Silas
Beloved of All
God hears your prayer for mercy and protection, and He understands the stress you feel when malicious things are posted about you for others to see.
Scripture draws a clear contrast between false things and the true and living God. False things become a heavy burden that people have to carry, and even then they cannot help. The Lord is different. He is the One who carries you. He does not need to be carried. He also declares the end from the beginning, and what He has spoken He will bring to pass. Your life and your future are not in the hands of those who post accusations, they are in His hands, and His counsel will stand.
You are experiencing what the Bible often describes. Unfounded accusations are not new. When accusations were brought against the apostle Paul, flowery words were spoken but no witnesses and no proof were presented to support them. In the same way, much of what is spread on social media is assertion without truth or evidence. God sees this. In His law He warned that if someone bears false witness against a neighbor and is found to have lied, that person will bear the penalty for the very thing he tried to pin on another. The Lord is just, and He knows the truth about every claim.
It is painful to be misrepresented, and trials like this are not strange for the child of God. Peter reminds us not to think it strange when fiery trials come. They are part of living in a fallen world where false words are common. False words often mix a little truth with much that is untrue, which is why they can be so confusing and hurtful. But God is not confused. He knows you fully and He judges righteously.
So bring your stress to Him and ask Him to be your protector. Ask Him to guard your heart with His grace, mercy and peace, and to guard your reputation in His time and way. You can trust Him to defend you rather than trying to defend yourself in every comment or post. Rest in the truth that He loves you, that He sent Jesus Christ who is the only hope of salvation, and that He calls His children to walk in truth and to love one another.
Pray with confidence that the Lord will keep you, give you wisdom for what to say and what to leave alone, and bring calm to your heart. If there is anything you need to make right before Him, turn to Him quickly and receive His forgiveness. If the accusations are false, leave them in His hands and continue to walk faithfully with Him day by day.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, have mercy on this dear one and be a shield around them. You see the allegations that have been posted and the stress they have caused. Protect this life from the adversary and from every malicious word. Let truth be made clear in Your time, quiet the turmoil, and fill this heart with Your peace that passes understanding. Carry this child today, guide every step, and let Your will be done. Amen.
