TO CHANGE MY JOB TO MY PREVIOUS DEPARTMENT

I ### would like to pray to our Lord Jesus , so that i could return back to my previous department that i have worked for ### years. My skill and talent is needed there. I have been trying for almost ### years but could not return back due to obstacles. May lord Jesus guide me safely to my previous department. If there is anything that is not right for me there, may Lord Jesus clear the path and remove anything that is hindering me towards my previous department. As i wait , please do pray a for a miracle to take place and may i return back as soon as possible. Amen.

We hear your heartfelt request and join you in bringing this matter before our Heavenly Father, who holds all things in His hands. It is clear you feel called to return to your previous department, believing your skills and talents are needed there. We lift this up to the Lord, asking for His perfect will to be done in your career and life.

The Bible reminds us in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." While your desire to return is strong, we must surrender this to God, trusting that He knows what is best for you. If it is His will for you to return, He will open the doors and remove every obstacle. If not, He has a greater purpose for you elsewhere.

We also encourage you to seek the Lord’s wisdom in this season of waiting. James 1:5-6 tells us, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, without any doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, driven by the wind and tossed." Ask God to reveal His plans for you and to give you patience and peace as you wait.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this dear one who seeks to return to their previous department. Lord, You know the desires of their heart, and You know where their skills and talents are most needed. We ask that You would guide them according to Your perfect will. If it is Your plan for them to return, we pray that You would clear every obstacle, open every door, and make their path straight. If it is not Your will, we ask that You would reveal Your greater purpose for them and give them peace in the waiting.

Father, we also ask that You would grant them wisdom and discernment as they navigate this season. Help them to trust in You fully, knowing that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28). Strengthen their faith and fill them with hope as they wait on You. We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we rebuke any spirit of delay or confusion that may be hindering their progress.

Lord, we thank You for Your faithfulness and for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your timing and Your plans, knowing that they are good. May this dear one experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) as they wait on You. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

In the meantime, we encourage you to remain faithful where you are. Colossians 3:23-24 reminds us, "And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ." Even if your current role is not where you ultimately desire to be, serve with excellence, knowing that God sees your faithfulness and will reward you.

Continue to seek the Lord in prayer and in His Word, and trust that He is guiding your steps. If it is His will for you to return to your previous department, He will make a way. If not, He has something even better prepared for you. Either way, you can rest in the assurance that God is in control.

Ask what the actual requirements or concerns have been for the transfer, and listen for anything you can clarify, learn, or address. Writing down what you hear can bring clarity as you continue to pray about whether this move is the Lord's best next step for you, and it can help you continue to serve faithfully where you are now.

Father, we lift our brother to You in Jesus' name. You know his desire to return and the obstacles he has faced. Guide his steps, open the right door in Your timing, and close what is not for his good. Give him wisdom, favor, and quiet trust as he waits, and let him know Your nearness each day. Amen.

Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. We have heard your earnest desire and we join with you in bringing it before the throne of grace. You have labored faithfully for years in that former department, and you feel that the gifts God has entrusted to you could be well employed there again. For almost years you have sought an open door and have met with obstacles, and now you ask that the Lord Jesus would guide you, clear the path, and remove what hinders if it be His gracious will.

We take comfort in remembering Job, of whom it is written that in all his affliction he sinned not nor charged God foolishly. He waited under heavy trial, and though he could not see the purpose of his sorrows, he bowed in worship and trusted the hand that afflicted him. In due time it is written, The Lord turned the captivity of Job when he prayed for his friends. Your longest sorrows have a close, and there is a bottom to the deepest trial, for our God reigns and His providence still maintains the glory of His people.

Let us pray together that you may be kept in patient trust while you wait. We do not overcome the Lord by demanding our own way, but by looking to the Lord Jesus Christ for all things, by casting ourselves upon Him as our familiar Friend who ever lives to intercede. If this return be for your good and for His glory, He can remove hindrances with a word, for no obstacle is too great for Him. If there be anything not right for you there, we pray that He in His wisdom would make it plain and keep you from a path that would not profit your soul.

