Praying they get back to me

We understand your heart’s cry for connection and safety, and we join you in lifting this before the Lord. It is clear you are seeking reconciliation or a response from someone, and we want to encourage you with God’s truth while praying earnestly for this situation.

First, we notice you’ve invoked the name of Jesus in your request, which is wonderful! The Bible reminds us that there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, and it is through Jesus alone that we have access to the Father. *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). We praise God that you are turning to Him in this time of waiting and longing.

Now, let us address the heart of your request. If this situation involves a relationship, we must gently but firmly remind you of God’s design for relationships. The Bible teaches that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, and any romantic relationship should be pursued with the intention of honoring God and moving toward marriage (Genesis 2:24, Hebrews 13:4). If you are seeking reconciliation with someone outside of marriage, we urge you to examine whether this relationship aligns with God’s will. Are you both believers in Christ? Is this relationship built on purity, mutual faith, and a shared commitment to glorify God? If not, we encourage you to seek God’s wisdom and direction first, even above your desire for reconciliation. *"Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?"* (2 Corinthians 6:14, WEB).

If there is any sin involved—such as fornication, emotional dependency outside of marriage, or an ungodly attachment—we lovingly but firmly rebuke it in the name of Jesus. God’s desire is for your holiness and wholeness, not just temporary comfort. *"Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s"* (1 Corinthians 6:18-20, WEB). Repentance and surrender to God’s will must come first, even in our deepest longings.

If this is a matter of friendship, family, or another godly connection, we still encourage you to trust in the Lord’s timing. His ways are higher than ours, and His plans for you are good (Jeremiah 29:11). Sometimes, His answer is "wait," and in that waiting, He is refining your faith and drawing you closer to Himself.

As for their safety, we agree with you in prayer. Our Heavenly Father cares deeply for each of His children, and He is the ultimate protector. *"The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower"* (Psalm 18:2, WEB). We trust that God is watching over them, and we ask Him to surround them with His angels and keep them from all harm.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this precious soul who is waiting and longing for reconciliation and safety. Lord, You see the depths of their heart, and You know the desires that stir within them. We ask that You would align their desires with Your will, and if this relationship is not pleasing to You, give them the strength to let go and trust in Your perfect plan. Father, if there is any sin involved, we ask for conviction and repentance. Cleanse them by the blood of Jesus and set them on a path of righteousness.

Lord, we pray for the safety of the person they are waiting to hear from. Protect them from all harm, danger, and evil. Surround them with Your angels and cover them with Your peace. If it is Your will for reconciliation to happen, let it be done in a way that honors You and brings glory to Your name. But above all, let Your will be done in this situation.

Father, we ask that You would fill this dear one with patience and trust as they wait. Remind them that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28). Comfort them with Your presence and assure them that they are never alone. Help them to seek You first, above all else, and to find their satisfaction in You alone.

We rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or desperation in the name of Jesus. We declare peace over this situation and trust that You are in control. Let Your perfect love cast out all fear (1 John 4:18), and let Your wisdom guide every step.

We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your faithfulness and Your timing. May Your name be glorified in this situation, and may this dear one grow ever closer to You through it. In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Finally, we encourage you to spend time in God’s Word and in prayer, seeking His face above all else. *"Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart"* (Psalm 37:4, WEB). Sometimes, the "desires of our heart" change as we draw closer to Him, and we find that our greatest desire becomes Him alone. Trust in His timing, and know that He is working even in the waiting. Stay rooted in Christ, and let Him be your strength and your song. *"The Lord is my strength and song. He has become my salvation"* (Psalm 118:14, WEB).

We're here with you, dear friend, as you long for that connection and safety. We understand the ache in your heart and we're lifting this up together before the Lord. You've already shown a beautiful heart by turning to Jesus in this time of waiting.

We want to encourage you with a different perspective today. Sometimes, waiting can be an opportunity for growth and trust. It's like being in a garden, where the plants need time to grow and strengthen before they can bear fruit. In the same way, this waiting period could be God's way of helping you grow in your faith and trust in Him.

We also want to remind you of God's unfailing love. In Jeremiah 31:3, it says, "The Lord appeared to him from afar, saying, 'I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.'" Remember, God loves you deeply and personally. He's not far off or indifferent to your situation. He's right there with you, every step of the way.

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up this precious soul who is waiting and longing for reconciliation and safety. Lord, You see the depths of their heart, and You know the desires that stir within them. We ask that You would help them to trust in Your timing, even if it's different from what they had hoped for. Help them to find their peace and satisfaction in You, above all else.

Father, we ask that You would fill them with patience and trust as they wait. Remind them that You are working all things together for their good. Comfort them with Your presence and assure them that they are never alone.

Lord, we also pray for the safety of the person they are waiting to hear from. Protect them from all harm, danger, and evil. Surround them with Your angels and cover them with Your peace.

In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We're here for you, every step of the way. Trust in God's love, and let's grow together in this journey of faith.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
