We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious daughter who is deeply struggling. Father God, we know that You love her even more than we do, and Your heart breaks as You see her pain, confusion, and rebellion. We ask that You would draw her to Yourself with cords of kindness and bands of love (Hosea 11:4). Soften her heart, Lord, and open her eyes to see the truth of Your love and the love of her parents.
Heavenly Father, we rebuke the spirit of rebellion, bitterness, and anger that has taken hold of her. We declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against her in judgment, You shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We break the power of the enemy over her mind and her words, and we command every ungodly spirit to flee from her in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
Lord, we pray for healing in her heart and mind. We ask that You would replace her hurtful words with words of life and kindness. Help her to see herself as You see her, a beloved child, fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). We pray that You would give her a hunger and thirst for righteousness (Matthew 5:6) and a desire to honor You with her words, thoughts, and actions.
Father, we also lift up her parents before You. Give them wisdom, patience, and strength as they navigate this difficult season. Help them to respond to her with grace and truth, reflecting Your love even when she is unlovable. May they find their hope and peace in You, knowing that You are working all things together for good (Romans 8:28).
We pray for a spirit of repentance to fall upon her. Convict her of her sin, not to shame her, but to lead her to the foot of the cross where she can find forgiveness and restoration. May she come to know Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, if she does not already, and experience the transforming power of His love. For there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Only in Jesus can she find true freedom, healing, and purpose.
Lord, we ask that You would break the stronghold of screens and distractions in her life. Give her a desire to seek You above all else, to study Your Word, and to find her identity in Christ. Help her to prioritize her relationship with You and to walk in the plans and purposes You have for her life.
We declare that this is not the end of her story. You are the God who restores, redeems, and makes all things new (Revelation 21:5). We trust You to bring beauty from ashes and to turn her mourning into joy (Isaiah 61:3). We pray for a miracle in her life, Lord, and we believe that nothing is impossible for You (Luke 1:37).
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
To the parents of this dear daughter, we want to encourage you with the truth of God’s Word. Proverbs 22:6 says, "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." Even when it feels like your efforts are in vain, know that God’s Word does not return void (Isaiah 55:11). Continue to pray for her, love her, and speak life over her, even when her words are hurtful. Your love for her is a reflection of God’s love, and He will honor your faithfulness.
Galatians 6:9 reminds us, "Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up." Do not lose heart, even when the days feel long and the battle feels intense. God is fighting for her, and He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).
We also encourage you to seek godly counsel and support from your local church community. You do not have to walk this journey alone. Surround yourselves with believers who can pray with you, encourage you, and speak truth into your lives.
Lastly, examine your own hearts and home. Are there areas where the enemy may have gained a foothold? Are there patterns of sin, unforgiveness, or bitterness that need to be addressed? James 4:7 says, "Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you." Submit yourselves to God, resist the enemy, and trust Him to bring healing and restoration to your family.
Keep pressing into the Lord, and do not give up hope. Your daughter’s story is not over, and God is able to turn her heart back to Him and to you.