We pray thus: O Lord Jesus Christ, our living Redeemer, Thou knowest the desire of this Thy servant. Thou hast given skill and talent, and Thou hast appointed every station of our service. If it be Thy will, open the door to the former department and make the way plain. Remove what hinders, guide every step, and let no scheme of man nor device of the enemy prevail against Thy purpose. Grant patience in waiting, freshness of heart, and contentment to abide in Thy will. Help Thy servant to pray also for others even in this season of waiting, and to find strength in communion with Thee. We ask not for our will but Thine be done, and we trust Thy goodness to provide what is best, whether by granting this request or by leading in another way that shall more display Thy grace. Hear us for Thy name's sake. Amen.

Be encouraged to continue in prayer, to walk faithfully where you are now placed, and to leave the timing and the outcome in the hands of Him who does all things well.

Your prayer has been heard and I join you in bringing it before our Lord Jesus Christ. You have waited almost years with a sincere desire to return to the department where you served for years and where you feel your skills and talents are most needed, and you have faced repeated obstacles. It is right to bring this longing to God and to ask for His guidance.

Scripture shows us that God often allows obstacles to remain for a time to strengthen our faith. Abraham hoped against hope, with his own body as good as dead and the womb of Sarah dead, and yet he trusted God who had promised. In the same way, your perseverance through these hindrances can become a testimony of trust. While you wait, continue to show faith as those who climbed the mountain though they were lame, and cast themselves at the feet of Jesus, wanting nothing else but His mercy. Be faithful and diligent where God has placed you now, using the gifts He has given you for His glory, and remember that our true house and treasure are in heaven, where no lock or door is needed and where nothing can be lost or corrupted. Whatever place God gives us on earth, we are to store up our hope there.

Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You for this child of Yours. You know the desire to return to the former department and the years of effort and disappointment. Lord, if it is Your will and for good, we ask You to clear the path, remove what hinders, and open the doors that no man can shut. Guide every step and grant favor with those who make decisions. If there is anything in that place that would not be right or helpful, make it plain and lead to what is better. While waiting, grant patience, peace, and a miracle according to Your perfect wisdom and timing. Let Your will be done, and let Your name be glorified in this work and in all of life. Amen.

Your longing to return to the department where you served for years and where you know your skills and talents are needed is heard, and I have prayed for you to our Lord Jesus.

The story of Job is a help here. That book is very old, perhaps older than Genesis in its writing though it describes a time near Abraham, and it shows that while cultures and times change, the deep needs and questions of the human heart remain the same. What troubled Job still troubles us, and the cries he lifted about the deepest issues of life are familiar to us when we face long waiting and closed doors.

Scripture gives us a view behind the scenes that Job and his friends did not have. God Himself spoke well of Job as a man who loved Him and turned from evil. The enemy had been watching Job closely, studying him and forming a theory that Job only served God because God had placed a hedge around him and blessed him with much. God allowed that hedge to be tested, not because He had forsaken Job, but to show something true about faith that looks beyond blessings.

When everything was taken and Job sat in pain, his friends came but did not comfort him well. One said a person only suffers if he has done wrong. Another used pictures and proverbs to call Job a hypocrite and tell him to get right with God and all would be well. A third rebuked him sharply. Job answered that he knew God is fair and just, yet he did not understand what God was doing and he cried out with grief that felt heavier than sand. Those cries were honest expressions of pain, not settled doctrine about life and death, and God later showed that those friends had spoken wrongly about Him.

What happened to Job is given to comfort us who come after him. It teaches us that God is at work even when it appears He has forgotten us, and that obstacles and delay do not automatically mean you have done something wrong or that God is displeased. God is just and He sees you, your years of faithful work, your desire to use what He has given you, and the hindrances that have kept you from returning for a long time.

So I pray with you that the Lord Jesus will guide you clearly. If it is His good and wise will for you to return to that previous department, ask Him to clear the path and remove what is hindering you, and to open the door in His perfect timing. If there is something there that would not be right or good for you, ask Him to make that plain as well and to redirect you according to His better knowledge. Waiting is hard, especially after years of trying, but acquainting yourself with Him and receiving His word with a quiet heart brings peace while you wait, and it keeps you from thinking that blessing alone proves His favor.

May the Lord give you patience and trust as Job learned to trust without full understanding, and may He work in a way that leaves no doubt that the answer, whether it is a return or a different direction, comes from His hand. I ask Jesus to do a gracious work for you, to guard you and guide you safely, and to provide what is best for you soon according to His mercy and wisdom. Amen.
