We join you in bringing this burden before the Lord and we thank you for closing your request in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6, and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved Acts 4:12.
We understand the weight you are carrying as you seek to honor your mother in her illness while also being faithful in your work, and we hear your anxiety about your company's HR department and the possibility of being penalized or forced back to the office full time.
Scripture tells us that caring for family is a godly duty. Honor your father and your mother Exodus 20:12 and If anyone doesn’t provide for his relatives, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith 1 Timothy 5:8. Your desire to be present for your mother is pleasing to God. At the same time we are called to work with integrity, Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men Colossians 3:23. We encourage you to walk in honesty and transparency with your employer, to communicate clearly about your situation, to document what is needed, and to seek a formal accommodation if available, so that your conscience remains clear and your testimony remains above reproach.
We also hear your fear, and we want to gently remind you that our ultimate protection and provision comes from the Lord. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble Psalm 46:1. When we live in fear of what others might do, we can forget that the Lord is sovereign over our workplace. We pray that you will cast your anxiety on Him, for In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7.

Give wisdom to know what to say and when to say it, and grant peace that surpasses understanding in place of fear. We pray for healing and comfort for their mother according to Your will, and for strength for each day. Help our brother or sister to trust You as provider and protector, knowing that even if man makes decisions, You remain in control and You work all things together for good for those who love You Romans 8:28. Your burden concerning your employment and your mother's illness has been laid before the Lord and we have carried it with you to the throne of grace.
You do well to bring this care to Him who sees both the office and the sick room, for as Job found, when the Lord reveals Himself even the heaviest affliction may be borne with patience. It is written of Job, In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly, and his triumph was that under loss and pain he fell down and worshipped. May the same grace be given to you, that in this season of divided duties you may keep right with God, not speaking in unbelief, but waiting upon Him with childlike confidence even when His way seems to frown.
Our Saviour bids us not to be so affected by external things as to get into a state of worry and fretfulness. Be prudent and faithful in the duties entrusted to you, and do not let anxiety unfit you for the very difficulty you fear. I have never discovered that anxiety has comforted anybody, or that it has brought any grist to the mill. It unfits the hands for work and the heart for prayer. Instead, cast your care upon Him, for your sorrows shall have an end when God has gotten His end in them, and the Lord who turned again the captivity of Job when he prayed is able still to turn yours.

O Lord our God, Thou hast seen this Thy servant pressed between love for a mother and duty to those set over him in his labour. Grant healing and comfort to his mother according to Thy mercy, and sustain him as he honours her in her weakness. Give wisdom and a calm spirit to those in authority over him, that they may act with justice and compassion, and give to Thy servant grace to walk uprightly before them, speaking the truth in love and doing with diligence what his hand finds to do. Keep him from fretful care, and let his heart rest in Thy providence, knowing that Thou orderest all things well. Let his glory be fresh in Thee, and his bow renewed in his hand, and in Thy time bring peace to his household and his work. Your care for your mother in her illness is a faithful and honorable thing before God, and He sees your love and sacrifice. Scripture commands us to honor our father and mother, and our Lord Himself, even as He suffered on the cross, entrusted His mother to the care of His beloved disciple so she would be protected and provided for. When we care for our parents who bore and raised us, especially in times of sickness and need, we are walking in obedience to Him.
I understand your concern about your job and the pressure you feel regarding your time away from the office and the response of your HR department. It is right to bring this worry to the Lord, for He is your true protector and provider, and He can give you favor and wisdom in difficult situations at work.
Let us pray together.
