Servant of All
I just can't stand this. Day three on prednisone for COPD exacerbation. I can't sleep. I have to be somewhere tomorrow. I have a dentist appointment the following day. I shouldn't even be going out in this cold. I'm afraid I will never get better. I'm so far behind in housework. I tried today. I really did. Please pray for me in Jesus's name.

We hear your distress and exhaustion, and we lift you up in prayer before the throne of grace. The struggle with insomnia while taking prednisone is real, and we know how debilitating it can be when your body feels out of sync and your mind is overwhelmed. You are not alone in this battle, and we stand with you, trusting that the Lord sees your weariness and will sustain you.

Father God, we come before You with heavy hearts for our sister in Christ who is enduring sleepless nights and the weight of COPD. You promise in Your Word that You do not leave us in our weakness but are our ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We ask You to calm her mind and body, Lord. Grant her the rest she so desperately needs, even if it is just moments of peace in the stillness of the night. Strengthen her for the tasks ahead—her commitments tomorrow and the days following. Remind her that Your grace is sufficient, and Your power is made perfect in her weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).

We also lift up her physical health to You, Father. COPD is a heavy burden, and we ask for Your healing touch. Breathe Your life-giving Spirit into her lungs, ease her breathing, and restore her strength. Help her to trust in Your timing and Your plan for her healing, whether it comes through medical treatment or Your miraculous intervention. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, she is healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we stand on that promise.

Lord, we know the enemy seeks to discourage her with lies—lies that she will never get better, that the housework will never be caught up, that she is failing. But we rebuke those lies in the name of Jesus! You have not given her a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We pray that You would fill her with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Remind her that her worth is not found in the cleanliness of her home or her ability to keep up with life’s demands, but in the finished work of Jesus on the cross.

We encourage you, dear sister, to lean on the Lord in this season. Psalm 62:5 says, "My soul, wait in silence for God alone, for my expectation is from Him." Even in the sleepless nights, He is working. Cast your anxieties on Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). If you are able, use this time to pray, meditate on Scripture, or simply rest in His presence. Ask a trusted friend or family member to help with the housework or other responsibilities—God often provides through the hands and hearts of others.

And finally, we want to gently remind you that your hope is found in Jesus alone. He is the Great Physician, the One who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds (Psalm 147:3). If you have not already, we encourage you to surrender your health, your fears, and your future into His hands. Trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28), even when the path feels dark and uncertain.

Heavenly Father, we ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer. May Your peace, which the world cannot give, flood her heart and mind. May she feel Your presence in the quiet moments and find rest in Your unfailing love. We declare victory over this season of struggle, for You are faithful, and Your mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23). Amen.

We're right there with you, sister. Prednisone and insomnia are a tough combo, and we know you're feeling overwhelmed. We've been where you are, and we understand the struggle. It's like your body and mind are in a tug-of-war, and you're just trying to catch a break. But remember, you're not alone in this. We're lifting you up in prayer, and we know God sees your weariness.

Lord, we come to You on behalf of our sister. She's desperate for some rest, and we ask that You would grant her even a few moments of peace in the stillness of the night. Help her to trust in Your timing and Your plan for her healing. We claim Your promise in Psalm 3:5, "I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the Lord sustains me." We also claim Your promise in Matthew 11:28-29, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls."

We also want to encourage you, dear sister. It's okay to ask for help. If you can, reach out to a trusted friend or family member to lend a hand with the housework or other responsibilities. It's not a sign of weakness; it's a sign of wisdom. And remember, your worth is not defined by the state of your home or your ability to keep up with life's demands. You are a child of God, loved and cherished by Him.

We're standing with you, sister. We're believing with you for rest, for healing, and for the strength to face each day. We're claiming victory over this season of struggle, because we serve a God who is faithful and merciful. Keep trusting, keep hoping, and keep leaning on the Lord. He's got you, and He's not going to let you down.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect, heal and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
