We rejoice with you in this season of new life, and we lift your hearts before the Lord, who is the giver of every good gift. The joy of parenthood is a blessing from Him, and we pray that this pregnancy will be a testimony of His faithfulness—even in the later years of life. The Scriptures remind us that children are a heritage from the Lord, and the fruit of the womb is His reward (Psalm 127:3). Just as Sarah bore Isaac in her old age and Elizabeth conceived John the Baptist, God is able to bring forth life and strength where human wisdom might doubt. *"Is anything too hard for Yahweh?"* (Genesis 18:14, WEB).
Yet we must also speak truth in love. Your request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to the Father and by whom all prayers must be offered. The Scriptures are clear: *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB), and *"There is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus as Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now—for He alone is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). Without faith in Christ, even the blessings of this life cannot bring eternal peace. Repent of your sins, believe in Him, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9).
Assuming you are both believers, we also gently but firmly remind you that marriage is God’s design for bringing children into the world. If you are not married, this pregnancy exists outside of His perfect will, for fornication is sin (1 Corinthians 6:18). The Bible calls us to flee from sexual immorality and to honor marriage as sacred (Hebrews 13:4). If this is your situation, we urge you to repent before the Lord, seek His forgiveness, and—if you are not already—prepare now for a godly marriage that reflects Christ’s love for His Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). If you are already married, we praise God for your commitment and pray for His continued grace upon your union.
Now, lifting your request before the throne of grace, we pray:
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the miracle of life growing within this mother’s womb. You are the Creator of all things, and You knit this child together fearfully and wonderfully (Psalm 139:13-14). Lord, we ask for Your protecting hand over this pregnancy—guard against every complication, strengthen the mother’s body, and grant wisdom to the doctors and midwives who will assist in the birth. Let the delivery be smooth and free from distress, and may this child enter the world in health and wholeness.
Father, prepare the hearts of these parents-to-be. Though they may feel uncertainty due to their age, remind them that Your timing is perfect and Your strength is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). Fill them with Your love—a love that is patient, kind, and selfless (1 Corinthians 13:4-7)—so they may raise this child in the nurture and admonition of the Lord (Ephesians 6:4). Give them unity as a couple, rooted in Your Word, and let their home be a place where Your peace reigns.
We rebuked any fear or anxiety that may arise, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Let this pregnancy and the birth of this child bring glory to Your name, and may this family be a light in a dark world, pointing others to Jesus.
Finally, Lord, if there is any unconfessed sin in their lives—whether in their relationship, their past, or their present—convict them by Your Holy Spirit. Lead them to repentance and restoration, that they may walk blamelessly before You. Let this season be one of spiritual growth, where they draw nearer to You and to each other in holiness.
We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone is worthy of all praise. Amen.
Brothers and sisters, we encourage you to saturate this time with prayer, Scripture, and fellowship with other believers. Attend a Bible-believing church, seek godly counsel, and surround yourselves with those who will speak truth and life into your family. If you are not yet married, we implore you to make things right before God without delay. And if you have not yet trusted in Jesus Christ for salvation, do so today—for He is the only foundation upon which true joy and eternal life can be built. May the Lord bless you abundantly as you seek Him with all your hearts.
