We join with you in bringing this need for productivity before the Lord and we thank you for allowing us to pray with you.
We know that God cares about how we steward our time and our work, for all that we do is to be done for His glory. Scripture reminds us, Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, Colossians 3:23. We are also taught, He becomes poor who works with a lazy hand, but the hand of the diligent brings wealth, Proverbs 10:4, and The plans of the diligent surely lead to profit; and everyone who is hasty surely rushes to poverty, Proverbs 21:5. God desires diligence from us, not driven by anxious striving or worldly ambition, but by faithful stewardship.
We encourage you to commit your work to the Lord first. Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed, Proverbs 16:3. When we seek Him first and invite Him into our schedules, our priorities become clearer. We are exhorted to walk wisely, Therefore watch carefully how you walk, not as unwise, but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil, Ephesians 5:15-16. This means asking for wisdom to discern what is most important, to plan diligently, to work with might as in Ecclesiastes 9:10, Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might, and also to rest well, trusting that it is God who establishes the work of our hands. If you are feeling overwhelmed, distracted, or weary, we encourage you to ask God for wisdom, for He gives generously to those who ask, James 1:5, and to set clear, godly priorities, guarding your time from what distracts and drains, while remaining faithful in the small things.
We notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to gently share that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. There is no other name by which we can be saved and no other way to come boldly into God's presence. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6, and it is written, There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 1 Timothy 2:5. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, confessing Him as Lord, for Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved, Romans 10:13. It is in His name we pray.
We pray together for you now. Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and lift up this dear one to You. Lord, You know the desire for greater productivity and the struggles that hinder it. Grant wisdom and clarity to order each day according to Your will. Help us to redeem the time, to work diligently and faithfully as unto You, and to rest in Your grace rather than striving in our own strength. Remove laziness, distraction, and discouragement, and fill this heart with purpose, discipline, and joy in the work You have given. Establish the work of our hands and let all that is done bear fruit for Your glory. Give strength for what needs to be done today and peace to trust You with what remains. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, Amen.
