Pregnancy

Disciple of Prayer
A week or two ago I made a request regarding my beta that was not rising as it should. I would like to thank all those who prayed! The levels started to rise better. I have an ultrasound scheduled in the next few days and would appreciate ongoing prayers that all will be okay at the ultrasound and then beyond that. Thank you very much!

We rejoice with you in the answered prayer of your beta levels beginning to rise as they should! This is a testament to the power of persistent prayer and the faithfulness of our Heavenly Father, who hears and responds to the cries of His children. We continue to stand with you in this season, lifting you up before the throne of grace with even greater fervency as you approach your ultrasound.

The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart and saves those who have a contrite spirit (Psalm 34:18). We know the waiting and uncertainty can weigh heavily on your heart, but we encourage you to fix your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). He is the One who knits together life in the secret place (Psalm 139:13-16) and holds your little one in His sovereign hands. Trust in His perfect timing and His unfailing love, for He works all things together for the good of those who love Him (Romans 8:28).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the way You have already moved in this precious life. We thank You for the rising beta levels and for the hope that stirs within us. Lord, we ask that You would go before this ultrasound, calming every fear and anxiety with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). We pray that the ultrasound would reveal a healthy, growing baby, firmly implanted in the womb, with a strong and steady heartbeat. Father, we ask for wisdom and discernment for the medical team, that they would see clearly and provide the best possible care.

Lord, we declare that this child is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14) and that You have a purpose and plan for their life. We speak life, health, and strength over this little one, rebuking any spirit of fear or doubt that would seek to steal, kill, or destroy (John 10:10). We stand on Your promises, Lord, and declare that no weapon formed against this pregnancy shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We trust in Your goodness and Your faithfulness, knowing that You are the Giver of life and the Sustainer of all things.

Father, we ask that You would continue to strengthen and encourage this mother’s heart. Fill her with Your joy and peace as she waits, and let her feel the comfort of Your presence surrounding her like a warm embrace. Remind her that she is not alone, for You are with her always (Matthew 28:20). We pray for her faith to grow deeper roots in You, and for her to experience the fullness of Your love in this season.

Lord, we also pray for the father of this child, that he would be a source of strength, support, and godly leadership. Unite this family in prayer and purpose, drawing them closer to You and to one another. May this journey deepen their trust in You and their reliance on Your Word.

We commit this pregnancy into Your hands, Lord, and we ask that You would be glorified through every step of this journey. May Your name be praised, whether in the waiting, the rejoicing, or the trusting. We ask all of this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Continue to meditate on God’s Word and stand on His promises. Remember that He is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Lean on Him, and allow His peace to guard your heart and mind. We will continue to pray with you and for you, trusting that the Lord will complete the good work He has begun in you and in this child’s life (Philippians 1:6). You are not alone in this, we are standing with you, believing for God’s best.

We are so grateful to hear that your levels began to rise, and we join you in thanking God for that encouragement. It’s a joy to carry your request with you into these next days.

Waiting for an ultrasound can feel like a very long stretch of time. So many thoughts rush in during the silence between appointments. We want you to know you are not sitting in that waiting room alone. Others are holding this hope with you.

What we’ve seen again and again is that thanksgiving like yours has a way of steadying us for what comes next. You’ve already tasted God’s goodness in this journey, and that memory is a real comfort as you look toward the scan. Hope isn’t something we muster up by trying harder; it grows as we remember the ways God has already met us. Right now, that looks like a number that rose, a community that prayed, and the life you carry still growing.

As the appointment approaches, we pray your heart stays anchored there, to the goodness you’ve already seen, rather than tossed around by what you can’t yet know. Whatever the screen shows, you are held.

Please join us as we pray:

Father, thank You for the life this mom carries and for the good news of rising levels. Hold her steady now, calm her heart, quiet her fears, and fill her mind with peace that doesn’t make sense apart from You. We ask for a healthy, growing baby and a reassuring ultrasound, and we ask for grace to face whatever the days ahead bring. In Jesus’ name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

What joy it is to hear that the Lord has inclined His ear to the petitions of His people! The report of those improving levels is a mercy for which thanksgiving rises like incense. Now as you face the days ahead and the appointed ultrasound, remember the testimony of David: "What time I am afraid, I will trust in You." Fear not the shadows that uncertainty casts; trust in the living God, who is not a distant observer but a present help in trouble.

You must not trust in your own feelings, nor in the mere visible signs, as though your peace depended upon them. True trust rests entirely upon Him. Cast yourself wholly upon Christ, sink or swim, live or die, He will not fail you. He who has begun this good work in the secret place will carry it through. Though the path be hidden, the outcome is in hands too wise to err, too loving to be unkind.

Continue in prayer, for we have a God with a great, warm, loving heart, who works in temporal things as surely as in spiritual. I commend you to a life of trust in Him: it will keep you from anxious fretting and from sinful shortcuts. May the peace of God garrison your heart, and may you soon declare with Isaiah, "I will trust, and not be afraid." The Lord bless you and keep you; He will perfect that which concerns you.

The very frame of a woman with child is a testimony to the bonds of nature, a weight permitted by God that renders the soul both tender and burdened. Do not marvel that these days are heavy with watching and waiting, for even the holy women of old knew such anxieties, held by the tie of feeling for that which they have not yet beheld. Yet here is the school for your soul. When you approach the physician’s table for the ultrasound, do so as one who has learned to see beyond appearances. The instruments of man may look for the partial health of the body, but He who formed all things in the womb works a whole and complete will. Your hope must not rest upon a rising number or the image on a screen, for these things are the shadow and not the substance.

Consider the poor and the maimed who gather at the threshold of every holy place. God has ordained their presence as a mirror for the soul, that the healthy might not be highminded on account of their strength, and that the anxious might receive instruction. Your own fear shows you the frailty of every earthly condition. There is no stable health in this life; the strong become weak, and the weak are delivered from their infirmity when it pleases the Lord. Therefore, make provision for the body with sober care, for the stomach’s sake and the child’s nourishment, but make no provision to feed the lust of fear and grasping control. That flame only lights up a furnace of torment where faith should breathe calmly.

The holy things of God, His peace, His governance of the womb, His very life, are for those who are prepared. Do not come to this spiritual trial carelessly, as if a routine examination were the master of your joy. Instead, approach in the manner of that woman who dared not stand boldly, but crept near in secret to touch the hem of His garment. She saw the house of sinners from which He came and yet took courage, saying, “If I may only touch, I shall be whole.” She did not demand a public sign or a visible promise; she laid hold of His mercy with a hidden hand of faith. You have already touched that hem in the prayers of the saints, and you have seen a beginning of mercy in the levels that rose. Now, press on further.

Do not let the ultrasound become a day of judgment where you forget the forty days of a soul’s recovery for a single hour of sight. Earthly deliverances are fleeting, but the salvation wrought by patience endures. Whether the news be what the world calls good or a call to deeper sorrow, the one who stands must take heed lest she fall, and the one who is cast down must arise. Use this waiting, then, as discipline for the world to come. When you sit in that room, among the puffed-up glories of modern knowledge, be the soul who carries the remedies of Scripture within. Let your calm hope be a physician to others, showing that you desire health but worship the Giver of it. For whether the child is seen or hidden, you have already entrusted it to the same hands that were stretched upon the Wood, and He will raise up what is wholly undone according to the fashion that is best.
