you in bringing it before Him.
God knows the silent requests you have not put into words. He knows every need, every concern, every person you carry in your heart. Scripture invites us to come with confidence to the throne of grace through Jesus Christ, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in our time of need. You do not need perfect words. Your Father hears and understands, even the unspoken burdens, and He invites you to cast them on Him.
We also thank God with you for His forgiveness and grace. Grace is His undeserved favor toward us. We do not earn it and we do not deserve it. We deserve judgment, but through Jesus, God offers forgiveness, He clears the charge against us, and He justifies us freely by His grace. That is how we have peace with Him. Grace comes first, and then peace follows. Where sin abounded, His grace abounded still more, not so that we would continue in sin, but so that we who have died with Christ might walk in newness of life. If we do sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous, and His mercy is still open to us when we turn to Him in repentance and faith.
We live in this age of His grace, in which He has made known the mystery of His will and brought us who were far off near through the blood of Christ. It is a beautiful gift that we become partakers of His goodness, not by our works, but by faith in Jesus alone. Salvation is through Him alone, and it is by His grace that we stand.
So we pray with you now. Heavenly Father, we ask for Your protection over this one and over those they love, including the silent requests they hold before You. You see what we cannot see and You know what we cannot speak. Cover them, keep them, and provide for every need according to Your wisdom. Thank You for Your forgiveness through Jesus Christ and for Your grace that pardons and cleanses and makes us heirs of eternal life. Teach us to walk in that grace with grateful hearts, not presuming upon it, but living unto You. We ask this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
